The reader is asked to walk a blurry line between sad desperation and hopeful determination which is both uncomfortable and captivating.

Loved it. Even better than the first. And reading it on a pc was strangely captivating. Something about it emphasized the filmic quality. Anyway, there's plenty of room for this story to go sideways, but up to this point, I love it, and I can imagine it translating to film or television s well. Loved it. Even better than the first.
