Terence and Moira clearly have a heart for animals. The story, in its simplicity, touched me deeply. The orange dog will creep into your heart and live there, making a home for every dog who has been left to fend for itself, or abused. Whether you are a child or a grown-up child, you will love this dog and look at strays in a completely new light.

It was beautifully written and illustrated. The story gave me a sense of sadness and happiness at the same time. I have always been an animal lover, who feels very strongly about cruelty to any animal. Orange dog's story, although heartbreaking at the beginning, instills a sense of hope for other animals out there, who might be lucky enough to find a caring human. A wonderful way to teach children about animals and how to value life. The rhyming words provide an fun way to help children to read. It was beautifully written and illustrated. Brought tears to my eyes An original production with lovely rhyme and photographs, and a lesson for all of us. A special one for dog lovers and to teach children to care for the underdog.

A beautiful, real-life story. Both the adults as well as the children in our family thoroughly enjoyed it, and would recommend it to anyone wanting a glimpse into a stray dogs life. . . with the happy ending!

My 9 year old grandson said the story is quite sad, but it teaches you a lesson about life, bravery and courage. Thank you Oliver van der Veen.

This true tale of Orange dog touches a tender spot. This sonnet speaks in rhyme, the tempo matching Orange dog’s mutinous energy as he jogs free at last to find food. The dog’s destiny is paved with stones and roses. Thanks for my free copy of this delightful children’s story with a fairy-tale finish. Elaine Smith
