    Surprisingly good! The cover of this book caught my eye the other day. It was in the 100 kindle free best sellers list. I got it, not sure that it would be any good but, as it was free, no harm in trying. It's now back up to full price of £1.85 but, even at this, it's SO worth it. It has endless ice cream recipes in, everything you can think of and more and includes many pictures. These pictures are really good quality and really show off the food to great advantage being taken at close quarters Surprisingly good! The cover of this book caught my eye the other day. These pictures are really good quality and really show off the food to great advantage being taken at close quarters and being so very clear. There is so much variety in the types of ice creams to choose from, so many tempting recipes. Also included are recipes for lots of sauces to serve with the ices. A wonderful presentation, very pleasingly set out. Well worth getting. Now I have found more titles by Suzy Bowler: The Leftovers Handbook, Sorbets and Granitas etc. and I have added those to my 'to buy list'.

    What an absolute bargain, this little book not only has fantastic ice cream recipes it also has ones for sauces, coulis and the little pastry or brandy snap baskets to serve it in. Back to the ice cream... the method is so simple and yet so effective, the texture of the ice cream is gorgeous. So far I have made the brandied mincemeat one and maple syrup and pecan. Back to the ice cream... the method is so simple and yet so effective, the texture of the ice cream is gorgeous. So far I have made the brandied mincemeat one and maple syrup and pecan. I have used an ice cream machine before and found it too much of a faff, making the custard (and vanilla flavoured scrambled eggs a time or two as it does take some practice) remembering to chill the bowl, the noise as it churns etc. This is much easier, quicker and I think tastier too. This is the only way I will make ice cream from now on and am pleased we can eat it without all the fillers, emulsifiers and goodness knows what goes into the commercial stuff, even the organic stuff has more ingredients than it really should have.
