The other people writing reviews have a very different opinion than I do. I am done with this series. The writing has never been exceptionally strong. As long as the story line was good, I didn't mind. Now, the story is also weak. How much do I need to know about the playful "bad" kitties? It is a little bit cute in SMALL doses, but give me a break! Once again we have the scenario wherein Super Todd and superhero marines go after a tough objective and blah, blah, blah. Still a tangled mess I took a break after book 4 hoping book 5 would be better. Unfortunately still disorganised plot threads with extraneous dialogue. And The Author needs to give up on having characters “romantically “ involved if he can’t show development. They should have just remained best friends, it would be more believable.

It’s getting serious, folks. This has been such a crazy action packed series that I eagerly look forward to reading, however this story left me feeling a little flat. It still has great characters, and a fast paced story with many subplots and schemes on the go, but there was not as much Morgana and guys fighting action and although I like Todd, I find the scenes with him and the Hooligans frustrating as it takes the focus off Stephanie and the guys. Plus the exaggerated and disruptive antics of Bee and Zee didn’t mesh with their previous traits. They always listen to Stephanie and Vishlog, so why all of a sudden are they misbehaving to this degree? That aside, I will say that there were some very intriguing tidbits dropped. We finally learn about Morgana, and what the personality could really be - love it! - and BURT gets an upgrade and daughters (don’t ask), plus there is the ever present action that I have come to relish. Still a great book to sweep you away for a few hours, but not my favourite so far. 3.75 stars ⭐️

Such a great story that kept me entertained for many hours. We follow the adventures of Stephanie, her team and her entertaining as ever cats, as they clean up from the last mission, and take a giant leap into what happens next for them. Relying heavily on her ship, Ebony Knight, Stephanie, with help from Elizabeth, and loads of scientists, work hard on breaking Burt, the AI who started it all, away from the Federation Navy. Woven very well throughout the story, without being at all confusing, we are shown a bigger picture view within the universe itself, including the amusing scrapes that Todd and the Hooligans get themselves into, what the Federation Navy is up to, some really great scenes with our favourite Meligornians, and even shown a little behind the curtain with the Telorians. It was really great to watch Stephanie grow and develop in her role as not only magic user, but also a leader, and find a bit of time for fun and laughs, with even some Todd time thrown in. Some of the funniest parts were towards the end with Burt and his 'daughters' and I just can't wait to see the evolution of these relationships with each other, as well as with the rest of the team. I would recommend this story to anyone who would like to have a lot of hours of an entertaining, engrossing story, that keeps you engaged and not wanting to switch off.

Fun, but needs more Marginally messed than the previous books, with characters having changed since Book4 for little or no reason, with people saying stuff that you don't remember them being so into saying prior. Several times I felt like scratching my head in wonderment : "why is he doing this to these such and such characters? What happened to this is going to happen and this will happen," with skips in time and chat times and mild talks skipped over and forgotten. Alas I give 3 stars because the author should have taken a little more time and FINISHED this book, and not rushed it. We all could have waited another month or two for editing and getting in an extra 10,000 words of details, conversations , and more action.

Truly disappointing! I have been happily consuming the earlier stories in this set and expected the same with this one. After all BURT was relocating with the help of Elizabeth and the team, the story so far had me hanging on with might and main, somewhat could go wrong? Well the bones of the story are still there, but this book is filled with juvenile antics by so-called professionals and stupid humor like "your momma" jokes, and absolutely asinine dialog that detracts from the story. It almost appears as if the author had a retarded assistant help him fill in the dialog. He even managed to slip in a fart joke. This was a waste of many hours reading time. I need to look at the earlier stories and see if I overlooked this in my eagerness to read the story.

Me no speak fuck off There do need to be words added, expressions, like a grin, or actions that let me interrupt what fuck you fuck off suck my dick. And not one sided. Just because the A1 is laughing doesn't mean Ka is or what ever she feels or thinks. The is a blank spot for most of that team. I'm not feeling the comerodity at all. These have been great stories. I've very much enjoyed them. But I don't speak cuss. Dick shit insults mean nothing except insults until you make them say something. I have enjoyed all the books in this series and find Stephanie and her team strong individual characters you remember. Stephanie’s boyfriend Todd and his team (the hooligans) have a main part in this story to breach a Teloran ship for its data on where the rest of the fleet is. They need plenty of help from Morgana (Stephanie’s alter ego) to complete their mission in one piece. I found the first half of this large book a bit heavy going it became a bit repetitive on the training scenario’s. Wow! Absolutely amazing! I am a huge fan of Mr. Anderle's writing, having been sucked into his twisty brain way back in the beginning. This book though, this book, this series, constantly blows my mind. So much happens in this fifth part of the Federal Histories, that I don't have the time or stamina to describe it all. It doesn't get much better than this! I gave this SERIES four stars because it is that damned good! In my 63 years I have only found one series worthy of five stars - The Lord of the Rings. This one came closer to that than any other. The only downside were some minor editing errors. I can't wait to see how this story continues and I hope the author returns to our heroine at some point in the near future. Keep up the good work Michael, I will be looking at your other published works! It doesn't get much better than this! I gave this SERIES four stars because it is that damned good! Wow I say that a lot! Well this was action packed as always. One R&D have a new ship or should I say a HUGE new ship. This is going to be BURT’s new home if everything works out. People are starting to wonder who the Morgana really is. Ok you going to halve to read it to understand what I’m talking about! Already pre-ordered the next one! Y’all better not stop writing about her because the mob will come looking for you!

Fabulous Another fantastic and wonderful story in the Federation Witch series. Why does it have to end. Stephanie and Todd have not made a permanent commitment and then there are the cats Briglius wants one. Can we say trouble. For those over 60 some stores have set up senior days to allow us to be able to get supplies like toilet paper and for those of us who are diabetic Truvia and other non-sugar sweeteners. Thank you and everyone stay safe and stay healthy.

Keeps getting better This is a great series with many unexpected twists and turns. The characters are unique enough to leave me looking forward to the next edition. I'm glad to find that the world created in these books will soon add another series. Looking forward to reading the last book in the series that is already available for pre-order! Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys sci-fi or Urban Fantasy. Keeps getting better This is a great series with many unexpected twists and turns. Too much swearing I enjoy this series, but this book more than any other could be half the length without the constant swearing. It does not add anything to the story, even Stephanie is in a full mouth tantrum , much has changed almost like a new writer took over and needed to count words over content. Get back to the story, I served in the military and never had the need to talk like that. In combat your too focused to try distracting your team to make it about you.

You bring in new twists and some great happy times which worked wonders for me, and kept me turning pages in a frenzy as i had to know what there was next. I love the interplay between the different characters and really hope the final book not only covers the victory battle or whatever but also all the little character subplots. Like Morgana, the AI’s, fixing the world, Miss E, and Tod. There is a lot left to wrap up. I have been really enjoying this series. (Looking back I should say the game one was pretty good too, with the search for a goddesses armor). I would definitely recommend this book.

Another great addition to The Witch's tale! There were some slow spots but they were like the gentle hills of the best rollercoaster as they lead to the biggest peak before twisting through a corkscrew seeking its conclusion.
