I’m not sure how to rate this. While it seems like a pretty good cookbook, it left me disappointed. I was expecting the recipes to use ingredients specific to Trader Joe’s (sauces, etc), rather than common ingredients you can happen to also buy at Trader Joe’s. I’ll admit that I haven’t made any of the dishes, but most of the recipes seem basic, quick and easy. I do like the relatively high amount of vegetarian recipes though. Gourmet chefs will be disappointed. If you fall into the following 3 categories, however, you will appreciate this cookbook: 1) loves TJ's; 2) throws a quick dinner together after work; and 3) enjoys eating vegan. Bonus: Glossy color pictures for *every* recipe! I think it was a marketing mistake not to clearly label this cookbook as vegan. Gourmet chefs will be disappointed. Not only are the smoothies in this book delicious, but it's forwarded by some well-researched, no-nonsense metabolism-boosting advice. Drink water. Don't get too caught up in counting calories. Fill half your plate with vegetables. Drink LOTS of water. Slowly eliminate caffeine. No extreme crash diet here -- just good ideas for anyone trying to eat healthier. Loved this cookbook...made quite a few of the recipes and appreciated their easy to follow directions and variety of ingredients. I checked this out from the library but it might be a cookbook I should own.

Probably great for vegetarians, but I don't like beans or tofu, so most of the recipes did not appeal to me. I didn't realize it was a vegan cookbook when I got it from the library.
