The John Ridley story was just ok. Tamaki's writing is great. I'm invested in these characters and their stories. There's a steady progression and flow. I like Bogdanovic's drawing but for me there's a noticeable dropoff from Mora's art. There are some stylist similarities between the two but Bogdanovic's work is slightly less consistent and dynamic. These aren't Gotham City epics, but you get 3 stories, all interesting and for only $5. Some of the other mainstream titles I buy every Wednesday cost the same price and it takes 12 issues for a story to move. Was also great to see Barbara as Oracle even though I enjoyed her college stories in hipster Burnside . This role seems more suited to her in my view. For the main story I don't really like how a supernatural element is involved now, but thats just a preference thing. Solid issue. Love Tamaki writing DC and Batman. The three stories don't connect, but they are - by far - better than the other titles with their "bonus" stories. I enjoy seeing Bruce tackle conflict as both Batman and Bruce, and I'm much more interested in this murder mystery than progressing toward the Magistrate. Solid issue. What a killer arc Tamaki is giving us. Just wish Dan Mora was on every issue.
