Bộ phim cũng giúp khán giả hiểu hơn về tập tục lối sống Nhật Bản thời cổ đại, như tiệc đặt tên cho người trưởng thành, như việc nhổ chân mày, nhuộm răng đen, như nghi lễ bái phỏng... Truyền thần tả ảnh một câu chuyện cổ tích, studio đã biến hoá nét vẽ sao cho đậm chất huyền ảo, mang nhiều nét tượng trưng, lại khéo pha lẫn một chút liêu trai. Hiệu ứng đó càng được studio gia cố thông qua việc sử dụng chất liệu màu nước chủ đạo, tạo cho bức tranh và thước phim cảm quan như luôn có gì đó không thật. Nét vẽ của anime này vi diệu lắm luôn. Mình ấn tượng mạnh ở nét vẽ nhiều hơn nội dung. Tóm lại, chất lượng.
