I really loved the characters, they made me happy and I loved getting to see Celaena again and Sam and Yrene before the Yrene we know now. Each of the stories ends up becoming more and this book was just definitely needed. Throne of Glass: 4.85/5 stars Every time I read this one, I'm always more of a Dorian fan than a Chaol fan. Before knowing who Celaena actually is, I always thought that she would make a great queen and that her and Dorian would have been great together and would have the relationship that I had always wanted for myself where both were avid readers that could talk about books all the time. The competition was always something that I enjoyed reading and it was great to come back to it. Crown of Midnight: 4.8/5 stars This book I guess has always been my least favorite of them all just because of the fact that I was never a huge Chaol fan. I was okay with the fact that Celaena chose Chaol out of him and Dorian, though. I loved getting to see more of what happened in the castle and I loves watching the relationships build when I reread this book and I just really loved rereading the series. Heir of Fire: 4.9/5 stars I really really loved meeting Manon and Aelin who are probably tied for favorite characters in this series, if not ever. I just loved Abraxos and the wyverns and seeing how the Ironteeth witches worked, but still watching Celaena accept who she is and building a relationship with Rowan, and still getting to see what happens at the castle with Dorain and Chaol and Aedion. Queen of Shadows: 5/5 stars Queen of Shadows has always been my favorite because of all of the things that happen. Manon and Elide and also Manon and Dorian, but then also everything happening with Aelin and her court including saving Aedion but then reuniting with Rowan and Lysandra and just the more relationships that happened and grew between characters that weren't necessarily romantic. Empire of Storms: 5/5 stars I loved Empire of Storms so much because of the fact that Aelin was kicking ass and so much was happening and it was just magnificent and I couldn't get enough of it. This book ended up making me cry so much because of everything that happened and it was just so great. Tower of Dawn: 4.68/5 stars I was conflicted about reading Tower of Dawn just because Chaol was not my favorite character and I didn't want to read a whole book about him, but I enjoyed it so much more than I originally expected too and he grew on me. I loved getting to experience a new part of the world and meet new characters. Kingdom of Ash: 4.96/5 stars This book was so good. Everything came together, it made my cry and laugh and I just couldn't get enough of it. It was just what I needed and I finished it so much faster than I was expecting to, but it was just so good. The only reason it didn't get a 5/5 stars was because I left still wanted a little bit more in the ending because I figured we would get a little more of the characters after the war was over, but it was really good regardless. Main Characters: Celaena Sardothian/Aelin Ashryver Galathynius is the main character that the story is revolved around and I love her with all my heart. She inspires me so much and her strength has encouraged me to do things that I never thought that I would have been able to do. Dorian Havilliard is a man that quickly stole my heart with his charm, but then his love for books just killed me. He is so amazing and his growth throughout the series was just something that I couldn't get enough of. Especially when he is getting close to a certain golden-eyed witch. Chaol Westfall was not my favorite character, but he was still a good man and he did everything that he could to protect Dorian and all that he did was because of his brotherly love for Dorian and so I have quite a bit of respect for him, regardless of how much I like him. Rowan Whitethorn is just one of those characters that just made my heart happy with the love that he had shown Aelin when they were together and the dedication and care that he had for her in Kingdom of Ash just made me so happy. He loved all of Aelin and not just certain parts of her and it was just an amazing relationship to watch unfold. Manon Blackbeak is one of my favorite characters ever, she is just so badass and I couldn't get enough of her character growth, I just love her so much. Lysandra was good for Aelin and just a good character in general. She was a great friend to Aelin and was willing to do so much to help her friend and I think that that is what counts in their relationship. Aedion Ashryver was kind of an asshole, but I did enjoy his character. You could definitely tell how much he cares for the ones he loves as well as his soldiers and he was smarter than people gave him credit for. Yrene was just a lovely character to read about, I love her so much, and the fact that she was pregnant and still could kick ass, was just amazing. Nesryn deserved so much more and I'm really glad that she found it with Sartaq. Elide was such a strong character that was just so fun to read about. She was so smart and she cared so much, and she deserved so much more. Lorcan was kind of a big asshole, but I do like him with Elide. Other Characters: Sam Cortland deserved so much better. Arobynn Hamel deserved so much worse. Kaltain Rompier deserved so much more than what she was given, but she was detrimental to the story. Nehemia Ytger was not my favorite, I really didn't care for her. I understood why she did what she did, but she still wasn't my favorite. Fleetfoot brought me so much joy, I love her so so much. Asterin has been through so much and I'm glad that she finally got to avenge her baby. The Thirteen was such an amazing group of witches and I loved them all so much, I cried to so hard when they Yielded. Abraxos is like a dog and I love him so much, I really really want an Abraxos. Maeve was the worst, I hated her more than I did Erawan. Erawan was such a smart being to be able to come up with all that he did, but he was so so twisted and I hate him. Mother Blackbeak is just a monster and I despise her, she deserved everything that came to her in the end. King of Adarlan really wasn't that bad of a guy once you got the Vlag out of him. He really did care for Dorian and what he did with the Key just made me cry. Fenrys was like a puppy and I love him so much. I want one. I love how he was there for Aelin in Kingdom of Ash. Gavriel was such a great character and I loved them. Other characters made me happy like Sartaq and Hasar and Kashin and Renia and so many others. This seried just had so many great characters. Rolfe and Ansel and so many others where great and I just enjoyed all the characters so much. Favorite Scenes: -fight scene between Aelin and Manon -Aelin's coronation scene -the Thirteen's yielding scene -Dorian and Aelin geeking out about books -Dorian giving Aelin Fleetfoot -Rowan and Aelin reunion scene in QoS -When Lysandra is a Sea Dragon and Aedion tells her that they are going be married one day -Manon saving Petrah -Manon turning against her grandmother -when Manon learns about Asterin's past - when Chaol, Dorian and Aelin say goodbye at the end of KoA -Whenever Aelin just shows up in Chaol's chapters in QoS -whenever Aelin's plans become unraveled -Manon asking Dorian to marry her -Yrene killing Erawan -Dorian tricking Maeve -Evangeline and Darrow scene -when Rolfe finds out that Celaena is Aelin -when Aelin is pounding on the box -Aelin getting out of the box and the scene with getting out of the chains -when Dorian and Aelin are dancing -the ending scene of QoS with the glass castle shatters -the whole Key scene SO many more Favorite Quotes: -"You could rattle the stars. You could do anything, if only you dare." -"You do not yield" -"I am Sam Cortland, and I will not be afraid." -"Where's my wife." -"Libraries were full of ideas--perhaps the most dangerous and powerful of all weapons. -“My name is Celaena Sardothien. But it makes no difference if my name's Celaena or Lillian or Bitch, because I'd still beat you, no matter what you call me.” -“I like music," she said slowly, "because when I hear it, I . . . I lose myself within myself, if that makes any sense. I become empty and full all at once, and I can feel the whole earth roiling around me. When I play. I'm not . . . for once, I'm not destroying, I'm creating.” -“We each survive in our own way.” -“The best lies were always mixed with truth.” -“Then Celaena and the King of Adarlan smiled at each other, and it was the most terrifying thing Dorian had ever seen.” -“She was the heir of ash and fire, and she would bow to no one.” -“You cannot pick and choose what parts of her to love." -“I claim you, Aelin. To whatever end.” -“You didn't need a weapon at all when you were born one.” -“You make me want to live, Rowan. Not survive; not exist. Live.” -“She looked at them, at the three males who meant everything—more than everything. Then she smiled with every last shred of courage, of desperation, of hope for the glimmer of that glorious future. “Let’s go rattle the stars.” -“If you're a monster, I'm a monster.” -"To a better world." -“Aelin Galathynius had raised an army not just to challenge Morath, but to rattle the stars.” -“You know, you ladies can let us males do things every now and then.” -“He’d almost told the princess that she could keep Hellas’s Horse, but there was something to be said about the prospect of charging down Morath foot soldiers atop a horse named Butterfly.” -“Rowan beheld all Aelin was and is, and he was not afraid." -“Once upon a time, in a land long since burned to ash, there lived a young princess who loved her kingdom …” -“I am here, I am wish you.” -“Live, Manon. Live.” SO many more Overall, I love this series so much. I need more of this world.

There are no regrets here. Arguably my absolute favorite book series, and that throws Harry Potter to #2 on the list (<--that is not a title I strip down lightly from its throne). You will love the characters. You will love the plots. You will love the twists. And you will love the joy, anger, sadness, and absolute heartbreak this series brings to the table.

I debated whether to buy this series but it was a good buy so I figured why not try it. I'm thrilled I did! I don’t think I’ve ever read anything so expertly woven in my whole life. Not since Harry Potter have I read any series that left me so beyond words just from the sheer thought put into the plot. There were endless characters and places but I never once felt lost or confused. It was truly glorious. Maas has found a fan for life. I will say that the first book is a mite but slow BUT if you can get past that then hold onto your Aesterion horses because this book will blow your braids out. For everyone out there who ever wondered whether or not Throne of Glass is worth the read... YES! GO READ THIS MASTERPIECE! Throne of Glass is AMAZING! Get your heart broken? Want to tip your hair out? Cry? Have the urge to chuck you book to a wall? ABSOLUTELY But you will also fall in love. You will laugh until the tears are, yet again, streaming down your cheeks. You will find something to charish in almost every character you meet! You will be sitting on the edge of your seat during the high action packed scene while you'ill be swooning during the romantic ones! You might learn that your scars are not something to be ashamed of but something to be proud of, at least I did. You might learn that even in the darkest days a little light can be found ❤ This series stold my heart and put a broken woman back together, I can only hope it will do the same for someone else who needs it! If you don't know where to start: Throne of Glass is set as book 1 in this series. The Assasin's Blade is a prequel with short stories that takes place BEFORE Throne of Glass. You can either read it before this first book or you can read it after the third book, Heir of Fire. It has to be read diving into Queen of Shadows! It contains information that you will need in the rest of the series! 😉 I would suggest reading it beforz Throne of Glass, it gave me a better connection with the main character and made me understand her waaaaaay better! But it's completely up to you! If you get to Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn I would suggest reading these two in tandem! Not really necessary but you might want to seeing that both books take place at the same time but follow different characters. It might be hard to read one after the other, especially if you don't handle cliffhangers very well 😅 Enjoy! 🥰

FAVORITE OF ALL TIME. "You could rattle the stars," she whispered. "You could do anything, if only you dared. And deep down, you know it, too. That’s what scares you most." — Sarah J. Maas (Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1)) If someone asks me to name my favorite book or series, this comes out of my before any other book can even come to my mind. "Why are you crying?" "Because," she whispered, her voice shaking, "you remind me of what the world ought to be. What the world can be." — Sarah J. Maas FAVORITE OF ALL TIME. "You could rattle the stars," she whispered. "Because," she whispered, her voice shaking, "you remind me of what the world ought to be. What the world can be." — Sarah J. Maas (Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass, #2)) It's a fantasy series filled with plot twists, love, the best of friendships and second chances. It's a series filled with magic, murder, hope, a world-altering story that will capture your heart, break it into pieces and then mend it back together. It's a series filled with pure poetry and the greatest love stories that I have ever read or will ever read. "Because I am lost," she whispered onto the earth. "And I do not know the way." — Sarah J. Maas (Heir of Fire (Throne of Glass, #3)) Once you read this series, be prepared, because nothing you read after this will ever compare. I dont say that this is my favorite series of all time easily. I actually wouldn't say there's anything else that I've read so far or will read that will ever compare to this. This isn't just a series or a book. This is a work of pure art. I can't even put into words how amazing this series is. I dont think anyone can ever do this series justice. "They joined hands. So the world ended. And the next one began." — Sarah J. Maas (Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass, #4)) In fact, while you're here, read the rest of her books. They're all filled with pure... pure... everything. It's everything. "Even when this world is a forgotten whisper of dust between the stars, I will always love you." — Sarah J. Maas (Empire of Storms (Throne of Glass, #5)) I'm not exaggerating when I say that I can't express how amazing this is. I've recommended this series to my entire family, all my friends, even some strangers I've met at the store and library. I will recommend this series, hell this author for the rest of my life. She is so good, all of her books have their very own shelf in my home library. She's so good, she's surpassed my other favorite author, J.K. Rowling and if you knew me, you'd know that it breaks my heart to say that because Rowling started my love of reading but Mass has breathed life into it and kept it going. That's what it is. That's what it will always be. "It was agony and despair and fear. It was joy and laughter and rest. It was life, all of it..." — Sarah J. Maas (Tower of Dawn (Throne of Glass, #6)) Read it. Please. Read it and if you dont like it, I'll... do something because that's how much faith I have that you'll love it just as much as I did. Hell, if you love it half as much as I did, it will still rock your world. Read it. Please. You wont regret it. "Once upon a time, in a land long since burned to ash, there lived a young princess who loved her kingdom …" — Sarah J. Maas (Kingdom of Ash (Throne of Glass, #7)) And once you read it, please reach out and tell me how you liked it. I'd love to know if this series is the world-altering phenomenon that I believe it to be. 4.5 stars. Couldn’t put the last book down, loved the series. I’ll admit, I was not impressed with the first book, Assassin’s Blade, at all. Thought it was simple and contrived, and didn’t like the main character. But the genius of Maas is the writing developed along with the character, she grew and became more heroic and the plot became more complex and interesting. And as the characters were added, the tension grew and the lives wove together tighter and tighter. And talk about strong females! 4.5 stars. Couldn’t put the last book down, loved the series. Now I want to go back and read those first ones again, I know I missed things. So glad I kept reading! Note: this is a YA series and rated as such. Plot and writing style are not refined. Somewhere between Harry Potter and LOTR, and not in the same league as either of them. But I loved it anyway

OMG I LOVE IT SO MUCH. You instantly fall in love with the characters and the way you feel you follow the protagonist throughout her journey is amazing. She is literally a different person by the end of the series. And I have never felt such hate towards a person (Chaol Westfall) that is fictional in a while. Oh my, 4 and 5 were good books. Other than that, wow. I kept waiting...for the author to understand her own characters!!! From a cousin that was fully devoted to main character treated like feces the entire series, and huge lead ups, just abruptly ended with lack luster. All the hook ups. Everyone gets paired. Cheesy. It's crazy, I connected with Manon and Abraxos the most Lol!!! They were powerful. Won't go back to this author, too fustrating. Oh my, 4 and 5 were good books. Other than that, wow. Absolutely amazing! I started of not liking Celaena, but came to respect her as the stories developed and I am loving the wonderful world she lives in and the adventures she has. I love several characters more than her, but I won't spoil anything. This is definitely a must read if you love young adult, fantasy, magic and more! Absolutely amazing! I was slow to read this series, and if the bundle hadn't gone on sale it would still be on my TBR. That being said, it was amazing. I will say though, I did not read Assassin's Blade or Tower of Dawn. If I could go back, I would read Assassin's Blade first. When I started this series I was unaware of how it could be read. The bundle starts with TOG so that is how I started the series. The bundle goes from one book to the next, and though you can jump around while using the table of contents, I just went with the flow. I didn't go back to read Assassin's Blade only because I had finished the series and didn't want to go back to the beginning. I omitted TOD simply because I could not get into it and after the cliffhanger in EOS, I was just eager to get back to Aelin's story. I'm not encouraging the skipping of TOD, but if you find that you can't get into it either, then go find reviews and make sure you read a summary as there are MAJOR plot points you will need to know before going into the last book. When I eventually re-read this series, I will read Assassin's blade first and try to finish TOD. There is not much I can say that any other review hasn't said yet. I was fully into this series and did not want to put it down. It had some of the most heart wrenching scenes I have ever read in books, and some of the most heart touching as well. But...when the series was over I felt that I wanted more time spent with each of the relationships. The series is so fast paced and there is so much going on that there really isn't any time to just enjoy the couples. I wish there was more focus on each of the couples (specifically Rowan/Aelin and Dorian/Manon). Speaking of the couples, we only get definitive endings for a few of them. Some of them, like Dorian and Manon, we are left with an open ending and we don't know what happens with them. Overall this is a great series and I am glad I finally read it. I started my SJM journey with ACOTAR and fell in love with her characters; TOG is no different.

Absolutely amazing. Probably the best book series I have ever read. Full of everything that you need in an enthralling, gripping, edge of your seat series. Has action, adventure, romance, comedy, suspense, some darkness. Just everything you could ask for. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time and couldn’t put the books down. Read these books, you won’t regret it.

an epic journey in fantasy. This is a complete series and absolutely worth every second of it. It has twists and turns. Well plotted and written. Lots of different character’s prospectives. The main character is complex and heroic to her core. The bad guys are awful and the good guys are flawed but stalwart. Not a lot of sex scenes. It is absolutely gripping from the beginning chapter. I highly recommend this series and I will be reading everything this author writes from now on.

Throne of Glass offers a cast of complex characters in a unique, magical world. No one is ever truly good or evil and watching their stories interconnect as they move between the two will capture your interest. With 8 books, this series give you a chance to really dig in to these characters and their world. Plenty of romance. Enemies-to-lovers. Fate. Destiny. Putting what's good for others above yourself. Incredible Series This whole series was absolutely incredible.. Sarah J. Maas is a master story teller that leaves you gripped by her books. She pays so much attention to detail that it’s easy to visualize every person and every scene and the characters just build and build as you get deeper and deeper in. She creates worlds that you want to be a part of and characters that you fall in love with. You won’t regret reading this series or anything else she writes.

Amazing This series takes you on a ride, in the best way possible. The first 3 books are a little hard to get through , but once you get to Heir of Fire it's all consuming. There are different opinions on the order to read it, here's how I did it: Throne of Glass Crown of Midnight Assassin's Blade Heir of Fire Queen of Shadows Empire of Storms AND Tower of Dawn (tandem read, there are charts on how everywhere) finally, Kingdom of Ash Amazing This series takes you on a ride, in the best way possible. I loved the characters and the way the plot went. It became a bit annoying the way the protagonist is so self sacrificing to the point where many issues could have been avoided had she simply communicated with her friends. That being said I love a good fae filled story. The magical characters were fantastic, the settings were immersive. Would recommend! I enjoyed them and stayed up late reading to see what happens. Also the subtle nod to ACOTAR was *chef kiss*

Epic… It was an absolute privilege to be able to read this series all in one. Such an epic tale filled with everything any great fantasy should hold. I loved everything about it, and cannot recommend it highly enough…I don’t have the words. But, if you love fantasy epic adventure, eternal love, and life long friendship, do yourself a favour and read this series.

I still need to read “Assassins Blade” but I really enjoyed the other books in this series so I’d rate the whole series a 4.5/5. It had everything; adventure, romance, magic, bad ass female lead(s), hot male leads, witches, wyverns, evil kings, war, secrets, etc. It kept me coming back for more and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the next book!

Unbelievably amazing Wow, what a series. So full of action, well developed characters and some great humor. This is a fantastic series. At times these books will break your heart and then fill you with hope for the human spirit. Loved every minute of this read.

Loved this entire series!!! These were not my typical read, but SJM kept my interest throughout all of the series so that I just kept on going. I had to know what would happen in the end. Highly recommend!

So good! It’s hard to sum up my thoughts and feelings about this whole series in one comment, but let’s just say it was good and leave it at that!
