Although not one of the original 12 apostles, Paul was an essential leader of the early Church. I'd always wondered how Paul had time to write so many letters to different groups and regions of the Church, and this book explains how he had the time. Paul traveled alone much of the time. A well written summary of the life and ministry of the Apostle Paul. Born in Tarsus, Saul was a Jew who became a pharisee and who persecuted the Christian who were springing up everywhere. Good narrative in a concise description of an early Christian time. There is a good room for more details about Paul life especially about his conversion and epistles. What's about his relationship with Peter the first pope? Good brief and concise biography of a Roman citizen and former Pharisee. This is a good account of an incredible life. Hmmmm Some interesting points made, but often the author “softens” the definite by using terms like “alleged”. This seems to be the writing of a skeptic. Also it states that Paul in one instance switched from Greek to Hebrew, when in Scripture it states clearly he switched from Greek to Aramaic. These inaccuracies calls into question the entire writing research.

Paul's gospel It could be said that there has always been resistance to the Christian teachings. Some people feel threatened by the message of the scriptures. Paul certainly encountered much resistance to his messages. A good introduction to the life of the apostle Paul. Well worth the time to read this biography. An excellent essay of the man who contributed greatly to the spreading of the Christian faith in the Mediterranean Sea area. The essay highlights Paul's Christian conversion and the struggles and dangers he had in spreading his faith to others.
