Everything went as expected, everyone whispering about her behind their hands and she’s counting down the minutes until she can escape to her hotel room and get comfortable. But when Theo approaches her for a dance it turns into so much more, a night to remember,It was meant to be a one night only kind of thing but she dreams of it being more. When Theo calls her out of the blue she can’t help thinking this could lead to love but when his past makes him think the worst will she be strong enough to show him that what they have is real? Theo is sick of women viewing him as a meal ticket, wealthy beyond anything he dreamed he could ever be and he’s been burned by women and live before. For five years he has kept women at arms length but attending his nieces wedding never has the battle seemed more insurmountable with the women his sister has sitting at his table. Especially one who is digging those claws right in but when he spots a curvy delight in trainers he knows he has found his saviour never considering she could be something more, so when morning comes around he knows she is special. She’s gone before he can make his move but he is determined to find her and make her his. Is he finally ready to leave his ex in the past or will what happened ruin what could be forever? I have read a few books by this author and this one wasn’t as good as the previous ones. There wasn’t really any conflict between them and even with his past Theo let’s people walk all over him. Decent read still. 3.5*

Could this be the start of a real relationship between them? Or will a misunderstanding drive them apart?

Although she is happy for her brother, she is not in the mood to be there. The reason being, a week ago her boyfriend broke up with her. So, she is just trying to blend in, you know make it through. She cringes each time, a relative gives her their pity, and they let her know he'll come crawling back soon. Theo’s, niece Dani is going to marry, Jason. Theo loves his, niece. His eldest and only sister Amanda that he has a problem with it. His sister is a real gem. She is much older; she acts like a much younger, spoiled child. To get away from the date, his sister arranged for him. He hides in the shadows at the reception. That's when, he sees the first woman, to catch his eye, in five years. One dance is all it takes for the two of them to figure out, something is going on between them. Then, they ask each other one question, and they know they will be spending the evening, together. This is a sexually induced relationship. At first, not meant for more than, a ‘one and done.’ But, clearly turns quickly into so much, more. I love how the author shows, Theo’s insecurities, as much if not more than, Jen’s. But, how much and how fast, their bond grew.

Gorgeous age gap romance. Jen, recently split from her boyfriend encounters an older man, Theo at her brother’s wedding to his niece. Theo is gorgeous and is immediately captivated by the young woman he asks to dance to escape the attentions of his sister’s friend. Highly recommend this and will definitely be reading more of Lisa Freed’s books in the future.

I really liked Jen and Theo, I felt a connection to them and believed in their connection and chemistry. I liked that they couldn't stay away from each other, that they were open and honest, and that they supported each other. For me, emotionally Theo seemed younger than his age, because of his past and what he had been through. I thought Jen showed maturity in how she handled things. I really liked seeing their relationship develop and seeing some of their future too. I'm having a hard time giving a rating on this book. There were part that I liked and then some parts not as much. There was some sweetness that I liked and the emotions came across pretty well. Theo and Jennifer (Jen) have insecurities that show up without being mushy. There is also a ton of the horizontal mambo. Well written but maybe a touch too much for me. I liked how the story ended with the promised H.E.A. The Epilogue was a bonus that I always appreciate. I'm giving it 3.5 Stars on Amazo I'm having a hard time giving a rating on this book. This was a really good book which explores the relationship between Theo and Jennifer. There is a seventeen year age gap between them and the author did a really great job revealing their anxieties and insecurities from both POV. The book was well written and the characters very believable. The connection between them was so strong, a love story indeed. I rate this book 4.5*.

Awkward The story didn’t get to me. This is too much of an age gap, the writing wasn’t appealing. Theo’s thoughts are too immature, the writing is just awkward. This was my first book of the author, no desire too try a second book to see if this was a flaw in her series.

Much better… …than the title suggests. It’s a sweet age gap story about two people healing and finding happiness. I would suggest it to someone who likes a bit of spice but mostly a live story.
