    الكتاب المقرر لمادة أساسيات الشبكات والاتصالات CS2204 الكتاب ضخم، وقد درسنا ما يعادل نصفه بالإضافة إلى الاعتماد على كتب ومصادر أخرى في الكورس أحد الأشياء التي لم أفضلها في الكتاب احتواءه على الكثير الكثير من التفاصيل الدقيقة، في بعض الأحيان ضاعت الصورة الكبيرة أثناء مناقشة تفاصيلها نقطة أخرى، لم أجد الكتاب كخيار ممتاز لدراسة مقدمة إلى الشبكات لطالب ليس لديه أي خلفية عن الموضوع، كثيرا ما شعرت أن الكاتب يفترض معرفة مسبقة لدى الطالب في المجال المادة في العموم كانت صعبة لكني اجتزتها أخيرًا
