But, as you'll discover in Growth IQ, there are just ten simple--but easily misunderstood--paths to growth, and every successful growth strategy can be boiled down to picking the right combination and sequence of these paths for your current context. Tiffani Bova travels around the world helping companies solve their most vexing problem: how to keep growing in the face of stiff competition and a fast-changing business environment. Whether she's presenting to a Fortune 500 board of directors or brainstorming over coffee with a startup founder, Bova cuts through the clutter and confusion that surround growth. Now, she draws on her decades of experience and more than thirty fascinating, in-depth business stories to demonstrate the opportunities--and pitfalls--of each of the ten growth paths, how they work together, and how they apply to business today. You'll see how, for instance:   *  Red Bull broke Coca-Cola and PepsiCo's stranglehold on the soft drink market by taking the Customer Base Penetration path to establish a foothold with adventure sports junkies and expand into the mainstream.   *  Marvel transformed itself from a struggling comic book publisher into a global entertainment behemoth by using a Customer and Product Diversification strategy and shifting their focus from comic books to comic book characters in movies.   *  Starbucks suffered a brand crisis when they overwhelmed their customers with a Product Expansion strategy, and brought back CEO Howard Schultz to course-correct by returning to the Customer Experience path. Through Bova's insightful analyses of these and many other case studies, you'll see why it can be a mistake to imitate strategies that worked for your competitors, or rely on strategies that worked for you in the past. To grow your company with confidence, you first need to grow your Growth IQ.

I quite liked the book. That said, slightly long and it actually hurt when, towards the end, a chapter on Purpose opened with a quote by Zuckerberg.

Tiffani Bova has presented a unique approach to understanding how businesses grow and what the successful ones (and some not so successful) do to prevent or cure a growth stall. What makes this book stand out is Bova’s recognition that the most interesting and innovative ideas are at the boundaries of conventional strategies. The combination of growth strategies is where the magic and lie. Great book for anyone seeking to understand how to build a business and keep it growing.

Honestly this book has opened my eyes on so many things regarding the different growth paths for one’s business. I find it so helpful to list different companies experiences and easier to learn from them than listing some facts. For people wanting to start learning about different growth paths, definitely go for it and read this book!

Innovation Evangelist Tiffani Bova using good stories and examples to discusses, ten paths to top line business growth. She uses examples and stories of leaders and companies exemplifying some and all of these techniques as part of their overall strategy. While it is worthwhile breaking down techniques into silos, the examples shown always resort to a combination of these 10 techniques.

This book is a collection of case studies or sorts and not even as well written as a good case study. That said, the examples mentioned in the book are quiet pertinent.

This book will appeal more to those who have not been exposed to marketing concepts such as Ansoff's growth matrix, co-opetition and other commonly-used growth themes. The value of this book lies more in the selection of stories and how it relates to the concepts being presented. Being a marketer, its not as deep as I would have hoped but the insights are a good starting point to find gaps and areas which growth can be derived. A good book. Reminds me of "Good to Great" by Jim Collins. Growth IQ is the book you want to read and take notes, read again and sharpen the notes. The book will help if you are facing a stall and would inspire you if you are on the growth path, making sure you are prepared for the next curve. A definite read, and not a quick read. Absorb the lessons and implement them as you see the time for each of the ten Growth strategies. A good book. Reminds me of "Good to Great" by Jim Collins. I first saw Tiffani Bova speak at a conference. Bova was very compelling and I bought the book but it took me over a year to read. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I finally found the time for professional development and this book was on the top of my list. It was a very good read with a lot of interesting impacts and ideas surrounding growth.

A book very well put to the explanation of the each chapter with real life case studies.A failure of a business is a lesson to many, which seems to be the central theme of the book. The book also explains how its mentioned how topic centred case studies solutions could have been fruitful for the given companies. In the end of the book she explains all 10 growth path with perfect summary.
