As an artist, it would lead me to want to find and learn more about Giotto, but for the layman, it will once again give you enough. We look at both his life and death. We are on a sight seeing tour of the commissions, styles, and travel by Giotto. We see what circumstances lead to his famous works such as 'The Little Shepherd Boy' or 'Madonna Enthroned'. What was it like to live at the time of Giotto? What other artists were alive a These books give you information. Not comprehensive, but enough.
