Actually 3 stars. Once again the plot has not moved forward ..at all. The action is fun, but it's the same ol same ol. But oh my god! That Ad! 5 stars! Lol. How can I give an issue 5 stars because of an Ad? Well I don't care, it's just something I want everyone to see, especially because I doubt they will include it in the Tpb. Update: ad is also in Nightwing Rebirth. I guess it's more of a Batman v Superman Snickers ad. I thought it was special to this action comics issue, since it fit right with th Actually 3 stars. I felt like this issue was half repeated by the last. Like an anime episode -_-

i know this one is getting some hate due to lack of progression of the story and true that is a genuine concern and a valid cause to dislike this book , That said personally i really enjoyed this book . The mystery surrounding Mr OZ (Ozymandias?) , Superman , Clark Kent and Doomsday still intrigues me and the action was well portrayed , i think there maybe a future plot where people will start to see Luthor as the saviour of general public while superman as a destroyer of metropolis and if that i know this one is getting some hate due to lack of progression of the story and true that is a genuine concern and a valid cause to dislike this book , That said personally i really enjoyed this book . The part where Superman asks Luthor to save people first , it was reminiscent of old days of superman when his priority was always to save people lives unlike New 52 Superman (or for that matter any super powered being) who cared naught about the collateral damages that they were causing . As i said this was the superman i liked and i believe most of the people liked and i totally dig it 2. The plot also shows lois talking and trying to explain to him about Doomsday and how powerful he is , infact it's been referred multiple times and the power of doomsday on display itself is a sight to behold , i always felt that apart from Batman all the DC New 52 villains were handled very easily by their respective protagonists unlike pre New 52 but this time it was all hands of deck as Doomsday kept wiping the floor out of the superheroes in front of him

Actual rating: 4.75 The fight with Doomsday is getting dragged out a bit, but it's still cool. The best part of this issue was seeing Superboy and Lois talking about Superman. Everything else was just pretty standard. It reminded me a lot of the last issue in the series where Superman and "Superlex" are concerned. Still, this is one of the best titles so far. Still a strong issue but the fight is lasting a little long but I still really liked it. I love the art in these Action Comics. I'll be curious to see what happens in #960 as I think Wonder Woman will be involved. I am going to definitely subscribe to this comic. Will this stupid god damn fight ever end? Nothing has happened and we have not learned anything. The same information is just repeated every issue. What a frustrating waste of money.

This comics gets a LOT right. The art is amazing, the emotions hit all the right spots and the entire issue is jam packed with action, true to its name. I cannot wait to read the next issue.

Doomsday has shredded Luthor’s armor and taken the fight back to Superman! Supes is trying to use what he learned from fighting Doomsday the first time to turn the tables on him this time. Even as Superman tries to use a different strategy to combat this juggernaut, Doomsday shows glimmers of a cunning we haven’t seen before. This is a really intriguing fight. Jurgens continues to balance out the action with the mystery of the other Clark Kent as well as the emotional scenes of Lois and Jonathan. We even get some insights into Luthor and his armor this issue, but not any hints as to a larger scheme. While the balance is pretty good, after a few issues of this now, we need to see something change the pace next issue. Tyler Kirkham provides some very nice artwork this issue. While I do still kind of prefer Patrick Zircher, I know that the bi-weekly schedule is too much for any artist to maintain. Kirkham gives us a very nice portrayal of all the characters and action and has a touch of anime inspiration that sets his work apart from Zircher’s. There are a few panels of Lois and Jonathan that are very emotional and Kirkham does a nice job portraying those as well as the big action sequences. Nice to see his versatility! Another great issue, but expecting a change next time!

This book is not what I expected it to be. The action is all fun but the story is flat, no plot progression and no feelings of excitement. I'm wondering what would happen at the end of this arc considering that this story feels like nothing at all. And by the way, I already knew who Mr. Oz is because it was spoiled before I read this which somehow watered down the already unexciting story. This book is not what I expected it to be. 4.5 stars Lois is narrating this issue & recalls what happens when Superman fought Doomsday... as it is happening again. She reassures their son Jon that everything will be alright, but she knows what happened last time. Lex still wants the people to see him as the new Superman, but Doomsday is handing his ass to him. Superman & Clark Kent meet & I loved the dynamic they have. I hope they become best friends. Clark thinks Superman is the mystery man that told him to go into hiding. I think it is time for answers because I want to know what is going on with this Clark Kent. It looks as though Doomsday beat Superman, which makes me want to hurry up & grab the next issue. Is this the same Superman that was just hanging out with his son in Superman #2? The same one that was fighting with the Justice League? How is all this happening at once? The artwork in here is pretty good & I need the artist to work for the Superman Rebirth issues.

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers. To view it, click here. I don't think Lois' recap was necessary. And for Superman to "forget" that gaslines run under the city...I'd buy that if it were his first day. Great learning experience. But we're looking at a hero that, while retired, was doing this for years. That's the point of him. You'd think he'd have it drilled in him not to be surprised. Not-Superman "Clark Kent" is very annoying. There's a lot of talk that just doesn't feel natural in the midst of this kind of battle. Luthor's posturing. I'm not at all interested in any of the "mysteries" that are puzzling the characters. I just really don't care.

Just page after page of relentless action with Doomsday and Superman. I might have various issues with storyline annoyances but I was into this issue in a big way. This had me from the very first page.

I might give it a 3.5. I like the action scenes, of which there are a lot. We see Clark, Super-Lex, and Superman, in the same place, at the same time. Those guys are as confused as I am as to why that is. Superman is not " our Superman" so who the hell is Kent? Anyway, onto the next issue. I might give it a 3.5.
