Do Modern Devices Need "Beginners Guides"? With the pace that devices such as the Echo change a beginner's guide can only really cover the very basics unless the guide is frequently updated. The recent addition of allowing phone calls is touched on in the book but can't really go into detail as the system is likely to change as it's fine tuned. Beyond telling us that the Echo can be used for music, answering questions and controlling some home automation there's not much else in the book. I found Do Modern Devices Need "Beginners Guides"? Beyond telling us that the Echo can be used for music, answering questions and controlling some home automation there's not much else in the book. I found the style a little repetitive. It's currently a free book which is why I've given it more stars than I would have if I'd paid for it. From the hour reading I've learned about "ask my buddy" which, if this works as suggested, made the time reading worth while.
