Christmas is early this year with this opposites attract romance that have you craving some holiday cheer mixed with those scorching scenes that Tessa never disappoints to provide... The way that Aiden is described in this novel took me by surprise I cannot lie. Stella and Aiden, two individuals from different worlds with different personalities meet under a mutual circumstance that make their meet cute one of a kind. And with time, Tessa has written a romance novel that has me craving for me. Craving for Aiden's personality in every single male character that I read from now on. Cheerful and full of life, Aiden is the persona you always want to be around. But when the drapes come off and he shows his inner cave man, a protective possessive man towards Stella, you just know that he is one scorching torch. While Stella, a broody young lady with a past that she does not want her to follow her, learns that accepting help from others is not always a bad thing to do. These two, together make one heck of a couple. With struggles of their own, but with Aiden involved and the strong urge of protecting what is his, Stella becomes the target of his desires and needs. Not only that, but emotionally he knows that having her as his is what he has been striving for his entire life. Her being his true soul mate is what seals the deal, because he knows that being with her than without her is what makes him or brakes him. But with time, both of them realize that being together is the best kind of magic there is. Tessa has once again, and not even the tiniest bit surprised outdone herself with her magical fingers and brain to write such a fantastic novel that will have everyone truly on their knees wanting for more. With that being said, I can officially say that I am obsessed with having our male characters as the cheerful loving ones, and the females as the broody type with a stone hear, needing their one true mate to melt them. I cannot wait to see what is up next for Tessa! ARC kindly provided by Tessa in exchange for an honest review… Follow Me On: Instagram ♕ Twitter

4 Coming Out of Pause Stars ⭐ Here’s the truth. Reading a Tessa Bailey book is like removing your bra after a long day, throwing on your pjs and making yourself a cuppa; obviously in that other! Always pleasurable and comforting. And if that’s not convincing enough, this author is the Queen of the grumpy/sunshine trope and this was no different…except with a surprising twist. I’m not what one would refer to as approachable. In fact, I’m fluent in Fuck Off. Hopefully he speaks it, too. Or at least 4 Coming Out of Pause Stars ⭐ Here’s the truth. In fact, I’m fluent in Fuck Off. Hopefully he speaks it, too. Or at least knows how to read body language. Stella Schmidt is at rock bottom. In fact, she’s alone in New York trying to find her footing whilst regretting her life choices. At 25 years old she has no direction, but I guess at this point, the only way is up. A whimsical moment, staring at a window display at the high-end department store Vivant, when the unlikeliest thing happens. A life changing interaction with an annoying but gorgeous stranger in a Xmas bow tie. “Don’t let the bow tie fool you, Stella. I’m not always nice,” he says, a deep burr in his voice. “When the situation calls for it, I can be downright rough.” There is no logical explanation as to why Aidan Cook would be smitten with a stranger standing on the sidewalk judging his window displays. Apart from ‘The Penguin Chernobyl’ eye sore they are both staring at, this girl fascinates him. What is the likelihood that Stella needs a job, and a window dressing position has come up? A trial run could be the beginning of something great. For Stella, this is a fresh beginning and for Aidan, well he’s hearing wedding bells. Yet attraction aside, there is that minor detail of no fraternizing between staff. Aidan is desperately trying to do the honorable thing except he can’t see reason beyond his lust. And the moment its mutual? Kaboom! Her pulse ticked faster, more insistently when I grazed her lips or jawline with my teeth, the tighter I fisted her clothing, the more anxious she became. No soft and slow for Stella. Yeah, I’ve got her number. It’s the same as mine. These two were adorable. Stella was rocking the whole emo goth chick vibe, while Aidan was Mr. Suave that convincingly masked his naughtiness. On paper, these two weren’t exactly compatible, yet when you looked past appearances the connection was instant and real. I enjoyed the contrast of both characters individually and together. And once you’ve read this, you’ll get what I mean! Surrounded by the backdrop of Christmas in New York, Window Shopping was a true delight.

Can I just say, Tessa Bailey knows what’s up. You know all those kinky Ted Lasso dreams you’ve been having? Well, she makes them all come true in this book. Said Kinky Ted Lasso is Aiden Cook, the perky, a-little-overtly-optimistic manager of Vivant, a high-end department store founded by his family. Being a window dresser was Stella’s lifelong dream. After four years in prison, she’s reluctant to even entertain the idea that she could achieve that goal - but guess what? Aiden has her number, and he’s going to put her talent to use. Their dynamic was incredible and the reverse grumpy/sunshine trope isn't something I've seen a lot of. I'm into it! Aiden scratched a very specific itch for me with his long winded stories and crazy metaphors and Tennessee-ness, and Stella was such a cathartic character to read. She's still reeling from her past mistakes and feels so undeserving of a second chance. The book also explores Stella's toxic friendship with the girl who landed her in prison (so to speak) and I think their dynamic is going to make us all remember high school very vividly, ha. This was Christmas-y and sweet and HOT and joyful. Tessa Bailey, if you ever stop writing (or making TikToks) I don’t know what I’ll do with myself!

This was adorable! I never thought I’d love a hero who loves bow ties but I do. This was really sweet and easy to read - there’s not much plot outside the heroine building a life for herself after prison, but I was perfectly fine with this and plus, I loved the holiday vibes! The hero is your classic TB hero who’s obsessed with the heroine from the get-go. If you love prickly heroines and sunshine heroes, you’ll enjoy Window Shopping.

Yes they’re a perfect opposites attract duo—an ex-convict heroine adjusting to life after prison, a bow-tie wearing Tennessee gentleman department store owner. Their chemistry’s on fire, their attraction palpable, but Tessa took her time showing us how they had to face their past wounds & present fears & make independent choices about how they were going to live healthily in their futures before they could give themselves fully to each other. That got me. Also, I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’ll stay vague, but that epilogue—what an emotional sucker punch!! I loved.    While I feel this is a newer vibe from Tessa, from the sunshiny Ted Lasso-type hero, to the present tense first person point of view (both of which I really enjoyed), anyone familiar with Tessa will recognize her handiwork (oh, the dirty talk, hoooo boy, get ready!). In short, if you haven’t already, get WINDOW SHOPPING on your TBR!    Content Notes: serving time in prison (past), toxic friendship, strained parental & familial relationships.

As expected from Tessa Bailey, Window Shopping is one sexy, comical romance book to be read this holiday season. "It's not my job to teach people to be happy" Despite the fast-paced, spicy romance this book has to offer, Window Shopping is more than just two characters falling in love. This book deals with the struggle to overcome past toxic friendships, as well as trying to regain one's footing after spending four years behind the bars; which made this new twist on a holiday romance fantastic! On the surface, it was Hallmark-esque, but it quickly descended into a deeper, serious redemption story that I absolutely loved. "It's probably a good thing she interrupted me because I am on the verge of proposing marriage" It couldn't be denied that the star of the show would be the one and only, Aiden Cook. He is a goofy, hulking, genuine bubble-butted hero we all adored. You'll never get enough of his Aunt Edna story. But foremost, he wears holiday-themed bowed ties! Where do we even find these gentlemen nowadays? However, those traits shouldn't fool you because, despite the exterior, he was made the beast in the sheet. Making him a literal whole package and I'll never fathom how Tessa Bailey came up with a man who is the ideal combo of a dorky and smutty at the same time. The same could be expected for their romance with the opposite attracts and reverse grumpy-sunshine tropes. You would see how they both complete and assist each other in growing and overcoming the mistaken beliefs that are preventing them from living fully, as the best romances do. I was captivated by the plot as there was a palpable push-pull tension and vulnerability on both sides. Nonetheless, the christmas book vibe started to evaporate as the story goes. Why you ask? Because the romance rooted in insta-love which I have to sadly admit wasn't my cup of tea. It was adorable, but the second half of the book is loaded with graphic love scenes that aren't necessary for the plot (unless you're in for endless smut). Regardless, the author's style of searing fun and humorous charm was paired with her remarkable ingenuity, making this not the typical romance I expect. The entire work moved at a consistent pace and was set in a post-pandemic New York City bursting with hope and optimism, which was delightful to read.

It sounds so fascinating and fun! Stella is amazing and it's clear she loves doing this with her whole heart. This is one of the main reasons Aiden hires her and her windows are A HIT!!! YES GIRL!!! I loved watching her open up to new people and this new life after prison. She deserves all the good things in the world. Aiden?? Boy oh boy. He's a dirty talker. Did we expect less from Tessa tho? She always delivers with the hotness. I'm in love with Aiden so much. *fans myself* He is all proper and sunshine in the streets, but in the sheets, he's naughty and dirty and he has some roughness inside him. The way the sexual tension and pining is written in this book... CHEF KISS. You're craving that first kiss badly between them. I loved them together so much since the very beginning. After watching What's Wrong With Secretary Kim (the k-drama), this book was perfect to read after that. Aiden and Young-Joon are so similar in the way of how much they love the heroine since the beginning. They want to buy a diamond ring, they want to think about their future since page 1. I LOVE TO SEE THAT SO MUCH!!! Heroes who are sure and ready to commit. Tessa Bailey wrote a beautiful Christmas story about two people who fit perfectly together. You cannot think seeing one without the other person. I love the workplace romance, the smut, and the romantic small moments between the couple.

okay listen, I tried. I really tried to enjoy this but it just did not hit for me. I just didn’t feel the connection to the couple or to the main character. Stella nods, letting her head tip back and hit the wall. “Yes. Anything. Yes.” Anything. Permission granted, I reach down and yank up her skirt. Stella recently moved to NY after serving her sentence and stumbles upon an atrocious holiday window display. Naturally, she tells the bow tie wearing handsome stranger making idle small talk with her on the street how she feels. And naturally he invites her to interview for the window design job. Oh and he may have forgotten to mention that he happens to be the namesake and owner of the store. Whoopsy. Aiden is the quintessential nice guy I never knew I wanted. I am not generally a reader that likes nice guys. Wow, that sounds bad. What I mean is I want a nice guy in real life, and I love them toxic in fiction. But Aiden? He was just impossible not to love. He's a sweet man with a dirty streak who is already picking out china patterns in his head the minute he and Stella get together. It takes Stella a hot minute to come to terms of her feelings for her boss, but once she does, it's all in. Don’t let the cute, sparkly cover fool you! Stella and Aiden had me seriously blushing. A sweet holiday romance with unexpected surprises! what I didn’t love: - the references to popular culture and the pandemic was cringey. If I’m reading a contemporary book, it’s to escape from that madness 🥲 tropes: workplace romance, age gap, reverse grumpy sunshine, opposites attract, and forbidden romance (boss x employee)!

Nice Guy in the streets, Dirty Sexpot between the sheets! Yes please. I love Tessa Bailey. She always brings humor, sweetness, and serious steam. WINDOW SHOPPING is a great holiday romance that has all three. First, I love the Grump+Sunshine trope and I especially love it when the female is the Grump! Stella is an amazing heroine and I adore that Tessa Bailey had the ovaries (because "balls" aren't that impressive) to have a heroine who is a convicted Felon, having just been released from being incarcerated for years. Stella is hardworking, passionate, and totally lovable. She is growing and changing during this story and I love a good character arc! Aiden is the seriosuly sunshiney hero I needed in my life! But, because he is a complex character, we get to see what made him so sunshiney and why it is a part of who he is. And, geez, does he leave the "nice guy" behind in the bedroom. So...much...steam...and I was here for every minute of it! I took away a star from my rating for 2 reasons. (1) This book has some continuity issues. There are a few scenes that contradict earlier scenes. Also, the lead characters have a foot difference in height and it seems as if the author mentions this a lot at the beginning of the book and then completely forgets about it. There are many times when the characters are standing next to eachother and she tucks her face into his neck and where they press forheads without him leaning down, etc. The writing often contradticts the physical characteristics the author set up. (2) There is an emotionally unhealthy friendship woven throughout this entire story. It is a major plot point. At the very end of the book, YEARS of gaslighting and manipulation are instantly erased with one conversation. It just seemed completely unrealistic based on the relastionship history the author wrote. WINDOW SHOPPING is a really great holiday read and tackles some tough topics, while also being not too heavy. You'll definately want to curl up under a fluffy blanket this December and read about Stella, Aiden, and their sweet (and STEAMY...don't forget the steam) love story. 4.5 stars Window Shopping was the perfect feel good romcom to get me in the holiday spirit! It has a little bit of everything for everyone - forced proximity, boss/employee taboo, opposites attract, a teasing sexy slow burn, and reverse grumpy + sunshine. I will always love a good guy hero and Aiden is one of the best! He is all in for Stella from the start and who doesn't love a hero who is just gone for his leading lady? Don't let the manners and bow tie fool you though, he's a beast in the bedroom (*ahem* or filing room). There's a reason Tessa Bailey is known as the queen of dirty talk! She builds the anticipation so well and I'm honestly surprised my kindle didn't melt right in my hand. LOL The instalove is strong in Window Shopping, but I thought it worked for Stella and Aiden. They each have things in their pasts that are holding them back and that they need to work through, but I loved how much they believed in and drew strength from each other. Ultimately though, they both were the heroes of their own stories, which allowed them to grab their happily ever after. Don't miss this sweet and sexy romance! CW: mentions of armed robbery and incarceration (past), codependent and toxic friendship, parental abandonment, strained family relationships, alcohol use *I voluntarily read an advance review copy of this book*

There is something so addicting about Tessa Bailey’s books, having read her for many years she never ceases to amaze and surprise me and this book…O..M..G..THIS BOOK was fanfreakingtastic! Window Shopping was heartfelt, uplifting, funny, flirty, sensuous, and honestly, pure genius. These characters not only came from two different worlds, they were at very different places in their lives, yet their connection was instantaneous and threw them both for a bit of a loop. I read this book in one sitting; I could not put it down! The path to Aiden and Stella being together was not an easy one; there were ups and downs and Stella had some big things to get through to even be open to the idea, but there was Aiden keeping it real, showing her the way he would always treat her, giving her hope and affection she didn’t even realize she so desperately needed. I love that Aiden quickly figured out that while he could give Stella anything and he would, he realized how important it was for her to do things on her own no matter if it was a struggle. Their chemistry sizzled throughout but it was the depth of their relationship and the trust between them that shown throughout. Don’t get me wrong when they did finally get together and this was a bit of a slow burn (but not too slow), they were combustible in all the best ways. It was absolutely a sexy read, but it was romantic and sweet as well. Set against the backdrop of New York City at Christmas you could feel the magic in the air as these characters made changes in their lives, gave one another their trust and love, and showed great personal growth. From start to finish I was completely immersed in this story and honestly I didn’t want to leave when it was over. If you only read one holiday romance this year, make it Window Shopping. You won’t be sorry! Review copy provided for a voluntary review.

Yeah, so this one didn't quite work for me. Not sure what's to blame here honestly, on paper it had all the makings of something I should love. Sadly, neither MC was able to take me there. The dirty talk was nice, the filthy promises enticing, I guess, the smut was... hell, if I skimmed the sex scenes there was undoubtly something not right... for me. I definitely understand the Tessa Bailey hype now. I’m not a fan of romcom because I fear some might be too cheesy but this books has definitely swayed me over to the “light side” 😂 Seriously I really enjoyed this book mostly because I related to Stella very much. This story was so ridiculously cute, I couldn’t deal. Aiden was so warm and welcoming and just hilarious he was the light in the dark for Stella I think after everything she has been through. I do hope they each get their own stories. Overall I absolutely swooned for this story, everyone should definitely read it. I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.
