It appears the General Zod storyline is over.....for now...things being left open ended. I did not normally collect the Rebirth Action titles, UNTIL General Zod appeared in the Suicide Squad and that storyline continued into Action back in #979. But I think I will stick around until at least #1,000! And still continue on with Suicide Squad as well.

The House of Zod is reunited!! Loved the sassiness of Zod in this. Especially asskicking Mongul into orbit and bitch slapping Metallo around. The lesson of this story: Don't argue with Zod! This was actually a good issue to this less-than-good arc. Glad that the Superman-titles seem to be improving!

ACTION COMICS : REVENGE = includes (#979 - #984) - 3.5 out of 5 stars The return of Zod as a mainstream Villain has to be the key feature of this story arc , that said the storyline was decent throughout with Superman facing a bunch of old nemesis . But considering most of those nemesis were , to put it mildly , b-grade villains Dan Jurgens decided to give him a handicap . And as I said before , the final result was decent storytelling , that had some good action and perfectly pitched suspense . And as I said before , the final result was decent storytelling , that had some good action and perfectly pitched suspense . The problem however was that , much of the storyline felt repetitive . (view spoiler)[ we've had a Blind Batman story in past , we've had countless villain team up stories , heck even the villains using Batman's plan against superman was done brilliantly in the past in the Tower of Babel storyline (hide spoiler)] . Not only that to really appreciate this storyline one must be up-to-date on their DC storylines , including the supergirl , the cave carson , the Superwoman ,Suicide Squad, Chinese Superman etc etc. and even the old Superman lore . In the end it was okay , but had potential for more .
