Okay. If you're a culinary connoisseur who refuses to eat anything frozen, this book is not for you. It's fairly simple, with ingredients you won't have to order on Amazon, and won't win any real prizes for originality. But if you're a Supernatural nut like me who is seriously struggling in the kitchen because so many restaurants are closed and you never really learned to de-glaze a pan until now, and you'd really like some recipes that give you nerd-cred as well as a sense of not being a failure Okay. You can pretend you're cooking for the Winchesters. And when you do, can I come over too? 😂

I may not be the biggest fan of supernatural, but I am the biggest fan of food, and this is beautiful.

This cookbook is amazing. Normally I'm kind of sceptical about cookbooks that are made especially for fans of 'something'. It always seemed to me that good recipes weren't the priority, but this book proves that that isn't always the case. The recipes in here aren't complex, super healthy and culinary tour de force, but they are good nonetheless. I would say non-fans would also enjoy cooking out of this cookbook. I definitely recommend this cookbook, even more so for true fans! This cookbook is amazing. Normally I'm kind of sceptical about cookbooks that are made especially for fans of 'something'. Oh how my heart is happy! I simply adore this show. I had no idea that this was coming out, saw it on the cooking table at work, did a little happy dance and promptly bought a copy. So much goodness in one little cookbook. Happiness can be found between the covers.

Loved this book and my friends really want to try out some of the recipes. My only thing is that "Winchester Surprise" in this is a different recipe than what they actually cooked on the show. Samantha Smith (Mary Winchester) had tweeted out the recipe during s14. Yes, it's mostly road food and a bunch of things that are semi-character themed. A lot of the recipes sound like they'd be great for family/friend gatherings, though. Loved this book and my friends really want to try out some of the recipes. This book was an excellent love letter to all Supernatural fans who have enjoyed the series throughout the years and wondered about the food the brothers enjoy in their travels. For someone who barely cooks, I'm excited to try these out! The instructions are simple and to the point. And the recipes are, of course, mouth watering! Got this as a joke gift but jokes on them because this cookbook rules. It was written with love and a deep knowledge of the show. I literally sat down and read a whole cookbook!! The recipes look great and the references are hilarious. I’m only giving it four stars though because there is no mention of my mom Ellen Harvelle or The Roadhouse and that is criminal.

Cute cookbook linking Supernatural with good recipes. Each recipe ties into a scene of Supernatural and looks delicious. Fans of Supernatural will love it. And if you love cheeseburgers and heavy, home cooked breakfasts, you will also love it.

This is for fans moreso than cooks. I liked most of the recipes that were included, and how they tied into the show, but you won't find anything fancy in here- just the way the Winchesters would want it. I never realized just how much food is in this show. All the recipes are actually pretty damn good too. My husband and I had a fun time going through this book together, and we can't wait to try Death's Fried Pickles. I never realized just how much food is in this show. Really easy down to Earth recipes. Love how it took food mentioned in the show and made it real...even Winchester Casserole. Also loved how it went up to the latest full season. Great tribute

Sections in the table of contents: Breakfast, Appetizers & Snacks, Sandwiches & Burgers, Soups Salads & Sides, Entrees Dessert, Drinks. I appreciate the layout and with this being a diner style cookbook I think it makes sense to have a section devoted to breakfast foods. Graphics: Pictures of almost all of the recipes which I love. Ingredients and methods: Easy to find at the grocery store. Not too many ingredients for most of the recipes. Most of the steps seem straightforward and easy to follow. Recipes: Like many of the other themed cookbooks I have read these are recipes I want to try once in awhile. It's diner food so more than once a month would probably be too much grease and sugar. Thankfully this book has more vegetables than some of the others I have looked at. Verdict: I will reserve my decision for when I have actually made one of the recipes.

Up to date with some season 15 info, the recipes are simple but good, and the added show tidbits and photos are wonderful. Nice gift for the fangirl in your life.

I'm a huge fan of the show, so the blurbs on each recipe were fun for me. However, the one thing that surprised me was how amazingly easy the recipes are to cook. I am the cook in the house, but I'm by no means gourmet. Most cookbooks are not at my level. It was a nice surprise to buy the book for the blurbs and the pictures from the show and end up being able to actually cook stuff in it. And the pictures of the food were awesome too. All around, this cookbook is really well done. Unless someon I'm a huge fan of the show, so the blurbs on each recipe were fun for me. And I'm already planning to try the fried pickles, Winchester Surprise, Jack's cereal shake (21+) and a slice of pie the night of the series finale.

I read this entire cookbook front to back, and have never been so excited to cook. The recipes are all very simple and easy to follow, and really creatively relate to the show Supernatural. The photography is gorgeous, and the blurbs relating to the series sporadically placed throughout the book give me so many nostalgic feels. I'm most excited to try out Winchester Surprise and Hunter's Nog with bourbon! Great cookbook and great gift for anyone who loves Supernatural. This is a must have for any Supernatural fan. This book is full of delicious recipes, some of which are inspired by the characters of the CW show and others that have featured in the show. It even has the little extra detail of telling you from where the food is featured in each episode in the series. I am looking forward to trying a few recipes from this book.

Ok so I don't know if cookbooks are supposed to be reviewed differently than normal books - in that if we're supposed to try the recipes first. I have read through it and I like the references to the show and I am really interested in trying some. That being said, no I have not had a chance to try any yet. If I do perhaps I'll just update this (if I remember to do that.) This has a good range of recipes and most are pretty easy to make. Some are directly related to the show - like cheeseburgers, pie and Winchester Surprise. And there are photos from the show throughout.

I found it weak on both sides- not enough SPN canon to entice die-hard fans and the basic level recipes have weak connections to the series. I suppose collectors who need everything SPN would have this sitting on their shelf but I don't see much real use from it. Best used cookbook I have this in hard copy and now that's finally digital, I repurchased it for my devices so it's easier to take to the store to get ingredients from my favorite tv show's favorite recipes. A great compilation of Supernatural trivia and photos but not the greatest cookbook. Not one recipe I want to make. Nothing interesting really. But lots of Dean and Sam love.
