This book actually changed the course of my life, odd as that may sound. Since my discovery of this book in a Barnes & Noble when I was 12, Giger determined my course as an artist and lover of the arts. Oddly enough this determined my path as a reader too, since Giger turned me onto Lovevecraft, who turned me onto Dunsany, Clark Ashton Smith, Howard, etc. Compared to Giger's other coffee table books (Necronomicon 1 & 2), this one has a kind of odd division between the 60s ink works and the later This book actually changed the course of my life, odd as that may sound. The 60s inks are breathtaking stuff and that's really what grabbed my attention about this book. The airbrush stuff is arresting to one seeing Giger's art for the first time, but it pales a little after one sees his 70s airbrush murals. H.R. Giger's art was a profound thing and this book is a great example.

OH. MY. GAWD!!! WOO! As you may or not know, I have been sorting through boxes of books that have been collected by me and fam over the last decade or two, and I am desperately trying to thin the collection. So, after all that, I looks it up after looking and reading it a bit; it's huge, got it's own case and everything. I like Giger and his work, I love Alien. But OH. MY. GAWD!!! WOO! It has a foreword, as well, by Giger fan, Harlan Ellison. I think I may have a limited edition book! I guess I have to take it to a bookstore and find out more, but needless to say, looking and reading this has been a priceless gem! WOO! I was wondering what you guys would do and what you thought that it should be worth!?!!

Another treasured book on my shelf. I love all the sexy women's mouths Giger paints in this book. I really want this ring: http://www.artatlarge.com/pages/giger... So then I would have another big chunky ring to never actually wear. Another treasured book on my shelf. I love all the sexy women's mouths Giger paints in this book.
