Billions of people on earth have taken music as a way of entertainment or relaxation not knowing what devastating effect it is able to play in our mind. Can it manipulate a young mind? Does it even play role to change our world view? How far can its effect reach to turn innocents in to criminals? Are psychological activities changed in close contact of music or song? Why is this that Islam forbade music? What the scientific findings have to say about the impact of music in our life? (🇨🇵 below) This book is good and fixes a lot of ambiguities but the author repeats himself a bit too much. Once we agree, we agree, no need to say the same point three to five times... It's too bad because other than that (and the unnecessary part about modern sciences) the argumentation is bulletproof with Qur'an, Sunnah, opinions of the ulama etc...

Easy to read, beautifully written and explained in the most convincing way. I'd be really surprised if even after reading this book, people still continue to listen to Music. The writer's research is thorough and authentic. I recommend everyone to read it and save yourselves and your children from Allah's wrath. May Allah guide us all. The book is quite informative. However, it needs better editing to get rid of a couple of grammatical errors and repetition. I was disappointed that the author really did not acknowledge different perspectives of scholars that have diverged from majority opnion, and disrespectfully dismissed Ibn Hazm. It also made some irrelevant references like Van Gogh ending his life, despite the fact that his art and mental illness had nothing to do with music. Thank you to the writer for his bravery.

If it wasn't for those little, really disappointing mistakes in the last part, and if it wasn't for the fact that I was a bit shocked after reading the book, I would've gave it a full 5-star rating. Recommended for those who constantly seek 'highness'.
