****spoilers from book 1*** 3.45 ⭐'s Book 2 of the Urf Oomons series. The epilogue in Mandy’s book set things up for this one. Lu is hiding on Earth, and enamored with a human. We get cameos from most of the secondary characters, except Baht the spider dude, but his book is next, so we’ll catch up with him soon. My only real complaint was that I wanted more updates on the babies. Bottom Line- I didn’t enjoy this as much, but it was still good, and I recommend giving it a shot if you read the first ****spoilers from book 1*** 3.45 ⭐'s Book 2 of the Urf Oomons series. Gloria and Lu were missing that something (I didn’t feel the commitment/dedication/respect from Gloria) that Mandy and Seven had, and it took a while for things to get moving. Once they were reunited with the others it picked up for me. I’m interested to see where it goes, but I’m a smidge overwhelmed with all the balls in the air. Ken needs an Oomon, Sal and Shawn are still around, the babies, more secondary characters in the mix, all the humans sprinkled around to rescue, the cliffy, etc. Baht’s up next.

Wow. Bebe Harper hit it out of the park again!! I loved the first book in this series, Mandy and the Tentacle Monster, and was excited to read this next installment. I was worried if it would measure up to the first one and boy did it. This was lighthearted and sweet. I love these Homeworlders, they are so open and straightforward. It's so cute and refreshing. He wanted a mate so badly after seeing Mandy and Seven's bond. After he crash lands on Earth, escaping bad aliens, he starts watching the interesting human that keeps coming out into the secluded cove he's hiding in. Lu feels a protective instinct for this female human and he's drawn to her. When he sees men trying to hurt and kidnap her, he comes to her rescue. Once Lu left the water, to save the female, the bad aliens were able to track him and abducted Lu, the female, and her dog. The craziness ensues from there. Gloria, is vacationing with her dog Princess Peach. She is trying to escape the negativity of being being cancelled and physical threats after a comment made during a gaming video on her gaming channel gets twisted and goes viral. Gloria is exploring and videoing the strange creature she's found in the cove, when men come and try to kidnap her. The "creature" comes to her rescue, saving her and her dog from the kidnappers. Gloria should be afraid of the huge tentacled creature but she feels safe with him, especially when they are caged together in an alien ship. I loved all these characters. Everyone all together on the Homeship really is a big happy family. This was fast paced and action packed. There were multiple abductions, rescues, sly betrayals with Government detentions to overcome. Lu and Gloria were so sweet as they got to know each other and worked out the kinks of cultural misunderstandings. There also was plenty of steam as they learned about each other's anatomy. I highly recommend this series. Both books so far have been highly entertaining with lovely characters. I can't wait for the rest of the stories in this series. Hopefully Ken and Baht will find their lady loves soon. Even though this is an ARC review, I will always shoot you straight. Although this book could be standalone, I think readers needed to read the 1st book. It's better that way. For one, it's easier to understand the universe, the aliens (or as they preferred to be called "a sentient"), and who to root for. Trust me, it's fun that way. Anyway, the story of the trio Homeworlders continued with Cthulhu (or Lu) who crashed landing on earth, specifically in a lake near a secluded cottage; a cottage where Gloria a-games-influencers de-stressed. Lu who watched from faraway while hiding from his enemy fell for her without him himself knowing. And then bad things happened (from being abducted to being held captive by the Government) and Lu kept on saving Gloria. Oh btw, imagine Lu like Ursula, but bald male. Kinda. I liked this series. It was sweet yet funny. Gloria inner monologue was hilarious, though I preferred Mandy's sense of freedom. But the dynamic between 3 socially-awkward-Homeworlders and these 2 learn-as-they-go sassy human females worked. And I enjoyed every bit of turn of events. Despite being kidnapped, being held by the Government, up to being in an intergalactic court, the story felt light and fun. And definitely sexy!! I couldn't wait for Baht story next. And Ken. Uh oh, who would mate with Ken?! No virgin Human female, octopus-liked Homeworlder alien Dual PoV, 1st person No condoms, natural birth control No cheating, No OW/OM, NO exes No drama/angst Safe read, HEA, no epilogue Overall score: 4 fun sexy romance stars

Not going to lie, I have genuinely enjoyed how besotted both Lu and Seven have become with their humans. I mean, they may be massive, tentacled aliens on the surface, but they're pure marshmallow underneath. And I'm here for it. Then they get abducted (yes, Lu, an alien, gets abducted by aliens. Heh.) and a series of miscommunications and missed opportunities has them separated once they get free. Which Lu is 100% not okay with. So he works with Mandy to make sure his special someone makes it back to his side. While these Homeworlders and possessive and a little obsessive, they're also extremely careful not to cross lines that have been set for them. Which means that miscommunication from before leaves Lu thinking Gloria wants nothing to do with him (despite her agreeing to join him on Mandy's ship) and has him skulking about incognito. Then things get even more hairy when Gloria goes missing and forces conspire to keep the two of them apart. Forces include (but are not limited to) slavers, judiciary committees, another human, and bounty hunters. Look, there's a lot going on here and yet Gloria and Lu find time to get over their miscommunication and hook up in a big way. Like I said, I'm genuinely enjoying how these big, terrifying aliens just go gaga over their special someone. -Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal

This second book in the series was just as funny and enjoyable as the first. In my opinion it was actually *steamier* than the first! Love reading about the wild universe Bebe Harper has created— it’s so unique from other SFR and she always makes me laugh out loud

He should be leaving, hiding from the slavers that he escaped from, but instead he is watching this tiny human and her strange companion animal. When she is attacked Lu has no choice but to intervene which sets off a series of events leading to Gloria being Kidnapped multiples times and Lu learning just how attached he has become to his little Gloria.  I have to start off by saying that I Hate (with a capital H) cliff-hanger endings, so while I enjoyed the story it is now overshadowed by the big, BUM BUM BUM at the end. This is not helped by the fact that there is no date for the next book in the series. Even so, I loved how realistic this series ends up being. None of the characters are amazing, they all have very clear faults and, can i say human, failings. It is these faults that make this story so great. No one is the hero and even the characters, Gloria and Mandy to name a few, are not heroic or unselfish. In fact Mandy annoys me with her attempts to save other humans and Gloria does some really silly things. Dramatic irony is not present in this book which makes the events even more gripping as you are as shocked, upset and surprised as the characters you are experiencing them with are. I also enjoyed the fact that the personalities of Mandy and Gloria were almost opposed at times as they worked their way through the story.  Overall, I would recommend this book (and the previous) to everyone that doesn't mind tentacles used in creative ways, clueless aliens and equally clueless humans in a universe that doesn’t respect either species, and stories that end in cliffhangers.

Don't blink, and don't get comfortable because you're not staying here. Just when you think you have it all sorted out, Kabamm. This is such a fun group of characters. You don't just have the female main character and her love interest. You have a whole cast of people you want to know, some intimately, some you want to poke, some you want to knock in the head, and a few you will scratch your head and think "What's up with you?". I have to say that I love Lu. He tries to be such a gentleman with Gloria. Not overstep her oomon boundaries and be as respectful of her as possible. The fact that he doesn't try to push and is totally unable to play games is really refreshing. Wonderful, weird sci fi romance I cannot tell a lie: this book contains graphic sex with a tentacle monster. But I honestly don't care. I adored this book as much as I did the first. It is quirky, sweet, has action and romance, all with a sci-fi twist. Isn't this supposed to be erotica? This one has some pros and cons to it. On the up side, the characters are cute, and it's not the same old non-consensual nonsense. The aliens are actually endearing, and have some personality and emotions - not just tentacles. The MRA minor characters stalking the main female protagonist were an interesting addition. The prose is clunky and cloyingly sweet, not unsurprisingly for something probably ghost-written from a commission on Upwork. There are some flirting scenes and allusions to sex and breeding, but it's shockingly modest - and frankly, that is not the reading experience I was looking for. I liked the romance enough, and it was an interesting twist on the genre - but it just wasn't the most important part of the book for this reader, anyway. The anatomy lesson is painfully awkward, not sexy. The sex itself it irritatingly brief. All in all, I don't particularly recommend this if you're actually looking for a work of erotica that delivers the goods.

Had a good thing going... And then you get to the end and everything Mandy did to make Earth safe and then Gloria advocated for humans not to be sold, ended up being for nothing. I loved the first book and was equally entertained by this one until the ending, the author even had stories for the other abducted humans that could have been made for other books! I will still read the third book when it comes out to see where the author takes this because I enjoyed Baht as a character.

Quick fun read These stories of tentacle aliens are quick, fun reads. For Seven, Ken, and Lu initially being clueless in personality until meeting Tiny/Mandy, it has been fun to see them all develop their individual storylines. I didn’t expect much after the first book. That one was just ok but it presented an alien HEA with not unpleasant characters even if emotions, character, and interpersonal development were missing so I thought I’d see how the second book hit. This one was worse. The plot was weaker and there were way too many abductions.
