This could have done with a lot more Sokka but it was a sweet read overall. Gotta love Aang and the gang.

This was great! Short. Sweet. It shows how Zhao uses Aang's hope against him, capturing him, in a missing moment in Season 1 of the series. Of course, Aang uses Air Normad relics to his advantage and Zhao ends up failing once again. Poor Aang. His hope crushed once again. This was great! Short. Sweet. Any Avatar fan knows knows what to expect from an encounter between Zhao and Aang: it usually includes a trap or a trick and Zhao's embarrassing undoing. This is no different. Although in its briefness it lacks Sokka's jokes and the sweet interaction between the team. I think it was too short to get the reader involved in the narration or build up an original storyline. A pretty great collectible for ATLA fans with a decent story.

Cute little addition. I didn’t expect much since this was part of a free comic book month. It’s two small stories no longer than 5 pages each but very enjoyable. The first story is heart wrenching while the second is fun and focused on the groups little jokes. If you love ATLA it’s worth it. Plus, it’s free on Dark Horse’s website/app so there is nothing to loose.

Wasn't expecting the tiny bit sadder tone of the first story. Both were cute and enjoyable. Wasn't expecting the tiny bit sadder tone of the first story. Both were cute and enjoyable.

3/5 (%58/100) Pretty good overall. There are two different stories and I liked the second one more mainly because it featured Toph. The first one was also good. Seeing Zhao after all this time was a nice flashback to the events of the first season. As an ATLA fan, it is good to have this in my collection. It is free on Amazon so get it if you like the anime/cartoon. However, there are better Avatar comics out there for sure.

FCBD 2011 has 2 stories. The art on both is fantastic and both stories are good. Relics - Johane Matte - 5* "One doesn't catch pheasent-squirrels by staying on a boat. Great book This is a great book, but a little short. And the drawings in the second story are a little interesting. The first story, feels like the TV Series, which I love. But the second sorry just feels off somehow. I don’t know. Overall it’s an amazing comic book, and definitely is worth 4 1/2 stars. Hope this helps😉

Excellent Story Avatar the Last Airbender has a fantastically written story and excellent character development for a child’s series. It is consistent, intriguing, and emotional.

Very good short comic, to be honest, keeps the essence of the original show. Could have been a good episode or part of a multiple stories episode

Read this (and "Dirty is Only Skin Deep") in digital edition. Would've made a decent Book One episode. Read this (and "Dirty is Only Skin Deep") in digital edition. Would've made a decent Book One episode.
