I couldn't finish it. Review only on one author in the book. I bought the book because of her story. (Mary Janice Davidson) The way the characters behaved, so unreal and juvenile. I can only rate the MJD story, it was truly awful in my humble opinion. I like her as a writer, this does not seem like her at all. I couldn't finish it. Review only on one author in the book. Wicked women whodunit by MaryJanice Davidson and 3 others This anthology hot stories that surround a mystery, a dead body. Sensual and hot along with mysteries are a good combination as the women gather clues to help solve the murders. I received this book from National Library Service for my BARD (Braille Audio Reading Device).

Just ok, a little disappointed 2.5 or 3 out of 5. I think that for anyone not familiar with the authors, this book would be put down not soon after opening it. Fortunately I do know most of the authors work so I could get past the many flaws. The first story was bad, but they got better as the book went on. I think the last two were the best out of the whole book. I hate criticizing authors, but I think that all of the stories could had been way better and the authors could have put more effort Just ok, a little disappointed 2.5 or 3 out of 5. Seemed like a rush job or just something fun they decided to do at the last minute.

This is a good book if you want something light and entertaining. There are 4 stories in this book written by 4 different authors: Ten Little Idiots by MaryJanice Davidson, Single White Dead Guy by Amy Garvey, Fast Boys by Jennifer Apodaca and Three Men and a Body. The stories are all murder mysteries with a bit of hot, steamy, sex thrown in. The characters in each story are mostly strangers who meet in different settings to try and figure out who the killer is.

Meh. Not sure if it's because it doesn't age well, or if I just didn't believe in all the insts-lust. The last two novellas had potential for better chemistry, but still felt flat. Was never really emotionally pulled into the stories. Scooby Doo type mysteries, though there were some twists. I personally only guessed one of the killers Meh. This was not good. It just wasn’t. It could’ve been but the short stories were too short on plot and character and too long on sex and stupid.

Jeebus this was awful. I presume that, as man, I was not the intended audience for these stories. Much as I hate to categorise literature as directed at one sex or the other, this did seem directed at women. I've always wondered what that sort of literature would look like. Now I know. I always find any sort of sex in crime novels boring, silly, and distracting. I can't remember seeing any sex in Ruth Rendell, Reginald Hill or many of the other writers I admire. In these stories the female characters are having hot flushes every ten pages. The first story, by MaryJanice Davidson, is a who-was-done-in, a genre invented by Patricia McGerr in 1947. If you haven't read Pick Your Victim or The Seven Deadly Sisters, pick up a copy from Abebooks. Davidson thinks she invented the idea. She should read more. The last story, by Nancy Cohen, has the exact same plot as Ben Elton's Dead Famous. Elton has the advantage in that he can actually write, and write well. Awful, just awful.

I got this book because one of the authors was Mary Janice Davidson and I really like her "undead" series. But this short story was a very painful read. Out of the four only one was extremely well written and it contained to much "romance" for me. I was expecting more mystery and less hanky panky. I like a mystery and these four stories were fun. My favorite one was MaryJanice Davidson's Ten Little Idiot's, I am an Agatha Christie fan and I loved this take on that story. Very explicit for those who have a problem with that. I found that the mystery part was a little lacking in most of the stories. Enjoyed some of the twists but often the unnecessary sex just marred it for me.

I only read the first story by MaryJanice Davidson. Honestly, I was appalled at how badly it was written! I have never read anything by her that was this bad. I have decided not to waste any more of my time reading the remaining stories.

Not my favorite of MJD's stories. The other stories in the book weren't fabulous either. I might track down some of the other authors' work and give it a better try though. TOTAL FLUFF & A WASTE OF TIME. She’s only good at the urban fantasy/romance/comedy books... any time she veers off that style, it is terrible.

If someone asked me to recommend a book, this one wouldn't come to mind. While not so horrible I couldn't finish it, I'm not really sure it was worth my time.
