Fix it and forget it indeed. Unfortunately the recipes sound much better than they tasted. While none of them were bad, no one wanted a repeat of them.

Hmmm. This slow cooker recipe had many recipes "slow-cooked" for 4 hours or 8 hours, that would literally be done in 5-10 minutes. An example -- Hearty Quinoa with Cherries and Almonds -- will literally take less than 15 minutes from start to putting a spoonful in your mouth. But this recipe is 2 hours on high or 8 hours on low. Or Creamy Carrot Soup -- again 20-30 minutes on the stovetop, but slow-cooked 6-8 hours. I can find several more examples of this. Using a slow cooker has to make sense, Hmmm. This cookbook is the perfect gift for anyone who cooks. I love making things n my slow cooker, but this book really helps when i am in a rush and can get my ingredients together and have a great dinner later on in the day.This book includes recipes for making your own bread to desserts plus more. This book has really helped me speed up my time on cooking, as well as, I now have a wonderful dinner ready for my family!

Good recipes Having a disability, it's just not safe for me to try to cook meals using a gas stove/oven, which this house has. I like the fact that I can make tons of meals that taste good and are good for me as well, all by using a slow cooker/crock pot. I feel more independent with this book.
