Tish Davis tells a good story! I really enjoyed this story, as well as the other three in this series. I appreciate Tish Davis' imagination: characters, story, & dialogue! This is why I give it 4 stars. I do struggle with some of the typos, inconsistent spellings of names, etc. And I'm not a fan of so many repeats of information/details that make it seem like we didn't understand or connect it the first time. (Though this book didn't do it near as much as the first book in this series.) I realize Tish Davis tells a good story! I really enjoyed this story, as well as the other three in this series. I realize the author may just forget she has already said it & isn't trying to insult our intelligence, but it can really take the reading experience down to an elementary level for the reader (me.) I will continue to read books by this author, however, because she tells a good story! Hopefully those things will improve with future books.

Plenty of action with twits and turns This author shows how scripture can be wrongfully applied in attempt to shame or control individuals without the grace and mercy of God. Such conduct is also found in cults. You will enjoy reading how God turns a situation meant to shame and punish Victoria for her good along with blessings!

This series of books has been so much fun. Here we got a good look at Boston as well as the life of a U.S. Marshall. We find that defiance can be a good thing.
