Meh, this is getting worse and worse, there is no sense in it, scene after scene with no sense (that´s a weird sentence ha :D ). The crime part, can we even call that a crime part anymore? So boring. The only thing I enjoyed was the fantasy part, the issue with the pixies, that was it. I used to like this serie as it was so easy to read, so relaxing, but the last couple of books just are not doing it anymore for me. It´s the same over and over, it gets very boring. This is the latest novella in this series I've read, and each on I rated 3-4 stars more 4's then 3. I'm not going to keep reviewing them, you can read the 1st 10 to see what I thought or you can download the first one for free on Amazon I really recommend you do that if you like witch stories or funny British humor. This was a definite improvement over previous installments. There was actual plot and the secondary characters weren't so annoying. It had the qualities of the first books in the series and reminded me why I fell in love with this fun, fluffy story. This was a definite improvement over previous installments. Another Winner! Adele Abbott has outdone herself in this spectacular yarn revolving around the life of Jill Gooder, P.I. and, oh yeah, witch. This book will keep the reader on the edge of their seat as the multiple mysteries she works to unravel takes one on a wild ride; filled with drama, romance, crime and a very unique sense of humor!

Another Witchy Adventure My favorite Witch P.I., Jill Gooder, is back in this 19th (!!) installment, serving up plenty of wacky adventures (lots involve Winky, her 1 eyed talking cat) as she investigates several cases in both the 'sup' (supernatural) world of Candlestick and the human world of Washbridge. Missing pixies, missing human fisherman, murdered man in a freezer--Jill uses her witchy skills like 'shrink', 'invisibility', & 'doppelganger' to get the real scoop behind the mysteries. Meanwhile, she's dealing with having 2 p.a.s, a new landlord who wants an excuse to break her 30 year lease, and keeping her human & witch lives separate, Living with Jack, a police detective, keeps Jill happy, at least until they have to deal with their neighbors... Humorous mysteries with lots of sup characters from wizards to ghosts to werewolves and the Rogue Retrievers who hunt the bad apples who break the rules in the human world. Easy to read and quite addictive, the entire series allow readers some escape, and go down as easily as a frosty Margarita on a hot summer evening.

Very Clever So Winky's preference for red, not pink, salmon made me look up the difference. I am confused. Let's leave it at that. Mrs. V comes up with a pretty brilliant idea regarding her job share with Jules. I love it. We'll see how it goes. Is there no end to Grandma's innovations? Seriously! Missing beings this time, as well as the odd murder. Again, very clever is our Jill. I wonder why people don't think she's doing well? A very special party is coming up. This is seriously a laugh a page. Ji Very Clever So Winky's preference for red, not pink, salmon made me look up the difference. I am confused. Let's leave it at that. More fun with Jill I really enjoyed reading this book and the many mysteries it contained, big and small. Sometimes Jill seems to bumble along, but she’s really quite clever and always manages to figure things out in the end. In this book, ghosts get a bigger role and we get to meet some pixies, but the real fun of the book is that in spite of Jill’s hard work, Grandma gets the last word.

Stay Home Stay Safe I'm on book 21. A thoroughly enjoyable read during this pandemic. The main character, a Private Investigator, learns she is a Witch. The story is entertaining, the cases keep you guessing. Fun characters, including a cat,, dog, and hamster who make life even crazier for the character. Cozy Mystery, plus, Laugh out loud moments. Yay! I don't know how she does it but I'm glad she does. Ms. Abbot is turning out Candlefield books like crazy, and what's more, over time, they've gotten better and better. She also has announced that there are many more to come. And that's great for me. They are light and entertaining and I'm fond of our witch P.I., so they're always welcome. Yay! Fantastic I really enjoyed Which Is Why The Music Stopped. There was plenty of action, mystery and witchiness. After 19 books Adele Abbott is still writing strong and I'm loving it! I really love this series. Jill cracks me up with her interactions with her cousins, Aunty Lucy, her animals in both worlds makes me laugh. I like how she tries to help sups in the human world while trying to hide her abilities.

Another delightful read I've been reading this series since it started and I honestly can't believe we are on book 19! The author does an excellent job with all of the mysteries and they are never boring or repeated. I love the cheeky British humor and slang, it's delightful. Although this series doesn't delve too deep into Jill's relationship with Jack, this one shows the meaning of the relationship. This is also the first time I have guessed as to the culprit in one of her PI cases, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Excellent as always. Fun read! I have enjoyed the entire series. I like Jill's sense of humor. It makes me laugh out loud. The stories are a quick read. I have had to look up a few things about foods from England as I didn't know what they were here in America. The investigations are cute. Fun read! I have enjoyed the entire series. I like the supporting characters in this series and I liked finding more out about the "sup" world. But for some reason, Jill is just getting on my nerves. This one is better than the last two or so as there is more of a plot again, wth development. Shame though, that I was not able to borrow it on prime anymore though
