sarah jean alexander has a darkly funny lens and focuses it on love, friendship, and a honeymoon in italy in ways that are both extremely specific and accidentally, affirmingly, achingly universal.

I loved this. Great food poetry. It made we want to cook, which is a good feeling to have from a book of poems.

I often say Sarah Jean Alexander is our greatest living American poet and this brilliant, joyful book only proves that I'm right. I often say Sarah Jean Alexander is our greatest living American poet and this brilliant, joyful book only proves that I'm right.

I’ve been reading this again. It’s such an uplifting collection. The beauty of life in the face of death and the role that food plays in that. It reminded me of Frank O’Hara, Rachel Roddy and drinking a full bottle yoga brand Apricot Juice on the beach in the sun.
