I love it. Eliza has a scar on her face that she thinks makes her look bad. When she goes to get her baby, Clementine, she finds out the land she is to use is on the river. The dragon warrior, Troy, finds nothing wrong with the way she looks. His dragon has told him she is his mate. When they go to the bank to pick up the keys to the house & deed to the land, they find out there is an offer for her property. She isn't going to sell her daughter's legacy! When they get to the house they meet some I love it. When they get to the house they meet some of the neighbors who haven't sold out yet, but are thinking about it. The person who is buying the riverside property seems to have done something to the river. The water supply is almost gone, so crops are hard to grow, & turn a profit. The neighbors Bitty & Ankk are about to sell out & move to town. They try to take vegetables from the grocer to the miners for a small fee. There is a small problem about the spaceship graveyard. So many ships have crashed here. They had been hauled to that place. It is now believed haunted. So they explain that they will probably be moving sometime. The next day the Banker drops in to walk Eliza around her property to show her where her property line is. He brings a picnic lunch, Troy doesn't like him around his unclaimed mate. He finally gets her to come in when he tells her they need to go to town because they are running low on formula for Clem. Eliza is a little flattered because she believes the scar makes her face too damaged for a man to be attracted to. He leaves, she goes in but they put off going into town until the next day. They get into town & go into different shops. When Troy he comes out to see a man come up to start talking to Eliza. He walks up and punches him, She goes back into the store. He tells the man & his friends to never talk about her like that again! They scatter. He goes in & asks her if she heard what they said, she will not talk to him. He guesses she did not. It was better she just thought he was being aggressive then to hear what they had said. They had had been making comments about her face. One dared the other to hit on her. She would probably be so grateful she would give it to them in the alley. He had been so angry. They got home, the Banker is back again to say he would like to court her. She will think about it. Bitty told them Annk hurt his leg rounding up their horses. Troy goes out to help him, he sees where the horses got out. The fence looks cut. He looks at Annk's leg & picks him up. He carries him into the house. Eliza goes out to catch the horses, seeing the fence she ties them to a tree. She also notices the "break" in the fence looks a little too neat. Annk was supposed to make a vegetable haul for the grocer tomorrow. With his ankle sprained like that, he won't be able to. Troy says he will do it. Eliza says if they will watch Clem they both will. Troy doesn't want her to go but she is determined. The next morning they take Annk's wagon with a message for the grocer & get loaded up. They spend the day on the trail, it is a long day. When they get past the spaceship graveyard they make camp for the night. When they are about to go to sleep they hear loud growling outside their tent. Troy goes out to look around. He doesn't see or smell anything. They go to sleep. The next morning they wake up to find some rotten fruit thrown on trail, things turned over. They reload, nothing appears to have been taken. Troy still can't find any tracks whatsoever of what has done this. They get back on the road. When they reach the mines & unload, Eliza is a little surprised at how little attention the guard places in the crates. They end up taking three people back with them. They stop in the same place as the night before to camp. Again they hear growling, with more people, Troy goes to look more. He finds a speaker for the growling, he takes it down. He goes on to the spaceships & finds a projector for colored lights & takes it as well. He goes back to camp. He goes into their tent & shows Eliza what the ghosts were made of. She is wondering why someone would want to do this. The next day they are back on the trail. They let the miners off in town & head home. The baker is again at their house. As they are about to pick up Clem from Bitty & Annk someone rides up to tell Eliza she needs to sell her land to him or she will regret it. She tells him she is not selling. He threatens to hurt Clem. Troy comes between them when he brings forth some shadowy creature. Troy transforms to block it, he takes a swipe at it but can't really injure it. The Banker is almost hysterical telling the man "you told me they weren't real, no one would get hurt!" Eliza sees Troy can't really do anything with all of them there. So she gets it to chase her out onto the river bed. Troy takes off, as he is flying he sees the dam the man put in to block the river. He also sees how much the shadowy thing is trying to stay away from water. He knocks out the dam, gets the river flowing & goes for his mate. He pulls Eliza out of the river & blows electrocuting shots out of his mouth at the shadowy creature until he is pretty sure it's dead. The Banker tries to talk to Eliza about courting her. She tells him, he's not for her. Troy is. He says he is just an animal, she punches him. The call the sheriff. The banker reveals the man's plan to buy all property on the river & start a toll. They turned over the speaker & projector as evidence. With the dam that was illegal to put up, he was going away a long time. After they gave their statements, Bitty offered to watch Clem again. Troy asked Eliza to be his mate, she accepted.

This book is such a fun read! Eliza has been scarred and believes that no one will ever want to marry her, so she goes through the adoption agency and moves to another planet. But there is definitely attraction on both sides! And baby Clementine! What a doll! I absolutely loved her! She melts people’s hearts just with a grin. Troy doesn’t seem to really notice the scar on Eliza’s face…he falls for her wit, her courage, and the way she takes care of Clem. So the saying “don’t judge a book by its cover” seems to be the case in the way he interacts with Eliza. A young man comes calling and seems to want to court Eliza. But Troy knows something is just not right in this situation…and his dragon definitely does not like the man! There’s something fishy going on in the “community” where Eliza has property that she wants to develop and hold for Clementine when she reaches adulthood. Eliza and Troy go on a little mission and get to know each other better and Troy lets her know he’s developed feelings for her. The feelings are mutual. The story ends with true love overcoming all obstacles and I enjoyed every minute of reading it. I am certainly looking forward to reading Luka, the next book in this series. Another fantastic book from Tasha Black! This author knows how to write and reel you in and keep you reading until it’s finished! If you haven’t read the books in this series, what are you waiting for. This reader says you are going to love them!

Troy is the guardian of the baby and he keeps her safe from any possible threats he is a Dragon shifter that has realised that in fact Eliza is his mate and that they are meant to be together, however there is a few things in his way and he will deal with these to ensure her safety and their happiness as a family. Little did Troy know that the mother of the baby he'd grown so fond of would be more than someone to protect. Trying to fight his dragon's desires was hard enough. Along with some neighbors that seemed to be just what they could want came distractions, dangers, and a need to help. Something was off. Way off and to protect Clementine's inheritance they would work together. Would the dangers, competition, and insecurities keep them apart? Keep them from finding the source of their trouble? There is steam, a mix of good and bad characters, in another touching love story from Ms. Black.

Another good book in the series. And this one with Troy and Eliza, it’s like finally finding what you didn’t know you needed or wanted until you actually get it. Troy knows his only job is to protect the baby, he wasn’t too sure about having to hang around Elizer for the next 20 years especially fighting these strange feelings. Eliza, having suffered a trauma and having a disfiguring scar on her face had suffered so much, including what it has done to her self-esteem. This book started with some seriously promising Space Western world building. It was set in the future in a universe with a large a number of planets and aliens who had learned to travel and communicate. There were well-developed descriptions of inter-alien wars and the development of different types of flight. (A strong science fiction feel.) Black combined this was a need for interspecies settlers in newly discovered worlds. I was hooked because it seemed so promising. Black combined this was a need for interspecies settlers in newly discovered worlds. I was hooked because it seemed so promising. About 40% in to the story, though, all of that great development just stopped. The author started relying on Wild West tropes and stopped with the creative storytelling. It was obvious who the bad guy was and why all the water was "mysteriously" drying up. Also, Troy's sole life mission was to see to the safety of Clem, but then he leaves her with an old couple who has been injured a day after meeting them? (Huh!?!) The story stopped making sense at that point, and I simply could not understand how both Troy and Eliza would leave Clem and not take her? Despite the fantastic start to the story, I would not recommend this book. I feel like Black as an author has potential, though, so I might try to read another book by her to see if there are more with better world building and this one was weaker because it was the 10th in the series.

Another good read for the Alien Adoption series! I really enjoyed the heroine Eliza in this one, she has faced a trauma and bears a scar from it that makes her and others look at her differently. She grows to realize she is more than her scar, beautiful and worthy! Troy comes off kind of grumpy, but you really get to see the real him through their journey. He is a protector all the way and has no clue about women. I liked the neighbors and the mystery. Good read!

Eliza wants to be a mother, but a disfiguring scar is keeping her from finding someone to share her life with. When the opportunity arises to adopt a baby, she jumps at the chance, and soon finds herself with her new baby Clementine, and Clem’s sexy protector, Troy. Eliza and Troy were absolutely wonderful together, and their connection and chemistry were amazing. I adored them both. All the feels. A woman with few options, Eliza is strong and determined. When she has the chance for a family, she agrees to adopt little Clementine. But Clementine comes with a protector and while Troy will deny it both of them mean more than he can say. Awesome love story with all the feels you could want. They’ll have to work together because there is trouble out there. Cute baby, strong woman and hunky hero. Loved it.

I just love this series with the hot Invicta warrior dragons who love and are so gentle with the Imberian babies and then find love with the mothers who adopt those babies. Yummy Troy's duty is to protect Clementine until she is 20 but he was not expecting to find his mate with Eliza. They have an immediate attraction to each other. They have quite a few distractions before finding their love and complete and happy family. Troy is the 10th Alien Adoption Agency story and it’s as fresh, new and exciting as the very first one. I think it’s the best one yet. I like that the good guys can have tentacles and the bad guys are look very human. I love Troy, the character. He’s a real hero, wings and all. Eliza and Clementine are so very entertaining, the former is a very strong female. All together, the best read yet!

It’s insta-attraction between the two main characters, but neither are willing to admit it. You can almost hear the sizzle in the air when they are together. Both of them have a past to overcome before they can even possibly think of the future. Add to that: danger, mystery and….ghosts? And you’ve got one heck of a story.

Troy by T. Black is book ten in the AAA and can be read as a stand-alone. This is Troy and Eliza's story. Eliza can't find a male on earth and signes up for raising a little girl with the AAA: And Troy gets assigned to be their protector. A scarred heroine, a battered hero, a scorching story, 4 stars. I have loved every book of the series so far and this one was no exception. Troy and Eliza are made for each other but neither of them is willing to admit to the attraction. Eliza wants to be a mother so bad but a disfiguring scar has limited her finding a man on Earth so she signs up for the alien adoption agency. She gets matched up with Clementine and her protector Troy. Will Troy help her see that she is more than just her scar?

Tasha Black brings fun and seriousness and family to her Alien Adoption Agency series. Troy is another great book. A page turner (shadows and mysteries keep appearing) and a romance, a dragon and a terran and a baby. Bravo! I received a free copy of this book via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Troy and Eliza Eliza is excited to be adopting a baby. She was injured a long time ago and carries a scar on her face. She doesn't think anyone would love her because of the scar but a baby would so this is perfect for her. Troy is a dragon warrior in charge of protecting them. There is something else going on that may require his help. Loved this story.. Troy and Eliza Eliza is excited to be adopting a baby. She was injured a long time ago and carries a scar on her face.
