Rock Star: Music & Lyrics Book 1

Nate Nash was a rock star… used to be a rock star. Now he was just a sad cautionary tale. He’d been living the high life for the last five years, since he was discovered in a dive bar. He’d chosen a chance at fame over loyalty to his friend and duet partner. He walked away from her when the record company told him they didn’t want her. Five years later, having made too ma Nate Nash was a rock star… used to be a rock star. Now he was just a sad cautionary tale. He’d been living the high life for the last five years, since he was discovered in a dive bar. He’d chosen a chance at fame over loyalty to his friend and duet partner. He walked away from her when the record company told him they didn’t want her. Five years later, having made too many bad decisions and lost too many nights to the pleasures of the flesh, his career had tanked and now the record company that signed him wanted its pound of flesh.
To make him feel even worse his partner, Stevie Jacks - the one he walked away from in order to take the record deal - had just hit the big time. It was just his luck that when his life was on the way down the crapper, hers was headed for the stratosphere.
Was there any way he could salvage his flagging career and repair the rift between them?

This is part one of a two-part story - a happily ever after is not guaranteed and it may very well end on a cliff-hanger.

*This is a ‘Too hot to Handle’ Romance on the Emma Lea rating scale - These are definitely 18+ reads and contain graphic sex scenes and high level swearing – not for the faint of heart

Any story that takes me behind the scenes of the entertainment industry automatically has my attention. There’s just something about peeling back the curtain and seeing how the magic’s made that appeals to me. Watching Nate and Stevie navigate producing a song together while also trying to unpack some of the baggage they’ve been carrying around held me spellbound. There’s a bit of an abrupt cliff-hanger ending, but I think I can see where it’s trying to get to. I can’t wait to read the next book Any story that takes me behind the scenes of the entertainment industry automatically has my attention. I really enjoyed this book and I thought that it had a good all round storyline The book had a well-developed and strong storyline and it was one that kept me turning the pages. The characters were an excellent trio, well developed and I loved getting to know them too. It was a romance waiting to happen – romantic and sexy and I am delighted that this is the first in the series – I can’t wait to read the next one! It is 4 stars from me for this one – a great story – highly recommended!

What do you know when you're young Stevie and Nate have been singing together since they were seventeen. She taught him how to play guitar. Until one night 5 years ago when he ruined everything. Now he's trying to get his life back and trying to save his career. This is a cliff hanger so there's a book 2. Can't wait to start reading it. DNF (15%) I didn't like the style of writing at all. I wasn't impressed by the characters or the plot either. DNF (15%) I didn't like the style of writing at all. I wasn't impressed by the characters or the plot either.
