When realtor and recovering Southern Belle Savannah Martin wakes up alone on what is supposed to be her wedding day, she isn’t sure what to think. Did her fiancé—bad-boy TBI agent Rafe Collier—decide he couldn’t face being shackled to one woman for the rest of his life... or is something more sinister going on? Savannah’s mother Margaret Anne, in Nashville for the nuptials When realtor and recovering Southern Belle Savannah Martin wakes up alone on what is supposed to be her wedding day, she isn’t sure what to think. Did her fiancé—bad-boy TBI agent Rafe Collier—decide he couldn’t face being shackled to one woman for the rest of his life... or is something more sinister going on? Savannah’s mother Margaret Anne, in Nashville for the nuptials, is certain she knows the truth: her future son-in-law has always been an ill-bred cad, and leaving his pregnant girlfriend practically at the altar clinches it. But the people who know Rafe aren’t so sure. Wendell Craig with the TBI and Tamara Grimaldi with the Metro Nashville PD suspect foul play, and set out to prove it. Shortly, a dead woman turns up in Savannah’s house. Rafe’s son David goes missing from church camp on the Cumberland Plateau. And a shadowy figure from Rafe’s past is stalking them all—a knife-wielding serial killer who likes to hurt women, and who has a score to settle. Now Savannah must solve the murder, find David, and avoid getting herself killed... or she can kiss her happy ending—and Rafe—goodbye.

This another series I started reading many years ago. I have fallen behind with it and am glad to be back. This was a very good addition, if a little bit gruesome. I have two more ready to go that I sure hope I get to before too long.

Awesome! Unfinished Business, book 10 in the Savannah Martin series, is the best so far! This was a well plotted page turner that draws the reader in from the beginning. Jenna Bennet has created that rare combination of suspense, humor, mayhem, & romance! This time Savanah wakes up alone on the morning of her wedding day to find the groom, Rafe Collier, missing. (Everyone woman should have a Rafael Collier on their life!) I was afraid this might be the last book in the series, but Jenna Bennett assures me there are more to come!!!! Btw- keep a box of tissues handy for the moments of sadness & joy!

Bravo, Margaret Anne Martin! (hide spoiler)]

Though I’ve enjoyed this entire series, this is my very favorite so far. I liked the fact that there was more focus on the characters, a deeper look into their hearts. This made me think of them more as “real” people, not just names on a page. I like the introduction of “the rookies”. I enjoyed the further insight into “Mother” and her softening of personality. With all that Savannah faced in this episode, it could have gone either way. This is book #10 in the Savannah Martin series. This one was exciting & at times intense right from the beginning but had a really good ending especially for those of us who have read the whole series so far. Savannah wakes up on her wedding morning and Rafe isn't there. First she thinks he is at the gym, then maybe he got cold feet, then she begins to worry. There are quite a few intense moments and some graphic details about the murder and a few surprises. But the book has a great ending. If y This is book #10 in the Savannah Martin series. A day that Savannah has anticipated forever. She's finally marrying the one man she doesn't want to live without, even though her mother has tried everything to convince her she should live without him. He's not suitable for Savannah in any way, shape, or form. Of course, it's Rafe's way, shape, and form that are some of his major attractions. Anyway, it's show time and Rafe is nowhere to be found. He's just gone to the gym for an early workout, right? Or, maybe to the TBI to catch up on some last minute paperwork before taking off a few days for their honeymoon. Right?? A couple of quick calls put those ideas to rest. Savannah's family is on their way from Sweetwater to Nashville for the ceremony and now she has to call to tell them there's no groom. She can just hear her mother....... Not everyone is so sure that Rafe has gotten cold feet, though. Savannah is one of them. Oh, she has her insecurities, but deep down she knows that Rafe hasn't walked out on her. She is determined to find him. So is his partner and MNPD detective, Grimaldi. And so the hunt begins. Each page has more action than the last. Wit and humor shine throughout this series. I can't wait for more of Rafe and Savannah!!! Please keep them coming, Ms Bennett.

I think I may be done with the series now, and that makes me sad because I like the characters. I just cannot take the plot holes. The writer is really ticking me off. If I'm going to spend my time and my money on reading this, I would hope that the writer would take a little care to stop the major plot holes. Basic research would have cured some of it, and good editing would have caught the rest. And if a writer wants to have a character be injured, then please do some research on the injury and be consistent. A surge of adrenaline is not going to allow a person who is so seriously hurt that he can barely move in the morning to be able to pick up a woman and run with her in the afternoon. Just cannot happen. Especially when one of the injuries would have made it impossible for him to use one of his arms. So very unrealistic.

While she has some worry that he might not be ready for such a big commitment, her main concern is that he might be in danger or worse. So much happens in the good strong mystery that I didn't see coming!!! It was so great! Ms Bennett always pulls me in from beginning to end and what a perfect ending it was.

I love, love, love this series. In this book, Savannah is still pregnant, and she and Rafe have planned their wedding. The problem is that Savannah wakes up on her wedding day alone, and not by design. Rafe is nowhere to be found. I can't help it...I like Savannah and Rafe and am excited to see them get married. When Rafe disappears, my heart sped up with worry. But in true Jenna Bennett style, all is right in their world in spite of interference in their lives. I Was surprised that Savannah's mother (the great Margaret Anne Martin) turned out to be helpful and supportive to Savannah. We got to get to know several characters better in this book, which makes Savannah et al seem more real to me. This is a series that the characters change and grow (no pun intended Savannah) in each book. While certain things tend to be predictable, other things surprised me and made me want to keep reading. Of course the growth is more evident if you read the series in order.

I am more disappointed with this book, and the series, as it goes along. The first few books in the series were amazing, the characters smartly written and easy to like. Now it seems to be getting tired and I found myself wanting it all to end. I am not anxious to read the next book. I felt like most of this book was covering old ground, explaining who everyone was/is and what had happened in previous books. I also felt that the plot was pretty flimsy and see-through. I simply could not put this book down. I love the entire series. The chemistry between Rafe and savannah is awesome. The mystery is intriguing and kept me interested to read every novel in this series. The dynamic involved between everyone is great. It totally keeps me coming back for more. This one is by far my favorite because I got a better look into what Rafe's past involved. I simply could not put this book down. I love the entire series. Worth reading, but I kinda started to hate Savannah in this book. She claims to be a new person, but yet seemed to be looking down her nose at people even more in this book than normal. I am glad her mom finally accepted Rafe though.
