Love this series! Brings about a new way for young adults to think. Opens their eyes to the world about them in a fun way. I'm a teacher; even my 8th graders that hate reading couldn't get enough of this series! Love this series! Brings about a new way for young adults to think. This was my first series from Margaret Peterson Haddix! I've also read her: The Missing series, and I just started the: Remarkables. Throughout all of the other books I've read of hers, I can see the same writing pattern that she used in this series. This is truly a magnificent amount of thirst for more, horror, joy, and heartbreak. The third book was so good that I finished it in one day! I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! This is a groundbreaking series! I thought that this book was good but not the best. This book was pretty good but not nearly the best in the series. I would recommend reading the first or second one. :)

Excellent young adult book/series. I met Margaret Haddix at an Alan Conference a few years ago and then we were able to get her to speak at our school and hold a book signing. It was awesome!

Smart dystopian series, good for reluctant readers in upper elementary and middle school.
