Whow! I didn't know this book is listed here on goodreaads! I just searched it and was surprised to see that other people have been using it too, just like me! :) This is a very, very old book! Small, yet very good when it comes to understanding the crucial things about theory. This is actually my first Music Theory book! Love it! It was published around 1958! A vintage! Not sure whether this book is still available though. It's such an old book. Helped a lot! And will be using it forever! :) Whow! I didn't know this book is listed here on goodreaads! Incredible book, easy to follow and taught me 90% of what I know about music theory (the rest coming from my uni course and the internet, in various forms). My grandad used it back in the late Fifties, gave it to my mum in the early Seventies and I read it in the late Noughties - it's a kind of heirloom! If you find it doesn't explain something clearly enough, look the term up online. It also features a lot of Italian words that are used in music, and most of these are still handy to know today. Blah. Who wants to read about theory? Boring! But for educational purposes it is very useful. But seriously, who likes theory? I personally hate it so reading about it was painful, but I did learn a bit from it.
