This book offers numerous recipes and tips for using an Instant Pot pressure cooker. I bought one about six months ago, and although I feel as though I have a good grasp on how to use mine for the recipes I make often, I wanted to experiment a bit. I wanted to make some different meals and use some of the menu options on my cooker that I haven't tried yet. I also want to make hard boiled eggs, yogurt, a cake, and steamed vegetables, just to mention a few.

I like the author's writing, but I'm wishing for more pictures. Now the library wants it back, so I'll have to borrow it later to cook more. I like the author's writing, but I'm wishing for more pictures. Now the library wants it back, so I'll have to borrow it later to cook more.

This is a fantastic book. The recipes are easy to execute, full of flavor and inventive. I really enjoyed the ones I tried. Additionally, the book is well organized with just the right amount of cooking detail so that you can't mess up. If I was only going to have one instant pot cookbook this would be it. 4.5 Stars This is a lovely cookbook. Wonderful photographs and plenty of them. It has an easy to read Table of Contents and Index. It has heavy, slick paper. A visual delight. I opened the shipping box and just went aaaaahhhh with a big smile! Really, this might be the prettiest cookbook I own out of 50 or so different kinds I still have around. I just love to read cookbooks, and that goes back to my 20s. (I'm not able to cook much anymore due to neurological issues with my hands, but an Instant Po 4.5 Stars This is a lovely cookbook. I opened the shipping box and just went aaaaahhhh with a big smile! Really, this might be the prettiest cookbook I own out of 50 or so different kinds I still have around. I just love to read cookbooks, and that goes back to my 20s. (I'm not able to cook much anymore due to neurological issues with my hands, but an Instant Pot is workable for me in some cases if I use precut ingredients.) There are quite a few recipes I will try from this book. I have a lot of IP cookbooks, but this one has more things that I will try to make than many. I bought it for the large Soup/Stews chapter, but there are many other recipes I found to try. The Beef Stroganoff looks really good. This author covers every single step in operating the IP, so no guesswork is necessary. There is also a short introduction to using an electric pressure cooker (they are all pretty similar) and a FAQ, which will help some people. You can use this book even with another brand of electric pressure cooker. My one problem, which is certainly my own problem, is that there are really big seasoning lists. In some cases I will substitute mixes from the store, like with the 5 Alarm Chili (because nothing is better than Wick Fowlers Chili Kit). At any rate, so many ingredients make some of these recipes pretty expensive. After all, I can get excellent Hot and Sour Soup at my local Chinese restaurant (I buy several to freeze), for less than $3.50 each. I find this pretty common in many books, and if you want to eat as cleanly as possible, using fresh ingredients and spices is optimum. At any rate, this is certainly an IP cookbook I would recommend and the hardcover is only $1.00 more on Amazon than the Kindle edition.

A good assortment of recipes, including an impressive number of different kinds of chili. Some recipes turned out tasty as written (Bigos = yum), while others needed adjustments. For example, chicken drumsticks straight out of the Instant Pot have slimy white skin, but with a few minutes under the broiler (and a few minutes of reducing the sauce), the results are far tastier and prettier. And the sauce for sweet potatoes with black beans and quinoa worked better with half the water. I recommend t A good assortment of recipes, including an impressive number of different kinds of chili. Beautiful book but not my favorite recipes but that just might be due to my taste and cooking style. I recommend checking it out from your local library to see if it is right for you. My sister-in-law cooks a lot of the type of meals listed so I bought her a copy and she loves it. So to each their own. It is super beautiful and is a well-made hardcover that lays flat on the counter making it easy to use while cooking.

Read in Target Starbucks while I was hungry--but still, The recipes in this book are absolutely drool-worthy! Everything included was made in an Instant Pot, most recipes from pot to table in 30 minutes or less. Each recipe called for completely accessible ingredients--not fresh ostrich truffle oil! I was so impressed with this book I asked Santa for it for Christmas and I'm excited about the Instant Pot again! Pretty good book. It has a little bit to try from a lot of different areas. Most of what I like about it is things like cooking times for how much of what you're making on what settings using what kind of cookware and release information. I feel like we definitely got our money's worth there, and the rest is scouring the internet. Pretty good book. It has a little bit to try from a lot of different areas. Such a great collection of usable recipes, and I love the little details and tips and tricks filled through out the book... but why oh why leave out pictures for half the recipes! Such a shame... otherwise this would have been a 5 star book.

With over 200 recipes, I was surprised to find not many appealed to me. Too many ingredients for me and not many recipes that I can complete fast. This book is perfect for someone who has the time.

Lots of interesting ideas especially for cozy Winter foods. All though some recipes it seems like it would be easier to just cook on the stove top.

Well written, but not enough photos in my opinion. To be fair, most cooking books have the same problem.
