Not much thought has gone into the formatting, nor indeed the wisdom of putting together an exclusively baseball-themed collection of Peanuts strips. (The humour of repetition really needs space to breathe.) On a plus side, the entire undertaking is in glorious colour.

I love these books.

The baseball-related comics are probably my least favorite of the various types of Peanuts comics, but I still enjoyed this collection. :)

This definitely isn’t my favorite of the Charlie Brown comic collections, but it was a wonderful rest and reset read. The nostalgia was so prominent that at points it made me want to cry. These stories involving Charlie Brown are just simply ones that we will cherish for the rest of time. The only reason this doesn’t receive 5 stars is simply because the baseball comics have never been my favorite of Charlie Brown, and over 200 pages of them is just a lot for someone that holds that opinion. Would I recommend this? Of course! I may even tell my brother about it, and he doesn’t get many book recommendations from me.

I just thought, you know, why not? The humor of Charlie Brown and the Peanuts doesn't necessarily hold up to contemporary tastes and fads, but I still very much like to look back every now and then. I, like a lot of kids, went through a lot of Peanuts, Calvin & Hobbes, Far Side, etc., in elementary school, because every school library kept (and definitely continues to keep) a liberal supply of volumes. Definitely disappointed; I expected better since I’ve been a Peanuts fan since I was a kid. Still enjoyable, but those who have mentioned that it could use a breather between the baseball comics was dead on! I liked the extra at the end was nice.

A fun collection of baseball strips. I wish there some more older (classic) ones thrown into the mix.

Always love reading Peanuts comics!

I thought it was humorous. Just it repeated itself too much.

Solid Charlie Brown.

It’s a ‘purely baseball’ collection of Peanuts comic strips - with Charlie Brown as the ever charismatic manager, snoopy as the ever reliable shortstop, Lucy as the ever sarcastic outfielder, etc. It’s really a lot of fun! I don’t really know much about baseball but I still totally enjoyed that. I was literally subjected to fits of knee-slapping laughter in the middle of reading it in public whereby people around me were simply staring.
