ARC received for review 3.5 stars I like this one better than the previous book. Cam sees Brooks dirty and hurt. She cleans him, and that's what saved him. Even through the haze of drugs he realizes that there is someone who cares. She helps him escape, and then joins him on the road to find the bad guys. The previous couples help out, along with the last two brothers. I didn't really like the drama with her nephew and mom. It kinda felt forced at times. Her writing seems to get better and better each time ❤️. The story was non-stop action right out of the gate and the chemistry between Brooks and Camryn was super hot! I really liked Brooks. I think it was because he was in the vulnerable position at the beginning and there was no posturing at all, just maybe a little of the "I'm no good for her" going on at first. Camryn is a super giving person who is a balm for the storm going on inside Brooks. We also get a little more insight into Cole in the book as well. I'm hoping he's next... maybe with that hot detective 🤞🏻? Anywho, lol... great read and I'm really looking forward to the next book!

I particularly liked how the male character was shown to be vulnerable, it gladdened my heart and I absolutely love our heroine Cam. I'm definitely going to be reading books 1 and 2 and can't wait to read more about Cole and Dallas in the next book (if there'll be any) Many thanks to NetGalley for my copy!

Jumping into a series several books in wasn't my brightest idea, but I have to say - I am so glad I picked up this book! I loved the action, the suspense, the obvious chemistry between the main characters. It was easy to be sucked in to the drama and become totally invested in the characters. Having never read this author before, I was unsure what to expect, although the reviews of the previous books all gave me a good indicator that she is a great writer. They were absolutely right. Having never read this author before, I was unsure what to expect, although the reviews of the previous books all gave me a good indicator that she is a great writer. They were absolutely right. The suspense kept me on the edge of my seat without drawing things out too much - just enough of a taste of not knowing what will happen next to keep me reading well into the night. It has a taste of the paranormal, though more towards science fiction since it's all focused on medical experiments creating "super soldiers." While our hero isn't a soldier, the hope is that he could become one, if only he can be controlled. Which he can't be. Sounds intriguing? Keep on reading. Brooks Ivanov doesn't remember how he got to be imprisoned in a mad scientist's facility, but he knows for certain he wants out, whether it's through escape or death. He knows his name but nothing more. Each day they inject him with a substance that makes him mindless with rage and strength beyond imagining, forcing him to kill anyone in his path, and he fears soon there will be no coming back from what he has done. All hope seems to be lost until a new nurse arrives in his room. Camryn Bayfield has been in hiding for only two weeks when she takes a new job as a nurse and finds herself in an underground facility treating patients chained to their beds. Told they are mentally insane, she still has doubts when she sees the condition they are in. When Brooks wakes up and begins to fuel her doubts as to what kind of facility she has joined, she begins to investigate - and is horrified by what she finds. Soon she and Brooks hatch a plan to escape, but as they are forced into close quarters to stay safe, things begin to heat up. With Camryn having her own problems to deal with, adding in Brooks is making things...problematic. When their two worlds collide, it will take a miracle for them both to make it out alive. As I mentioned, I jumped in without having read the previous books. A bad habit of mine. However, I found I was still able to dive into the story and enjoy the drama and the characters. Brooks was not the soldier he was trying to be made into, and it pained him each time he took a life. I felt so bad for him as the reader watches him desperately try to escape the future laid out before him. He has become addicted to the drug they're injecting him with, and while he wants to get away from it, he knows the withdrawal could kill him. When he meets Camryn, he sees an angel, someone who can be his salvation. But gaining her trust was just half the battle. Now it's making sure he doesn't hurt her in the process. Poor Camryn has had a hard time of it recently, having escaped being killed by her own nephew and separated from her mother while they're hiding from him. She has enough to deal with without adding in Brooks' drama as well. Camryn is a nurse though, and she can't leave someone in pain without trying to help him. Not to mention she feels a connection to him, one that transcends the bond between nurse and patient. Their romance is steamy, but the heart behind it is what captured me from the beginning. Brooks was hard yet soft, showing Camryn a vulnerability I could really appreciate. They were each other's heroes. I love that. Looking forward to going back now and reading the previous books! And of course continuing with the series wherever it takes us next. **I received a free copy via NetGalley and this is my honest review.**

❤️❤️❤️❤️ 💋💋 I came into this series at book 2, so a little late to be precise, and I wasn’t convinced I’d follow the storyline, but I have, and book 3 is wonderful and a great, entertaining read. It’s full of drama and intrigue, has brilliant characters some old , some new. It also has a few twists and is totally mind consuming, which for me is great. A Great, four star read. I received an Arc copy of this book and chose to post this review

UNCHAINED is the third instalment in Samantha Wilde’s contemporary, adult BLOOD BROTHERS romantic suspense series. This is RN Camryn Bayfield, and Brooks Ivanov’s story line. UNCHAINED can be read as a stand alone but for back story and cohesion I recommend reading book one BOUND. Brooks is Alexis ‘Lexi’ Ivanov’s brother (BOUND). NOTE: UNCHAINED focuses on human medical experiments, and therefore there is a slight sci-fi aspect to the story line. WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers. Told from dual third person perspectives (Cam and Brooks) UNCHAINED follows months after the disappearance of Alexis Ivanov’s brother Brooks. Camryn Bayfield is a new hire at a rehabilitation clinic but from the outset Camryn is suspicious about the treatment and descriptions of many of its’ patients. On her first night, Camryn comes faces to face with a beaten and bruised man named Brooks, who claims the rehab centre is nothing more than a front for human experimentation. Against her better judgement, Camryn releases our hero, and finds herself on the run in an effort to protect the man with whom she is falling in love. Enter Brooks Ivanov. What ensues is the building relationship between Brooks and Cam, and the fall-out as both of their past have targeted our couple as a means to an end. Brooks Ivanov has very little memory beyond the previous few months having survived abuse and a series of experiments meant to turn him into a killing machine. With each subsequent injection, Brooks becomes more animal than human, and in this he is the perfect foil for a mad man determined to control his little part of the world. Camryn Bayfield is a nurse, hiding in plain sight, on the run from a dangerous past. Suspecting everything about her new job was a lie, Camryn risked her own life to save the life of a man she knew nothing about. On the run, once again, Camryn and Brooks struggle to stay one step ahead of the people demanding the return of our story line hero. The relationship between Camryn and Brooks is one of immediate attraction but Brooks is in no condition to look after himself. Beaten, abused and drugged, Brooks needs time to heal but getting them to safety the first in a long list of getting revenge. The $ex scenes are passionate and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text. We are reintroduced to Dash and Alexis (Bound 1), Dare and Tessa (Traced 2), Cole Holmes and Camryn’s mother Linda. The requisite evil has many faces. UNCHAINED is a story of betrayal, revenge, power and control; illegal human bondage and experiments, family, friendships, relationships and love. The premise is heart breaking, tragic ,haunting and raw; the romance is spirited and provocative; the characters are edgy, determined and intense. www.thereadingcafe.com

I'd like to thank Samantha Wilde for providing me with an ARC of this novel. I am leaving this review honestly and willingly 4.5 Stars! (Honestly though, I should give it 5 stars just for the cover. THE COVER!) Unchained is the story of Brooks Ivanov, brother of Lexi Ivanov, the protagonist from the first book in this series, Bound . Brooks was said to be missing in the entirety of the first and second books, and to be honest, I really thought he was killed. So imagine my surprise when I found out that Brooks is alive, kicking and is getting a book of his own! I felt that Brooks and Cam's story had a slightly different tone than the first and second book, which makes sense because he isn't one of the Holmes brothers. Truthfully, I was thinking that Brooks would not live up to the standards that Nash and Dare Holmes set for us in the previous books, but I was very wrong! Brooks was every inch just as loving, protective, irresistible and swoon-worthy, if not more. I love how this time around, the female protagonist played a huge hand in rescuing the hero, setting into motion the subsequent major events of the story. I love how sweet Brooks and Cam's story was, right from the beginning, even though their circumstances were far from sweet. I could connect to Brooks and Camryn both immediately, which is an improvement from the previous two novels (which took me a couple chapters before I could fully get into the protagonists' shoes). Story, pacing, characterization and every other aspect of this novel was very much a typical Samantha Wilde story - full of riveting, edge-of-the-seat moments that will make it impossible for you to put down the book once you are sucked into it. In my opinion, this is definitely my favorite book of the series so far (I know, I know, I said the same thing for Traced, but what can I do when the author keeps getting better and better?). I loved seeing Dare and Tess, Lexi and Nash have a good amount of screen-time in this one. I thought they would be mentioned a few times here and there, but I was pleasantly surprised (and very satisfied) to see the Holmes brothers back in action! @SamanthaWilde, I NEED TO SEE A HOLMES/IVANOV BABY IN THE NEXT NOVEL, PLEASE! In conclusion, Unchained is a sexy, thrilling and absolutely fantastic romantic thriller from the very talented Samantha Wilde. All the best to you, Samantha! P.S. Please tell me the next book is about Cole? It HAS to be, right? No?

Frankly, I don't think it particularly mattered as previous characters were referenced and/or appeared late in the book, but their impact on the story was minimal. I was REALLY into the beginning of the book. I loved Camryn's turmoil with the medical ethics of the situation she found herself in. Brooks' questionable mental and physical status made the interactions between him and Cam a little suspenseful. I liked that the author didn't shy away depicting Brooks' breakout attempts (which were in reality would be very graphic scenes) realistically. Camryn and Brooks' run from their respective pursuers was gripping: I LOVE cat-and-mouse hunts, and the sexual tension was humming right along too. The first two thirds were really good but the last third was a bit of a letdown. I thought both main characters made some, well, downright dumb decisions. Their, uh, party of helpers (don't wish to spoil) were also surprisingly inept. Oh geez, I don't think there's any way to say this without spoiling. Ok. THIS IS A SPOILER! (view spoiler)[ I thought these guys were some sort of bad-ass commandos or something, the way they were planning their big assassination strike, and then to get handed their asses repeatedly by a balding middle-aged DOCTOR and a bunch of rented guards?! SERIOUSLY? And then Camryn says "she wants to handle things alone" and they just AGREE and hand her a gun and say "don't make me regret this"?????????????? ARE YOU SERIOUS. (hide spoiler)] OK. Wooo-sa. Wooo-saaaaaah. I guess I didn't buy into that part, is what I'm saying. I feel like that would be a hard scene to write - lots of moving parts - so I hate to downgrade a book for it, but ultimately it really impacted my opinion of the characters. Really good premise, really good start, just fell apart a bit in the execution. I liked the beginning a lot though so I'd definitely try another by this author.

His memories are fuzzy but he knows that what they are doing is wrong and he wants out. The drug gives him superhuman strength and endurance. He attempts to escape multiple times but is continually captured again, until a nurse helps him. On the run, Brooks regains his memories and is hell bent on vengeance. But Cam's own past is coming after her too. A sizzling steam fest, I loved this book way more that Wilde's other book in the series about Dare. Even though this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. Tons of action, a typical romantic thriller with a dark male MC and all the best romance book tropes, like lost memories and one bed at the hotel. The characters are strong, determined and flawed. Brooks grapples with his trauma, Cam battles her own fears. Both have opposing ways of handling conflict which puts them at odds until Cam comes to understand why Brooks wants to kill his captors. Cam is caring and compassionate, doing the right thing even when others tell her not to. Lots of trigger warnings, captivity, abuse, death and violence. Lots of slow burn romance, plenty of passion and the plot of an action movie keep the book pace fast and quick. A great weekend read.

I really loved this book. This is the first book that I have read by Samantha Wilde. I was drawn to description of this book. Since, this is not the type of book that I would usually read. The rest of the novel follows Cam and Brooks as they are on the run. During, the time that they are on the run they end up falling for each other. And they do whatever they can to protect each other. Along the way we learn things from both Cam and Brooks's past. At the end the only thing that keeps them going is there growing love and admiration for each other. This was one of those books that I did not want to end. The love story was so cute. But, there was a lot of action in this as well. It was a super quick read. And I really loved Samantha Wilde's writing style. I defiantly suggest this book. I am so happy I choose to read a type of book that I normally wouldn't. Because, I feel in love with this story. I defiantly want to read more of Samantha Wilde's stuff. Thank you NetGalley Books for the ARC of this book.

I absolutely loved this book! Camryn has so much empathy for her patients and this patient in particular and strives to do the right thing in this situation. Brooks is not the typical military macho man of most romance novels, which I find so refreshing! As for the plot, Cam is a nurse on the run, having her first day in a new 'hospital', where she meets Brooks, a patient she is tasked to administer a sedative to. Right from the start she realises that this institution is not what she thought it would be and she can't in good conscience administer the drugs she is supposed to. What will she do when Brooks asks for her help? Brooks on the other hand is at the end of his rope, something has to give, either he escapes or dies trying. Overall, this romantic suspense novel was better than I expected it to be. A great mix between romance and suspense, with realistic interpersonal relationships and a love story for the ages. This is book three in an ongoing series, but for me it was the first book that I read in it, so I will definitely be going back to read the previous two books about Nash and Dare. They are not necessary to understanding this story, but it definitely provides a background that is nice to have. I hope to see more of Cam and Brooks in the upcoming books, which I will check out as soon as they are available. I highly recommend this book to fans of well-written romantic suspense novels! I'll be checking out the back catalogue by Samantha Wilde while waiting for her new books!

Good for those who like fast-paced romantic thrillers that are a little bit out of the ordinary. And what level of scrutiny is given to those who make those diagnoses? And do you accept those at face value? Questioning the world we live in aside, this was a good read with good tension, action and pacing throughout. A hearty helping of motivation is baked into the premise, and that keeps the pages turning. The love story is sweet: the (literally) tortured hero and the kindhearted nurse each vulnerable and strong in their own ways taking care of one another and growing together. Some elements could have used some extra attention. The sub-plot with cousin Isaac was not emotionally compelling and landed flat, especially given the lengths to which Cam went to hide from him. And at times, I found it difficult to suspend disbelief. First, when when Brooks checked them into a hotel under false names (just try it today and see what happens). And Second when Brooks—her lover and a professional journalist who should know something about privacy—urged Cam to give Isaac her real address. Overall, a good read that avoids many of the pitfalls of ho-hum fiction, and a good setup for what I assume will be Cole’s story in another book. His memory is destroyed and he's at the end of his tether, believing death would be better than his current circumstances. Camryn Bayfield is trying to keep a low profile and accepts a job working as a nurse in the Utah dessert. During her first shift she's tasked with administering drugs to Brooks, but her gut feeling tells her something is not as it should be. She starts asking questions, but doesn't get any satisfactory answers. Soon Camryn and Brooks are running for their lives, chased by scrupulous medical professionals and for-hire-bodyguards. When a wanted notice goes out on national television, Camryn finds that her past is also chasing them. Enter the Holmes brothers, who we've already met in the first two books, and an HEA is guaranteed. If these patients are recovering from injuries, why do his bruises look fresh? Cam helps him escape, but can't leave him alone due to the crippling withdrawals, and now they're on the run. As the only successful recipient of their drug trial, they'll never let him go. Now with his memories returning, Brooks reconnects with his sister Lexi, her husband Nash, and the rest of the Holmes brothers, determined to fight back against his abusers. I'm loving this whole series and can't wait to find out what happens next. Will we finally find out why Cole is so secretive and dangerous? Or will it be the mysterious Dallas next? I received an advance reader copy of this book through NetGalley. The views and opinions expressed in this review are completely my own and given voluntarily.

This book took me on a journey and I’m still trying to catch my breath! I gobbled it up within a day and have zero regrets. I had really enjoyed Book 2 in the series…but this is just something else. Where can I get a Brooks please? The man is hot, loyal and strong! He is just 🤤🤤🤤 and I love him. And yes, I claim him. I’ll fight Camryn for him. The man is a dream. The plot: Brooks has blocked his memories after being imprisoned and being the test subject of an experimental drug for almost a year. He has tried to escape countless times and gets punished every time for his efforts. Camryn is on the run from her drugged up, corrupt cop nephew after he attempts to kill her. She finds herself working in a medical institute where nothing feels right. When she meets patient 36, she immediately knows something is wrong and is determined to help him. As the two go on the run, you find love, passion and a deep sense of longing. The family links to previous books are embedded so well, you don’t feel like you’re missing out on anything. When the book came to an end, I just wanted to cry because I wanted more of my favourite couple. I have a feeling Sophia and Cal might be in the next book and feel so impatient for it. Don’t wait any longer and grab your copy. You won’t regret it! Thanks to NetGalley and Wilde for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

Its her first day at a new job while in hiding and she is inexplicably drawn to Brooks. She knows somethings wrong here... and she can't leave him. On the run from both of their pasts they slowly fall in love while danger looms around every corner. Every book in this series has been amazing. This one is a solid 5 stars in my opinion! Brooks is a big, tough, cinnamon roll. And is absolutely so caring to Cam. And Cam is such a great heroine. She is incredibly caring and so loyal. And since shes a nurse and hes been experimented on we get some wonderdul nursing back to health! As usual with Samantha Wildes writing I adore the romance and love how fast past she writes these stories. So much is going on and yet the way it goes down you can't help but want to go for the ride. The only complaint I have about this book is there is only one sex. The sexual tension was so hot throughout the book and these poor characters deserved a whole lot more alone time. Attending to her patient at a secret high security facility, Camryn notices things are amiss. And then the fun really begins. This story starts off with a bang, and honestly does not let up until the end. There is a lot of violence in this tale, so be ware if that is something offensive to you. It is well done and fits into the overall story nicely. There are lots of twists, turns and steamy scenes. I wouldn't consider this terribly angsty but a dark suspense filled tale with some romance. Overall great story. I love seeing characters appear from book one and two. The author has an overall theme that started with book one that requires resolution. A lovely set up for the book in the series. I read an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Brooks has been taken captive and used as a test subject against his will for a new drug that causes his body to become faster and stronger among other benefits. However, it also causes him to lose his memory and control over his rage. Seeing the abuse Brooks has endured, Cam helps him escape and they have to go on the run together in order to survive. They are challenged with re-capture, Brooks memory issues and Cam's past catching up with them. Throughout this adventure, their romance builds in a slow burn that was very entertaining and I really enjoyed these two characters. The action kept me engaged and I didn't want to stop reading. Overall, I found this book to be entertaining, captivating and well written.

So based off the blurb I really wanted to love this story. And, honestly, I just didn't love it. This is a new to me author-so I was hopeful because I am always looking for new author's to read. But it almost felt like a let down to me when I got to the end. I didn't read the previous books because well, I honestly didn't realize this was part of a series. I really don't understand how the last parts of it played out the way they did. It just doesn't make sense to me. I don't want to say a lot, because that would be a spoiler and I absolutely hate spoilers! But, I just felt like the author let me down with how the last of it played out. I don't think I will be reading anymore by this author unfortunately because I just felt like the last of it was almost like the author didn't know how she to make it work for her story. I don't even know, it was just such a let down for me.

Well well well... this Arc was a gift that kept on giving.  Usually im one to start at the begining of a series but after getting this ARC i decided to break my own rules and wow!! Talking of ride... Swoooooon!! A little bit of eye candy, muscle and kink in just the right amounts to make it a realistic story and not a far fetched grasp in introducing sexual situations into a storyline.  The storyline and the introduction to other charcters from previous books if you have read them and the hints at whats to come for future books after this installment definitely has you wanting more.  I cannot wait for you all to read this book and be just as desperate as i am for the next installment.

This was a thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining read! Right from the start the storyline hooked me and I was captivated by Cam and Brooks. I was definitely rooting for Cam and Brooks, I really loved how they came through for each other throughout the story. I did feel their characters could've been more developed, but even still they had great chemistry with a touch of steam between them. There are also some great secondary characters who have already had their own books or will hopefully get their own. This was the first book that I've read in the series. I am looking forward to the next one and going back to read the earlier couples' books. 4.5 I received an ARC from NetGalley and I am leaving a review voluntarily. Opinions are my own.

Brooks' character has been through hell and back and my heart absolutely broke for the poor man. Ms. Wilde could not have done a better job in the development of Cam's character -- she's everything I look for in a heroine and she's the absolute perfect match for Brooks. This was a very emotional, intense read that I couldn't put down and thoroughly and immensely enjoyed! I would suggest reading the previous 2 books in the series to get the most enjoyment out of this series which is fast becoming a favorite of mine! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.

I really enjoyed the first two instalments in Wilde’s Blood Brothers series, so I went into this with really high expectations. Not only were they met, but the author took a dive into some sci-fi aspects that completely blew me away! Nothing worse than trying to get into a story and being bored within the first few pages. As well as this, Wilde perfectly balances the romantic storyline with the other elements that have brought our two characters together. It was still sweet and sexy when it called for it, but this book is so much more than just a romance story and has some real substance to it’s writing. I love Brooks - I think he is my favourite of the guys from the Blood Brothers series. Thank you Samantha Wilde for yet another five star read.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It starts full of action with Brooks trying to escape his captives and the action doesn’t fizzle out throughout the whole book, so I was kept hooked and quickly turning the pages to see what would happen next.
