Waiting like 3 months for the next issue makes my heart big sad.

Every issue you get just a little bit more from what’s behind this mystery. Here we get Walter in the past telling two of the characters that this was coming. Plus some of the preparation that’s going to be put forth. Still wondering what exactly Walter is.

3,5/5. It was fine, but felt a bit like a filler, the story slow down a lot and we didn't learn anything new nor did we move forward. 3,5/5. It was fine, but felt a bit like a filler, the story slow down a lot and we didn't learn anything new nor did we move forward.

Reg's backstory is fascinating since he knows (kind of) what's going on. I think it's interesting that Walter called himself a robot, but in Reg's flashback, they called him, or them, an alien - and Reg is so accepting (and already painting the weird shapes - so did Walter incorporate those into the design or is there something else to it?). My theory prior too this was that Walter's EoTW question was to determine the best way to end the world, and I briefly felt vindicated hearing Norm's answer Reg's backstory is fascinating since he knows (kind of) what's going on. Anyway, the cliffhanger isn't the massive shock I was expecting, but it does raise some questions. It sucks that this title is going on hiatus. Such a momentum killer.

The story is this: a group of people are being called by Walter, a friend they all have in common, to spend a week at this beautiful house on the lake, a place that you wouldn't even believe it's real. Some of them know each other from college, others from high school, they've all met before and have some history. Once they get there, the world outside starts to change, and inside that nice house on the lake things are about to get really, REALLY crazy... And in Book Six, the revelation comes. We understand (better than before) what's going on in that house on the lake, who really is Walter (kinda) and the plans behind this set-up they're all in. And then, another turn of the screw and you just want to read the next one... But it's not out yet!!! (Dec. 29 / 2021) So, I guess we'll just have to wait for Book Seven while thinking about the ones before and the new clues to figure all out.

A kind of "Where we're at now" and while it presented itself in a normal way than I thought this series would, I was still pretty interested throughout. Learning exactly what we have here, and how we'll go to the second half of this series, the fact this person revealed who he was a long time ago, brings a lot of layers to the reasoning of what they're doing. Bit of an exposition dump, but I’m mostly just mad that I have to wait five more months for the next issue.

Clever way to fill us in but then make the characters forget. Forget.
