This cover is OK. It's a bit on the boring side. It doesn't give you any hint to what the story is about. I am also not a huge fan of the font used. Like I am always saying an awesome book deserves an awesome cover and this one just falls a bit short in that regard. So Wowza...I am not sure where to begin with this one. I thought book one rocked, but this one took the awesomeness to a WHOLE other level. It's been five years since Emmalyn and Kodah were rescued from slavery but wounds are still festering, and evil is still lurking around corners. For the past five years, Kodah has watched over Emmy. Keeping an eye on her hoping one day, she will be strong enough to remember him. Remember their love for each other. Emmalyn has spent that time slowly healing but afraid that remembering will destroy all the progress she makes. With the news that someone from their shared past is after Emmy again, Kodah is tired of waiting, and it is time to bring his girl home. So like I said I LOVED this so completely (well ALMOST completely. I had ONE small issue). It was fantastically well written and paced. It had twists and turns. Hot sex scenes. It was dark at times. It was twisted at times. It was heartbreaking at times. It was hopeful at times. It had a great cast of secondary characters. I can't wait for J.B and Bailey's book. I hope Buck gets his shit together because I need a book with him as the hero as well. Both Emmalyn and Kodah were fantastic main characters. All wrapped up in a tear-inducing ending. This was almost 5-Stars but ONE teeny tiny issue kept me from completely loving it. I am going to post that problem in spoiler tags so DO NOT read if you don't want to be spoiled. (view spoiler)[Book one was a very hard book to read. Child sex slavery and what both Emmalyn and Kodah went through was very HARD to get through for me. In this one, I wanted to see them moving on and healing from their pasts. I wanted the physical pain they endured while captives to be 100% completely over. So I did not like the fact that Emmalyn gets raped again. For me, that felt a bit gratuitous, and the scene and the aftermath all could have been the same without it having had gone as far as having the one thing that had always been Kodah's taken away from them. For ME that took a little bit away from their romance. (hide spoiler)] All in all, though this was a FANTASTIC read and this author has earned herself a spot on my "favorite authors" list for sure. Two HUGE thumbs up from yours truly.

SET US FREE: Is the second instalment in the (Bound Forever, #2) series by M.R. Leahy and needs to be read in order for you to fully enjoy this series. Spoken in ‘Multiple Perspectives’ For Emmalyn and Kodah being set free meant living in the real world, it meant living a life they always dreamed about together You don’t have to back peddle to remember the previous book as this kickstarts off right where Book 1 ended. It's been five years since Emmalyn and Kodah were rescued from the slavery that was finally shut down, they may have been rescued but they are far from free. Many dangers await them. Someone yet again is after Emmalyn, someone who knew her well. He knows where she is, he's just waiting or the right time to strike again. Emmalyn is a patient at James Edward Hospital for the last five years where she’s been battling PTSD and trigger attacks, she’s spent five years lost in her own head, trying to make it in a world that only sees the damaged girl, five years where something more than a memory is missing from her life. Her brain is like an unsolved puzzle with pieces missing and scattered around, and she’s left foundering trying to put the broken pieces back together again. 🌟 Eleven years ago my life was taken away from me, and I never thought I would make it out alive. I thought my chance at living was gone. Five years ago I was given a second chance at life, but I wasn't really living. I was hiding, scared of what it really mean't to live. Always in the background is a stranger that makes an appearance on the 26th of every month, no matter she she is, he is always there just on the outskirts. Who is he? Is he friend or foe? BUT something in the back of her mind keeps telling her to go to California. is there all demons will be put to rest? Will everything be revealed? Will she find her other half, her soul mate? Set us free is not for the faint hearted. It is a dark, gritty read, it has triggers, and hard limits for some readers, it is raw and will make you cringe in many parts and will pull you out of your comfort zone like no other book will. Heed the warnings. M.R. Leahy has created such raw passionate, severely broken characters, each and everyone of them will pull on your heartstrings, and crawl into your heart. Our story wasn’t over..Demons never sleep.

Though she get snapshots at times, her past is closed, including who and where her family are. The only real constant is blue eyes and a hooded figure. Kodah has had to make difficult decisions but none greater than giving Emmy time to heal. In the meantime he's had to move on and that includes building a future, alone. The fates must be on his side when he randomly walks into the Souless Sinners MC compound and is accepted as a prospect. This story isn't over as Emmy struggles to come to terms with a past she can't remember, Kodah struggles to fit into the MC lifestyle, and unknown entities from the past look to reclaim their property. * * * * Warning: This story features main characters of adult age who engage in consensual sex. Advisory for those with triggers as there are dark scenes included that depict non con & violence that may be disturbing. Consider yourself warned. This is the follow up conclusion to Set Me Free that continues the adult age romance between Emmalyn & Kodah though the majority of the story is more mystery/suspense in that we finally get answers to several unresolved issues that were outstanding. Emmy & Kodah. I defy anyone to not root for these two. Circumstances may have put them together but love kept them there. Seeing Kodah's pain when he found out Emmy had amnesia was hard to swallow. On the positive side it DID create the circumstances to start fresh and court her as two adult would normally. Of course Kodah is now a biker and that does complicate any thoughts regarding bouquet of flowers, chocolates, and fine dining dating, but damn I myself would crash and burn for my own Kodah biker. lol. I'm walking a fine line as much of my opinions regarding this book are contingent on aspects from the first book which would be outright spoilers. Additionally, the major twist, in all it's glory, should not be leaked to any potential readers as it would totally ruin the reading experience. Thus, this is one review that will be light on factual insight and heavy on... check it out if you're a fan of dark themed MC romantic suspense stories. Seriously. As a new author, Ms. Leahy has a future that I foresee being a major fan of. ps. At the end of this book there is a teaser blurb chapter introducing the NEXT book (it was promoted as a bonus scene) that I'm drooling to get my grubby little hands on. Bascially though... the series isn't finished......

Since reading Set Me Free at the beginning of this year I was really looking forward to reading Set Us Free. I wasn't disappointed. I absolutely loved this story. 5 stars! One of my favorite series ever<3 You must read Set Me Free (book one) before reading Set Us Free (book two). Eeeeekkkkkk MR Leahy has done it again! I was given the awesome opportunity to beta read for this book and let me tell you, it is an amazing conclusion to Emmy and Kodah's story! I can't wait for everyone to read it! "He was a memory that was meant to be remembered, not forgotten. No matter what our future holds, I will never forget him again." I will not go into the plot- I hardly ever do. But I will say that this book is not for the faint of hearts. It is a dark read, it has triggers, hard limits to some readers, it is raw and will make you cringe on some parts. But it is also a must read! It will make you laugh and cry (I cried a lot), swoon, and make your heart feel full of hope. It is the type of read that will have your heart pounding because you need to know what happens next. The plot twist totally blindsided me; I didn't see it coming at all. But it will also make your panties drench because those sex scenes were hot ;) Kodah is unforgettable and one of my top book boyfriends ever<3 #Mine I honestly don't know when and if I'll be able to move on anytime soon, but now I'll be obsessing about getting my hands on those secondary characters stories! I can't wait to see what MR Leahy has in store for JB and Bailey's story! If you have not discovered this amazing author, I suggest you read Set Me Free asap! What are you waiting for?

Better Than the First! At the end of Set Me Free, I wasn't sure how I felt about the whole Emmalynn, Kodah and of course that crazy mother of hers. While I still didn't get the answer about the mother I was looking for, it didn't matter. The book was fantastic from beginning to end. This review may contain spoilers from the first book, so catch up before reading. "My secret is my savior-but my savior is also my sin." Honestly, they all have secrets, every last one of them. Kodah is chomping at the bit to tell his, Drifter and Buck want to keep theirs for as long as possible and Emmalynn, this girl just wants to know where she belongs. She's out, he's out, but they aren't together just yet. At the end of the first book, Emmalynn is having trouble remembering what went down when she was held captive and has finally decided to move along as best as she can from it. A decision that is absolutely killing Kodah, who remembers everything, along with JB and Bailey. "That girl holds my entire reason in the palm of her hands and she doesn't even know it, but she will." He's a patient man, until he isn't. There is so much going on around these characters, it's hard for the reader to tell which way is up at times. We have the survivors from the trafficking ring, as well as the MC and it's members working together to figure out why the past isn't staying in the past. "What Emmy and I got is too effed up for words, our past is something nightmares are made of, our present is full of stalking and secrecy, and our future is fragile and unknown." Pretty much sums things up. I liked Emmalynn this time around, she was a tough chick, determined not to let the past bring her down. She tried to say strong for her friend Bailey, who was also held captive and give Kodah what he's been waiting five long years for. Drifter and Buck also took me by surprise this time around. They were an unlikely pairing that ended up being the stars of the book in my eyes. The book is well written from dual points of view and travels from the present to the past, filling in missing information. There is a nice set up for Bailey and JB unfolding the entire time and I would definitely like to see what they are up to next. Reviewed for Renee Entress's Blog.

Set Us Free is the continuation of Emmy and Kodah's story from Set Me Free. It was such an intense emotional read that there were times I just had to set it aside and breathe through my emotions. Book 2 picks up where book 1 left off. It is the not-so-easy love story of Kodah and Emmalyn, but nothing good comes easy, right?! This book demonstrates how strong a love can be if you truly love that person. It is a love of faith, perseverance, endurance, and forgiveness; not just between the two of them but also between family & friends. Their story will grab hold of you and won't let go. I recommend reading this book. There is no shortage of angst, action, suspense, mystery, love, sexy scenes, lust, dark subject matter, & violence....basically a roller coaster of emotions. It will break your heart on a number of occasions, but M.R. Leahy always puts it back together. She is a wonderful author who makes her books and characters come alive! Thank you for sharing this heartbreakingly beautiful love story with us! If you haven't read book 1 (Set Me Free), what are you waiting for???? Hurry and read book 1 before book 2 releases. You won't be disappointed!

Yup, that’s right, because OMFG…SET US FREE, the epic conclusion to the BOUND FOREVER duet, was absolutely brilliant in all its brutal, beautiful splendor!!! Fact. I was not sure what to expect going into this sequel because the bar was set SO INCREDIBLY HIGH with book 1. Well, I can unequivocally say that Ms. Leahy left me spellbound again!!! To be honest, it’s kind of hard to express how much I had invested in Kodah and Emmy…ill-fated lovers who give new definition to the term TORTURED SOULS! They owned me from page one of SET ME FREE, where I fell instantly in love with these two terrified, enslaved children who grew up amid harrowing circumstances and clung to each other like their very lives depended on it. Which they literally did. Even though their nightmarish imprisonment ended five years prior when they were liberated from the sex trafficking compound, they still have many hurdles to overcome in this book. Namely the fact that poor Emmy has amnesia. She remembers nothing of the past…not even Kodah, the boy who was the other half of her soul, her savior, her stalwart protector. "It’s been five years since I was rescued. Five years of PTSD and trigger attacks, five years of trying to fit into a world that sees me as damaged, and five years of feeling like something more than my memory is missing." While Emmy has spent all this time painstakingly trying to heal and reclaim her life, with the help of her overprotective father figures, Drifter and Buck, Kodah has been quietly watching over her his traumatized beloved from afar, and in the interim has forged a new family with the Soulless Sinners MC club in California. But on the 26th day of every month, without fail, he shows up in Texas at the hospital art studio where Emmy seeks sanctuary. Years ago when they were in the slave compound Kodah made a pledge that he vowed to uphold to his last dying breath. “I made you a promise… I promised you that I would always be there for you. That you would never be alone. I promised you a future.” But her future is uncertain at best. And even though they never exchange a word all these years, and Emmy has no idea who her guardian angel is, she finds his presence strangely comforting and is inexplicably drawn to him. "He was a memory that was meant to be remembered, not forgotten." And as it turns out she has more than her memories chasing her. When Kodah catches wind of the grave peril she is facing, he is done biding his time. He is reclaiming his girl, screw the consequences, but when their pasts and presents collide can they finally set each other free from the shackles of their pasts or is their nightmare truly just beginning? Sighhhhhh! This book consumed my heart, obliterated it and then slowly but surely fused it back together again. I felt EVERYTHING Kodah and Emmy and their tight knit circle of family and friends felt. Their frustrations, fears, hopes and dreams, their sweet triumphs and soul-obliterating setbacks. There were so many churning emotions that bubbled beneath the surface, so much repressed pain, lingering terror and pent up longing that I had a constant ache in my chest and was literally on pins and needles throughout. Kodah and Emmy are a rare book couple… they have endured unimaginable tragedy and pain and suffering that would splinter a typical duo in two, but giving up on each other was NEVER an option for these forever soulmates. They loved each other with a wild, fierce possession that steals your breath! Kodah is a true warrior and he never stops fighting for his girl, who despite her aura of fragility is more fearless than either of them could ever imagine. I cherished them both…and--SWOON!--I melted into a puddle every time “Romeo” cradled Emmy in his big, sheltering arms, kissed her gently or crooned “baby!!” But oh my heart… did I hurt for the big guy just as much, as he felt so powerless to help Emmy banish the ghosts of her pasts, unlock her repressed memories and fully embrace the love they once shared. "The need to help her and protect her rages stronger than any storm, it always has. But protecting her from herself, from things I can’t see… How do I win that battle?" The extraordinarily gifted M.R. Leahy proved beyond a shadow of a doubt with SET US FREE that she is so NOT a one book wonder. She had a lot of ground to cover with this book, tons of questions to resolve and mystery to unravel, and she handled it with the aplomb of a seasoned pro! This novel delves into some extremely harrowing subject matter... abuse, trauma, brutal assault, PTSD, to name a few...but she struck a perfect balance between hope and heartache, light and darkness. The execution of the plot was, in my opinion, sheer genius. She did a masterful job of juxtaposing between the present and the past, all the while relaying the story via multiple POV of all the key players—including Emmy, Kodah, Buck, Drifter, JB and Pops. This unique approach paid homage to the characters’ complex histories, converging all the various story threads into one cohesive plotline, and foreshadowing future storylines for upcoming books. The plot unfolds at a breakneck speed, finally reaching a fever pitch in a SPINE-TINGLING CRESENDO that was equal parts horrific, cathartic and searingly emotional!! I do not want to reveal any of the chilling twists and turns that unfold but be forewarned: THIS. BOOK. IS. DARK. And if you have triggers this is probably not the book for you. The journey these characters traverse is gut-wrenching, visceral and raw it literally made my skin crawl a time or two, but it is also sweet and pure and breathtakingly romantic I exalted with joy. And the ending was EPIC indeed! I wept my way through it…happy tears this time! It was truly the perfect culmination of their hard earned battle which showcased our beloved Emmy and Kodah clawing their way out of the oppressive darkness to the shimmering light where “together we will shine brighter than the sun.” Bottom line? M.R. Leahy blew me away with SET US FREE, and even though I have bittersweet feelings that Emmy and Kodah’s story arc has reached a fitting conclusion, I can rejoice in the fact that JB and Bailey’s tumultuous story is just beginning…!

The read this book for an honest review. 5 stars I thought the story of Emmy and Kodah got to me the first time. That was not even the half of it. Emmy has this light even after all the bad that has happen to her and it still amazes me after this read. What more can this woman endure after everything she has gone through. Day after Day she comes stronger and stronger. 5 years of therapy and she still only gets bits and pieces of what has made her the woman she has become today. I threat that could damage her more comes along. Kodah has had to stay away for 5 years to let Emmy learn how to adapt to normal life. 5 years his heart has been ripped away from him. The man he has grown into is indescribable. He has never given up on her, and he watches her all the time. Drifter and Buck are back, protecting Emmy, letting her live, but everything has a price. Buck and Drifter has hidden a lot from Emmy and now she has to move to Cali, for protection. She thinks is to be closer to Drifter, but what she doesn't know might kill her this time. This book was so beautifully written that you come unglued chapter after chapter. What Kodah and Emmy have endured is nothing but miraculous and the sad thing is there is more to come. I didn't give you all the details of this book because you need to read SET ME FREE first or you will never really understand everything. Emmy, she thinks she wasn't wanted, just given to her mom. When secrets are revealed they will not only hurt Emmy but also Kodah. The secrets will try to destroy everything that Emmy knows now and put her in a dark place. A place she may not be able to recover from. When her memory starts coming back fragments of a time, you will never believe who is who in this book. It is going to be harder and harder to learn the truths, but for the sake of Emmy and Kodah, they are going to have too. These two have been apart for so long, Kodah can't wait to get a piece of him back. The piece that he had to let go for her to heal. What amazes me is the strength of both of these characters. They want to live and that is all anyone deserves. JB is back also and he is a force to be wreck en with also. He has some dark places he goes to, to survive what he went through. Seeing how everyone survived and how they keep surviving differently, is something that this author was absolutely brilliant in writing. Bailey is a new character, which will prompt for the next book for JB and Bailey. She played the best friend to Emmy. I feel her character is going to be one of the harder reads. Everyone survives differently through trauma. This book plays out how different people cope. There is not a right way. There is your way. This book has demonstrated this time and time again. Amazing book. I can't say how glad I was to be able to read this author.

I received an ARC of Set Us Free for an honest review! 1. Would you recommend this book to others, and why? Yes! Kodah should be what every woman wants in a man! He was such an amazing character. 2. How long did it take to finish? Less than a day! As soon as it was sent to my kindle I stared this book and I managed to neglect all my motherly duties to finish it! 3. Were the main characters likeable? Likeable? Uh duh! How could you dislike Emmalyn and Kodah? You couldn't. Their story was amazing. I received an ARC of Set Us Free for an honest review! 1. Would you recommend this book to others, and why? Yes! Favorite quote? “I'm going to get us out of here, Emmy, and when I do, I'm going to keep you." (Although this is from book one (Set Me Free), it was repeated and still a favorite quote of mine. 6. Were the characters and their problems believable? Human trafficking is real. Child trafficking is real. I love books that call attention to the very ugly realities that happen in our world. PTSD and other psychological issues are some things that I am interested in. 7. Is the plot unique? Yaassss! 👏👏👏 Amnesia? Motorcycle Clubs? Human trafficking? Slaves? Can you be anymore unique?! 8. Did you like the way the book ended? The ending was perfect. Kodah and Emmy are life! 9. How would you rate it? 5 Stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10. Dislikes/Likes about the book. I did get frustrated with Emmyalyns memory but that was nothing against the author or the writing. I just wanted her to remember Kodah already! There is nothing that I hate about this book. It was the perfect ending, especially after that cliffhanger we were left with in Set Me Free. I cannot wait for the series to continue. JB and Bailey's story will be an amazing journey I am sure! I am so glad that I found MR Leahy and cannot wait to see where she will go in life as an author!

I can appreciate when a book receives lots of praise and accolades from several different readers. This series by MR Leahy has been on my TBR list for a while-and I finally got a chance to dive in. I'd like to say that I have absolutely no reservations about how dark a book can get-so that is not where my issues lay with this book. I believe that the dialogue between the characters felt insanely forced. At times the book felt so bizarre because there was just so much going on. With the weak dialogue it was tough to become attached to the characters-which is something that is quite vital to the story. Again, this book is probably as dark as you can get, so I would reccomend this to any lover of dark romance. - By Victoria

I have to keep this short and sweet, and I refuse to spoil a story. Especially one as intense and intricate as Set Us Free. This book MUST be read after Set Me Free. Giving this book 5 STARS doesn't even begin to really express how much I loved this book. I wanted more Kodah, more Emmy, more Buck and Drifter and JB. I wanted it all, and I wanted it now. At the end of Set Us Free, I'm left with the same feeling. I have answers now, but along with them came more questions. And if I'm going to throw it all out there, this insanely talented author made me love unlovable characters! Who does that?! I love this series. There's so much pain and heartache but also lots and lots of love! You just had to look deeper beneath the surface of some characters. Emma and Kodah weren't the only ones that have stolen my heart. Buck, Drifter and even JB were loveable individuals and I hope that we get to see at least one or two of them again in the future. Buck, Drifter and even JB were loveable individuals and I hope that we get to see at least one or two of them again in the future. This book was a lot different to the first. Emma and Kodah were finally free from that horrible place but their past still haunted them. Both struggled with Emma's memory loss and her panic attacks due to flashbacks. I can't say which had it worse, Emma for not remembering or Kodah for not knowing when or if his love of his life will remember him again and having to live without her until then. “He was a memory that was meant to be remembered, not forgotten.” But there was a lot more going on in Set Us Free. It wasn't just about Emma and Kodah anymore. It was about revenge, acceptance and most of all about family. It was also told from multiple POVs which added more width to it since Emma mostly dealt with her memory loss and getting her life in order while lots more stuff happened around her. The Story: Emma and Kodah are finally free but life isn't what they had planned and hoped it would be. Emma doesn't remember most of what happened and struggles with panic attacks due to flashbacks and triggered memories of her past. But the one thing she knows for sure is that the man in the shadows, a stranger, gives her a feeling of familiarity and safety. Kodah tried to stay away and give her time to remember, but it hurts more and more to not being able to touch her and hold her in his arms. But he's certain that one day he will make good on his promise because Emma has always been his and the world should know that. When a thread turns their lives upside down, it's just a matter of time to find out if it will destroy them once and for all or finally bring them the yet missing piece of their happily ever after. Thoughts: As much as I loved this book, I think it could have been even better or darker at some parts as we didn't get to experience everything first hand (i.e. stuff with Buck). If I had to choose, I'd say that I liked Set Me Free a little bit better, which doesn't mean that this one was not as good, it's just a question of different opinion/taste. I loved the special bond between Emma and Kodah in the first book which wasn't as present in SUF because of her memory loss. But both books were just too different to compare as they played in two very different chapters of the character's lives (during captivity and after). The book started out rather slow. Emma couldn't remember anything that happened and her recovery was a slow progress which was understandable. Every time when she remembered something, it was like a punch to the gut, pain radiating through her body, overwhelming her. It definitely was an emotional read. Especially seeing Kodah so helpless, when all he wanted was to be with her but couldn't. “This is why I never wanted to remember. This is why I have fought for so long to keep things hidden. Because of this pain I knew I would feel.” I absolutely loved Buck and Drifter! Both so different yet so similar with their troubled minds. There was one thing that I did NOT like, which I can't tell you about because of spoilers. Not that the story was bad because of it, I just wished a different outcome of a particular scene closer to the end. Last but not least, I am looking forward to JB and Bailey's story. The sneak peek got me all excited and I hope we don't have to wait too long for their book. I loved JB already in SMF and SUF and hope he will find his peace with his past. And like I mentioned before, I'd be happy to see some characters again. -- I received an ARC of this book from Give Me Books Promotions in exchange for an honest review. --

Reading Set Me Free left me really anxious and I patiently count the days from the announcement of the release of the second book of the Bound Forever Series. Emmy and Kodah’ story continue in Set us free. After escaping from hell, they will be both lost. Emmy’s confusion and loss of memory will lead them to take different ways. The human mind is so powerful that after a great loss it blocked and forced us to forget and makes the pain bearable. That’s what Emmy will experience. Forgetting her past let her unprotected from threats but she has Buck and Drifter. To start living when you do not remember your past makes difficult to have a future. “Our past is something nightmares are made of, our present is full of stalking and secrecy, and our future is fragile and unknown”. Kodah will leave Emmy to heal. She does not remember him but he must keep his promise to be for her when she needs it. He will be her shadow, protecting her until she recovers her memory. “That girl holds my entire reason in the palm of her hands and she doesn’t even know it, but she will”. Can love survive to pain and loss? One might think that after the humiliations that Emmy and Kodah suffered, they won’t be able to love freely. Love conquers all. It will take 5 years before Emmy recovers her memory. During that time Kodah will build a future for her, hoping to be forever with her until Emmy’s past hit her harder. “Everything around us tints in reds and violets, lust and love. I have never seen anything so beautiful, muscles, tattoos next to scars... he’s perfect”. A person from their past will threaten Emmy’s safety, forcing her to remember her past. Drifter ad Buck will do anything to protect the girl who saves both. She will be frustrated with herself because her heart and soul recognize the stranger who follows her and it hurts her no to remember him. “I pour everything into that kiss; my frustration, my fears, my hopes and my love... I give it all. And he takes it, begging for more”. Fate has prepared more things for them before the can have their happily ever after. Their family and friends will support them and loss will follow them again. However karma will take its price. “They see the true love we have for each other. They see the light in the dark” . This book as the first in the series is told by the main characters and there are also included some POV’s from other characters like Drifter, Buck, JB and Bailey. All the characters are complex and the pace is steady. This book is like a Russian roulette for your feelings. It’s full of darkness, nostalgic, hope redemption and intense and well written sex scenes. I highly recommend you to read this baby. It’s a must read that you do not want to miss. An advice: don’t miss JB and Bailey because the next book will be about their story. [author:M.R. Leahy|16115821 has a new fan. Her writing is deliciously addictive. Even though she is unable to remember, others remember Emmy, and her life is at risk from those wanting to draw her back into slavery. It will take all her saviors’ resources as well as banding together with unexpected allies to keep her safe from harm. If and when Emmy remembers and can confront her past, will she be able to have the life of love and freedom Kodah promised her? Set Us Free is a powerful and moving conclusion to Emmy and Kodah’s story. Both have lived through things most of us cannot even imagine. Yet, Emmy somehow retains her light that draws others to her. And Kodah remains unwaveringly faithful through the years just waiting for the moment he can once again claim his place in Emmy’s life. M. R. Leahy does an amazing job with her characters and their stories. I love that she explores difficult and taboo topics such as sexual slavery and its aftermath on the survivors and has characters that just because they did bad things, does not make them evil. This book is thought provoking, intense and emotional to read. It’s an amazing sequel to Set Me Free, and in the end, provides a bit of lightness that is Kodah and Emmy. This book is not for everyone. If sexual assault or slavery is a trigger for you, please stay away. That being said, it is an amazing read. Kudos to M. R. Leahy for tackling these topics in an exceptional way. 5 stars.

Gah!!!!! I can't even deal with all my emotions!!! Set Us Free was EPIC!!! It was everything I wanted it to be and more! The second installment of the Bound Forever Series, by M.R. What I will tell you is that Emmalyn and Kodah's love story takes us on a roller coaster ride of emotions that will leave you at the edge of your seat! Kodah's love is like a security blanket to Emmalyn's broken soul. With each new moment that they share, their love grows stronger and more beautiful than ever. I can't even begin to tell you how many times my heart melted for these two characters. Their love story is one that was born in the darkest moments of their lives, but it bloomed into such a powerful and intense love that nobody can break. I read this series back-to-back and now I have the biggest book hangover!! I already miss Emmalyn and Kodah and I can't wait for the next installment to release! M.R. I really hope she gives each and every one of those characters a story as unforgettable as Emmalyn and Kodah's epic love story. This series is going in my Top 2017 Reads list. It was absolutely CRAZY AMAZING! I give, Set Us Free, by M.R. Leahy, 5 all-consuming, mesmerizing, dark, intense stars!

By opening my eyes and my heart I was able to find that beauty, I was able to forgive. I was able to find my light in the dark and my reason in life. I found my happy ever after. I can't wait to read JB & Bailey's story next.

Five Thrilling Stars! This is the second book in the Bound Forever Series and should be read in order to fully enjoy this series. We pick up where we left off with Emmalyn and Kodah. It has been five years since they were rescued from slavery but they are definitely not free of their demons. Still there is someone who is looking for Emmalyn and he knows where she is and is just waiting for the right opportunity to strike again. Emmalyn is in the hospital where she has been battling PTSD for the past 5 years. There is something in the back of her mind that keeps haunting her. Will she be able to recover and push back her demons? Who is the person that she keeps remembering? The story is a dark and gritty read, with plenty of twists and turns. If you have problems reading a book with triggers this book may not be for you. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and read it in one evening. I loved the characters and cried and laughed along with them! I definitely didn't want to put the book down because I needed to know what was going to happen next! The story was beautifully written and I will definitely be looking for more books by this author. I highly recommend this book! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. This book was read and reviewed by Annamaria for Alpha Book Club. Plot: 5 Chemistry: 5 Pacing: 5 Ending: 5 Character Development: 5

First off, you MUST read Set Me Free (Book 1) first! No ands ifs or buts about it. I'm rather new to MR Leahy, but I became a fan instantly, and that hasn't changed one iota. If you want some sort of description of book, just read the blurb, as there is no way that I'm giving one without ruining it for everyone, and I don't do that. And Kodah, what can I say about Kodah, other than I fell in love with him, not to mention he's panty destroying material. MR Leahy has a super talented writing style that transported me into this dark world, and even with freedom, there is a steep price, that kept my heart racing, and seriously jacked up! It's dark, gritty, and not for the faint hearted, in fact, I can handle just about anything, and this story had me putting it down (although I didn't want to), in order to take a calming breather. That's the utter brilliance of this author, that I was overwhelmed like I was there, and afterwards, wanted to go out and just throat punch random men. Anyway, I won't go on anymore, except to encourage those brave enough to read this, as it will feed any dark and twisty beast (it did mine), but remember, be prepared! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR THE BRAVE EVERYWHERE!

After reading Set Me Free I couldn't wait to dig into the second book in the series and I wasn't disappointed. Emmalyn and Kodah journey doesn't start of as I thought it would. She thinks she is finally free but somewhere in her hidden memory is something missing. She knows she has dealt with such a troubled past but she has come out strong and is determined to put the past where it belongs but something or someone is pulling her back there and she knows deep down she may need to go back to a dark place to find out what it is she needs to move forward. Kodah is willing to do anything for Emmalyn even if that means not being in for front of her life...for now. They should both be out of danger but there is something lurking in the shadows just waiting for the right time to bring them right back where they have escaped from. This book was full of the excitement of not knowing what was next. The danger of it all added to the suspense that you are kept in. As much as i flew through the book to find out the ending I didn't want it to end !
