   A calming immersion into the authors exercise in stylistic vocabulary, not unlike witnessing the trainings of a gold medalist, I appreciate the nearly raw beat of these stories. It occurred to me that I might not have the literary awareness to enjoy some of the finer layers present in these characters, but I don’t claim to comprehend the training regime of world class athletes yet I still enjoy the fruits of their labors.
