My thoughts about this novel: • The author caught my attention right from the beginning and drew me into the story when Blake saw a small bit of smoke while out checking his traps. • The descriptions of locations and emotions were well done, easy to visualize, and to feel. I felt like I was a part of the scenes with Blake, Kris, Tucker, and Mercy. • I liked learning about the secondary characters of the New Forest Glen community as they handled the stresses of survival. Who will be the good guys? There was a smooth, coherent flow to this book. • This story had a satisfying ending and was at a great place to pick up again for installment eight of this series. • This was a clean read and I appreciated that fact. I am looking forward to reading more about the Chantry family and the New Forest Glenn Community. I was given an advance copy of this book. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own. I highly recommend this book.

This is a very short installment, though the editing is good and it generally flows well. I like the addition of young Ryan since he helps to provide some commentary on the Chantrys and the "tribe." The constant anxiety of Blake about his family and his desire to just take them and go it alone is a drip-drip-drip and at times irritating as he is borderline irrational. I get being anxious at the necessary separation for hunting, working etc but he is overly manic about it and is feels almost cont This is a very short installment, though the editing is good and it generally flows well. I was on Butler's side, though, with the vote of the tribe and just when that part got interesting, the book ended. On to book 8.

Grant Us Mercy Installment 7 is nothing like the other books in this series.  This book is about the love and togetherness of a Community in the Apocalypse.  A new member is added and an old member leaves but the core remain the same.  The characters are, as always, the best.  This is one of the most heartfelt books I have read in a long time.  The ending will still leave you in doubt about where the series is going.  This book would make a wonderful family reading.  This one I will keep to read Grant Us Mercy Installment 7 is nothing like the other books in this series. This one I will keep to read again later on. This episode of the Grant Us Mercy series finds the Chantrys and the group living through the winter in their community. The introduction of new people creates community issues as well as personal issues for Blake and Butler. While this episode is not as action-packed as some of the earlier installments, there are several significant events that make this story a must read in the series. I received an Advance Reader Copy and chose to provide this review.

Things get hectic in the community. People become restless and angry. Blake wants to get out of the community to live on his own with his family. The characters are wonderful in this book. You can feel their fears and frustrations. If it wasn't for love holding them together, the anger would explode. Something big is going to happen in installment 8 and i can't wait. I received this book as a gift in exchange for an honest review. Things get hectic in the community. People become restless and angry. Continues to be exciting A well woven series. Characters grow and become even more interesting as we wonder about the paths they are going to take. At this point I don’t see how it can be wrapped up in one more installment but I look forward to finding out!

Another fantastic book Love this series with only one complaint, just not long enough. Always leaves me wanting more. Can't wait to see how the children's gifts develop. Will the small community survive and will things ever return to normal? Another fantastic book Love this series with only one complaint, just not long enough. Always leaves me wanting more.
