*Very* Well Crafted & Worth Reading, Even If It's Outside Your Typically Preferred Genre! I don't tend to read post-apocalyptic/war novels, as I prefer more happy/upbeat/fun topics, but I love paranormal, so I was willing to give this trilogy a shot (please excuse the unintentional gun pun). Mr. Stacey's story telling is fantastic & very engaging. He has managed to create numerous well developed characters that were realistic & believable. I *cared* what happened to the characters & mourned when some died (not the evil ones, though!). As a Military Spouse (of a former/now retired Active Duty Infantry Soldier that was deployed to war - on the ground - more than a few times), I don't want anyone to *ever* have to fight a war. The costs are ALWAYS high, no matter what 'side' you are on. I think that this trilogy of novels shows the possibilities of what might happen if there was a catastrophic event & how humans/human nature can/would react when there's scarcity of resources. It also shows how people can work together & will go above & beyond what is thought to be possible, even when it seems like the odds are against them. This see-saw of human behavior is evident in the current/past wars for the past 80 years & it's well represented here. You can tell that Mr. Stacey has witnessed/experienced the harsh realities of living in a war zone & fighting in a war, as it's very vividly brought to life in his writing. He's managed to develop a wonderful story & interesting characters despite the harsh setting. I would definitely enjoy reading more novels set into this world/universe (& I genuinely hope this isn't a foretelling of what is to come, as I would *not* enjoy living in it), as I believe that there's more stories to be told... especially with the ending being left as it was.

I'm Thinking Michael "Explosion" Bay for the Director... This series totally rocked this genre: hard core. It hit the ground running in book one, and never looked back. I completely loved every single page of action, loyalty, suspense, pain, WTH, triumph, romance, and they're-totally-FUBAR-now moments. It seemed like there was just never a moment to catch my breath in the entire series--there's no such thing as down time when dragons, mages, lamia, vampires, were-animals, and chupacabra are bent on your destruction, I guess. Holy moly. I haven't had a decent night's sleep since I started this book... This author has created a magnificent world with characters so real they will capture your heart and your imagination. Angela Ritter, Tec (The Jaguar Knight), and the Seagrave siblings (who are both amazing soldiers as well as being werewolves) can seem so normal one moment. They're likable, genuine, loyal to a fault, and fun to be around. But each of them has amazing gifts and talents without equal which they use with reckless abandon in what seems like a futile effort to defeat an opponent that cannot be beaten. Along the way they will lose good friends, they'll destroy powerful enemies, and they'll dig to the depths of their souls to save humanity, never giving up. As you may have guessed, this is a violent story about people who fight a terrifying and extremely violent enemy. There are plenty of adult themes and situations within this book, so reader be aware. While this, book three, could possibly read as a stand-alone, it's not advised. Do yourself a favor and start at the beginning of the series with "Source Mage." You'll be glad you did. As for me, I highly recommend this entire series.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ WOW! THE BEST William Stacey has outdone himself on this third book of the “The Awakened World Book 3.” I truly did not think this book “Firestorm” would be as great as it was. Well, kudos to William Stacey, Firestorm is such a nonstop action book that even if you have to put it down for some reason your mind is still thinking about it and trying to figure out how are they going to get out of this mess they are in at the moment. Stacey had the answer. This book has so many twists and turns and ups and downs, I have to say it is one of the best books I’ve ever read. Also, it answered and tied up all the little strings that were left hanging in the first two books. And the ending, oh the ending is so very good. I was totally surprised. I truly loved every book in this series but I think “Firestorm” is the best rock and roll nonstop action I’ve ever read. I love this author and can’t wait for his next book, whatever it may be. Grab this series now and be prepared for nonstop action, weird monsters and even a love story all rolled together in three fantastic books.

(just as the bunkers of project Grendel were. (IE hundreds of feet of water = ten's of feet of rock). More than 1/2 of those subs would have been nuclear powered and more than a dozen would have been equipped with nuclear missiles. (either ICBM or cruise). Their existence would have drastically affected events, and if needed threatened the dragons. IE likely 4-6 would have been under project Grendel direction.

Brilliant, and epic conclusion to a fantastic series. Angie Ritter has discovered what a Source Mage is, and what makes her so much more powerful than any other mage. First, let me say that I love these characters and the world so I was very happy thar he left the ending open for future books featuring them. There are many harrowing ordeals for Angie, The Jaguar Knight, Seagraves and other characters that we’ve come to know throughout the series. Angie discovers more about being a Source Mage and really comes into her own. The author has done it again – he has created another military sci-fi thriller that is spellbinding in its intensity. Bullets, Elven Magic and Dragon Fire! With the death of Quetzalcoatl, the great dragon, all hope to stand against the last of the Dragons has disappeared. Angie the Source Mage, Tec the Jaguar Knight and the Seagrave family of werewolves must fight a running battle in an attempt to get far away from this indestructible monster and her human armies. But they are closing on all fronts. This spectacular battle-filled ending to the trilogy pays off in dividends. Stacey is at the top of his game!

Wow what an awesome ending to this series! Action packed adventure, twisting and turning of plots, unusual conclusions and most exciting character development I have read in a long time. I love the attention to detail in the fight scenes, cultures and fantastical lands we get to meet. I truly hope for a spinoff series after this one. This is a must read series for lovers of total action, adventure, the supernatural and some romance. You will not be disappointed!

Firestorm delivers another action packed adventure in this violent fantasy series by master author William Stacey. If you’ve read the previous books, you know what to expect and you won’t be disappointed. If you haven’t read them, then I’d suggest you start. Contains graphic violence and sexual content. If that isn’t your thing, this isn’t the book for you.

This was a very entertaining and action packed ending to the present series. I am sure Angie and Tec will be back for more adventures. Loved the characters and the woken world of magic. Angie is a super character and so relatable. I like the depth of the supporting characters as well. It makes for a very enjoyable and exciting book. I received this book as an ARC and wished to leave a review.

I have loved every single book in this series, and this one is no exception. It's my favourite so far, because we learn so much about the whole situation and the way people have been manipulated. Amazing world and character building, a ton of suspense, a hint of romance…. I was on the edge of my seat the whole way through! Fantastic read.
