This is a cute book of Sniffer and his adventures at the zoo. Sniffer should have listened to his mother. The illustrations are really well done, very colorful. The book is full of adventure and areas to talk with your child about what each scene is. I think this is a great book for children. I cannot wait to read it to my new grandson. Fabulous book. Sniffer (little dog) uses his sniffing skills. He wasn’t allowed to run around the neighborhood loose. Sniffer isn’t sure what that horrible smell is. Sniffer came to a fence that had a hole in it, he was gone. At the zoo Sniffer came across a guy feeding the penguin’s smelly dead fish. He jumped over another fence, whoops, what did he encounter? What zoo animals did Sniffer meet next? I do not receive any type of compensation for reading & reviewing free books from publishers & authors. Therefore, I am under no obligation to write a positive review, only an honest one. An awesome book cover, great hand-drawn colored pictures, charming illustrations & proper font & writing style. A very professionally written children’s (preschool/elementary age) Sniffer (little dog) storybook. It was quite easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters, settings, etc. to keep track of. This could also make another great children’s educational presentation (zoo visit), movie, an animated cartoon, or better yet a mini-TV series. There is no doubt in my mind this is an extremely easy rating of 5 stars. Thank you for the free author; Uncle Amon Books; BookCaveTeam; Amazon Digital Services LLC. Sniffer, The Curious Dog This is a cute story about Sniffer, the curious dog. He can't help but be curious about a new stinky smell and gets out of his yard to investigate. As his adventure continues, he meets up with animals at the zoo, like penguins, a lion, and hyenas. He also has an encounter with a skunk that sprays him; he's discovered the source of the awful smell and now has it himself! He also has an encounter with a skunk that sprays him; he's discovered the source of the awful smell and now has it himself! At the bottom of some pages, the author adds a little interactivity, like asking the child to figure out what's in the barrel on one page or asking him or her to find Sniffer when he is hiding below a giraffe. The book has fun, colorful illustrations, but they don't take up the entire page. Each page has text at the top with a rectangular illustration with fade-out borders below. I would have loved to have seen full-page illustrations. The author appears to be British or Australian, as she uses an exclamation (Cor!) I'm not familiar with. But at least the book didn't seem to have language errors, as I see too often in books written by Americans as well as other native English speakers like Australians and British people. If your child likes dogs or he or she doesn't quite always understand the consequences of curiosity, this book may be a good fit for her or him. In general, the artwork is great, and the story is fine but I think the use of "Cor" should be avoided, as it can be seen as a bit crude by some, plus is region-specific so may not be understood by all readers. Suggest something like "Oh, dear!" instead. The elephant tossing Sniffer into the tree is a bit violent so perhaps he can be tossed into a pile of hay instead, while still needing to be rescued by the elephant's keeper. And perhaps the ending can be extended to include a bath for poor Sni In general, the artwork is great, and the story is fine but I think the use of "Cor" should be avoided, as it can be seen as a bit crude by some, plus is region-specific so may not be understood by all readers. And perhaps the ending can be extended to include a bath for poor Sniffer, the stinky pooch? Overall, I think young readers (or even pre-readers) will enjoy the story and the artwork. Sniffer is at it again! Will he ever learn? My 2nd grade daughter seems to think he learned his lesson with the trouble he got into this time at the zoo, but I have my doubts! It's always so much fun to follow Sniffer's adventures and see what kind of mishaps he can find in the midst of these "good" smells he follows! His mom tries to teach him, but time and time again, he sneaks out and finds new trouble! So much fun to read! Sniffer is at it again! Will he ever learn? This book a puppy let’s his nose and curiosity get the better of him. When he goes to the zoo which is new to him. Each page shows just a little of something and that allows your child to guess. Like it showed a skunks nose sticking out of a trash can Sniffer smelled it and it ask “Fo you know what Sniffer smells” Neat little book. And the e were words aren’t that hard so a merging reader could read this. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Sniffer is quite a curious dog and the thing he likes most is going sniffing. However this time, sniffing is going to take him on a scary adventure. Poor thing! I should take pity on him, but it serves him right for getting out alone. He made me laugh because of how silly he was. Sniffer is a lovely dog, curios, eager to have wonderful adventures. Sometimes Sniffer is in trouble because of his curiosity, but he couldn't resist to not sniff, sniff, sniff around. This time he finds a Zoo, wow.. such a big interesting place. Nice cover and pics for this new Sniffer book, simple and good for children reading, well done! Sniffer Thought this would be a good book for discussions about not listening and ramifications for not listening. Children could relate it to themselves and a time when they didn’t listen.

In this illustrated story Sniffer the curious dog follows a smell and goes sniffing to the zoo. He meets all sort of animals in the zoo and children learn a lot of things following this story. I received a free ARC copy of this book but that did not affect my review in any way.
