In the challenging world of self-publishing, authors who are searching for answers can easily become overwhelmed with all the online resources. Some say it’s easy to self-publish, others claim it’s complicated, and some contradict wisdom. It’s enough to make you want to throw up your hands. Don’t! I am a self-published author who has given advice to others. But I must say that I was thoroughly schooled while reading this well-written, obviously researched, informative book. Never have I read a resource that touched on every topic, leaving no guessing or a purpose to search for help beyond these pages. This book guides, defines, breaks-down, and lays-out a step-by-step guide that will help you stop wasting unnecessary time, money, and plan your writing journey down to the final second. I highly recommend this book to self-published authors, and a must have for those aspiring writers who are starting out. Get this book and save yourself a lot of stress. You won’t regret it! It will become your self-publishing bible.

For someone completely green to self-publishing, this is a good starter book. There is a lot of useful information to help you view your work like a marketing pro, not just an author. I made a nice "to do" list of options to consider when I publish my own (first) book, hopefully by the end of the year. A fair amount of grammatical faux pau throughout the book, but don't let that distract you. If you are on the fence as far as self-publishing goes, this provides an informative overview.
