This volume is even smaller than normal. Two issues and a one-shot. I'm assuming so they can lead up to a story where something actually happens in issue #25. There are some interesting twists on the Watcher Council hinted at. Seems they aren't as good as you think them to be, all in the name of "the greater good". It does seem heavily influenced by the English Men of Letters story line from Supernatural but whatever. The Faith one-shot added nothing to her story. It was confusing to read and just gives you more of the same, that the Watcher Council has been messing with her. Still this gets minus stars for more wheel-spinning. You can't just have stories go absolutely nowhere for issues at a time because you want to hold everything off for an anniversary issue. How about just introducing some smaller stories that are wrapped up in-between like every other comic out there? It's time for a change in creative teams on this book.

When the title character speaks on only 9 out of 112 pages, can't we get up a class action suit for false advertising or even outright fraud? When the title character speaks on only 9 out of 112 pages, can't we get up a class action suit for false advertising or even outright fraud?

Okay, now we're getting somewhere. Buffy seems to have been kind of spinning its wheels since Hellmouth ended, but these three issues go a long way toward pointing where we're headed next. And it's a doozy. Without going into spoiler territory, this isn't a story that would have worked in the original TV show, or even in the original comics, but it's one that is absolute comic bullshit and I love it. The Faith one-shot is especially powerful, digging right into her new comic origins and showing us just what dicks the Watchers' Council can really be. There's still some work to be done, but we seem to be on an upward swing, which is exactly what we needed after however many issues of everyone being sad about Xander.

This title is still slogging along, giving just enough to not be bad, but far from good. The ideas are interesting, but nothing feels fleshed out enough to really care about. Things are happening, and I’m along for the ride, but these characters aren’t real to me. The Faith issue had a lot of potential and good character moments, but I learned nothing new about Faith herself. If anything, I’m just more confused about her situation. And at this rate, I don’t trust the series to pay anything off i This title is still slogging along, giving just enough to not be bad, but far from good. I honestly just hope one day we’ll get to return to the original continuity, but with more fleshed out and competent plots. 3/5 stars

I've been reading these as single-issues, so I'm a but more current in knowing how things play out here. (Don't worry, no spoilers!!) I keep feeling as though I'm missing issues? Why do the descriptions of each issue/volume explain more of the story than reading the actual story?? why does the quality continue to decline from the amazing first few volumes. argh, frustrating. Tbh if there wasn't a promise of buffyverses colapsing in volume 7, I would have probably stopped reading with this one. It's sad because I like the ideas, I like the storyline, and I like the art. But the feelings are not there. I am simply not really invested in those characters... Which is very weird because I've been VERY invested in them for 15 years. There is something missing here (yet again, humor could be one of the answers). I’m just…. Confused. There’s way too much going on in this series. The reimagining idea was nice, but I think they got ahead of themselves. It feels like they’re rushing into things too much. Sometimes it’s good to slow it down.

I really liked volume 6 - my favorite out of all volumes so far! It’s a great look into the different slayers, particularly Faith! I really enjoyed the story with Anya too!
