Part 10 of the 10 part black and white graphic novel series. This is it. Remy knows where her brother is and has a plan to get him away from the doctors and their experiments to find a cure before they kill him. She is willing to make any sacrifice to see her plan succeed. This book ends with a cliffhanger. Of course, it is just a set-up for the next book. But this makes me ask myself 3 questions. The first is will the next adaptation be another 10 part series? Second, would it be better to have just waited for the paperback collection of the entire series? The last question is would it just be better to read the books? Taking these questions in order. I do not know the answer to the first but I would bet they will try something very much like this especially if this series does well. Also the second book seems to be available only in electronic form, so if they do another adaptation, that will probably be electronic as well. For the second question, the paperback wasn't available yet and since I had everything else in the series in electronic form (I got the first novel and first graphic as free downloads), I might as well keep them all in similar format. Finally while the graphic novels felt like the cliff notes for the story, I have seen some elements that were not in the book.( I have only read the first chapter of the book, but it didn't start until what was basically the third or fourth installment in the graphic novel.) Overall I would say the graphic novel series was worth it but if you had to choose between it and the novel, I would probably go with the novel

I enjoyed this series of graphic novels based on Hollowland. My complaints stem mostly, I think, from my disconnect w/ graphic novels. I don't derive as much from the artwork as I do from the images my mind creates when I'm reading the actual book. There isn't as much emotion involved in this version of the story, to me anyway. Also, I felt like there were a lot of things that might not have made sense if I hadn't read the book and didn't have the benefit of inserting additional content into the I enjoyed this series of graphic novels based on Hollowland. Lastly, I wish this series had been in color; it seems like they were only half executed.
