Because I love this author I must explain why 1 star for this book. Newman explains better than anyone I have read regarding man not having two natures... the new heart upon death with Messiah... and he does so with one Scripture after another... line upon line... Yet, regarding his description of the law... you will notice so many statements (assumptions) made with zero Scriptural reference... in regards to for example there being a ceremonial, civil, or moral... this idea is completely unbiblic Because I love this author I must explain why 1 star for this book. Yet, regarding his description of the law... you will notice so many statements (assumptions) made with zero Scriptural reference... in regards to for example there being a ceremonial, civil, or moral... this idea is completely unbiblical... hence he offers no Scripture in that regard... which is too bad because what makes him such a good teacher on what he does know... he will use Scripture upon Scripture. There is one law for Jew and Gentile... Yeshua's yoke has never changed... his yoke was never unbearable... there was never a problem with God's law... the problem was the heart of man. When you read this type of material make sure the author is backing 100% of what they are saying with Scripture... and then test everything they say with Scripture.
