4 Stars Told in dual POV, 1st person, it’s the second installment in "The Devil’s Pawn" duet and should be read in order. It starts exactly where book one ends. As I said before, I love the anti-heroes Natasha Knight creates in her stories. The ones that you love one moment and hate the next. You don't know if you want to hug them or punch them. And the heroines that have this strength to reveal their compassion hidden beneath all their cruelties… All in all, I had a good time reading it and hope 4 Stars Told in dual POV, 1st person, it’s the second installment in "The Devil’s Pawn" duet and should be read in order. 4 STARS I know the monster I am. I’ve always known it. I’ve just never cared. Until now. After the jaw dropping cliffhanger in book one, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this book. The second installment also brought all of the steam, and more than made up for the slow burn in book one. We get to learn about Jericho's family history, and the truth behind the point of contention between him and his brother. I got to say that while I had a feeling about what it was, it was still a revelation. I really hope that we get Ezra's book next, because he was one of the most memorable secondary characters. I loved the way he protected his brother and tried to protect Isabelle too...even if at times it was from his own brother. Isabelle was a character I had to constantly remind myself of her age in this book. As much as she grew into her own, her naiveness when it came to her own family was almost jarring to watch unravel. I also got frustrated with how easily she forgave Jericho his numerous continuous screw ups. I wanted her to make him work for it, but at times her easy acceptance of his mistakes was frustrating. The story itself was entertaining, fast paced and full of twists. Like any Natasha Knight romance it read like the book crack that it was. To be honest, the small quibbles I had barely blipped on my radar because this book completely sucked me in. Knight books just do it for me. What can I say, her brand of alphaholes just hit the mark each and every time and Jericho was no different. ARC courtesy of author in exchange for an honest review Find me on:

Now that i've read the two books i can certainly say this is my least fav duet from NK. I know i said i didn't like Isabelle in the first one and while my opinion didn't change i couldn't help but feel bad for the girl. And yes she is barely an adult at 19 so being tricked and getting pregnant in such a bad deceitful way, being totally alone with some guy she barely knows is really messed up. "I’m nineteen years old.” Tears fill my eyes and a lump makes my throat close. “This isn’t what I wanted.” What I expected. Hoped for." "I think about how much I am under this man’s control. How he is the dictator of my life. " The only thing i didn't like was how she says all this things but her actions are not corresponding with her inner thoughts. She says she hates him, despises him but then couldn't help but getting wet and aroused when he's around. That's why i couldn't change my opinion, she needed more grit and more backbone. And jericho, i fucking HATED HIM. He was the typical asshole who did everything with an agenda(getting her to marry him then getting her pregnant just so he could take their family fortune). Of course he'd develop feelings for her but the way he expressed those feelings(or in this case didn't) with derogatory comments, anal sex just bc he wanted to punish her bc she giggled at her music teacher😤 I love the typical possessive, asshole H but he took his possessiveness on another lvl. "What did you say when he said that?” he asks, drawing out so only the tip is inside me. I know I’ll take at least one more. And maybe I deserve it. I swallow, can’t answer. “You giggled,” he says and delivers his most punishing thrust yet. “I’m sorry. I didn’t know what to say. How to react.” I can tell you how not to react. Don’t fucking giggle when some asshole is hitting on you and trying to belittle your husband.” I nod. He’s right. “I’m sorry. I am. Please.” How is this not abusive behaviour and manipulation?? The girl literally did nothing wrong except act like a normal human being.😭😭 but no, she was wrong and needed to be punished bc I REPEAT SHE GIGGLED AT ANOTHER MAN. When i thought he finally came to his senses🙄 He straight up abused her and was even close to killing her. "I think he’s going to kill me. Does he realize it? Does he realize how strong he is? How hard he’s squeezing? But just as my vision begins to fade, he’s off me, his attention diverted. I drop to my knees and gasp for breath, clutching my throat as I try to breathe. " "In an instant Jericho is standing over me again and I scramble backward on my butt. He crouches down, fists a handful of hair, and tugs my head back." Up!” he roars, gripping my hair and dragging me to my feet. I scream this time. he straight up dragged her all the way through the woods to the house. AND SHE WAS PREGNANT.😤😤😤 i wanted someone to finally kill him and save the poor girl from this lunatic. he made me sick to my stomach. i can't remember the last time i hated the H this much.😤 Have relationship troubles or disagreements? No problem, here let me fuck you or inject you with some tranquilizer. That was the only way they solved every problem. and pls don't make me start about that stupid stupid ending. i can't remember how many times i took deep breaths and paused reading to watch some cute cat reels to calm myself bc that was some dumb moronic shit. And i'm gonna wrap this review with my fav quotes: "I know if I wasn’t pregnant, he’d kill me. I know it." "And once you give me my baby, you’ll go by way of Nellie Bishop. I’ll bury you after I squeeze the breath out of you, you fucking deceitful bitch!

I hated Jericho St. James. It was ridiculous how gullible Isabelle was. How willing she was to immediately forgive Jericho. Also, I just couldn't believe how they suddenly "loved" each other... He was nothing but a jerk to Isabelle, always betraying her and manipulating her. I really disliked this book. I hated how sexist, toxic and crazy everything was. I'm so disappointed :/ Natasha Knight was my guilty pleasure, but it seems I won't be reading another of her books, at least in a while. This is p I hated Jericho St. James. I am so happy that Natasha decided to bring us another one story into the cruel "Society" world... In case you are wondering there is an amazing trilogy that is cowritten with A. Zavarelli out there!!! But in our story I return... "I may see a devil when I see Jericho St. James. But even the devil was an angel once." This was the perfect conclusion to Jericho and Isabelle's story... Jericho had married Isabelle in the name of revenge and when Isabelle started to feel kind of enamored with her husband, he ruined everything with his betrayal... She just feels tricked, but is she really surprised by his betrayal??? He never promised her anything more destruction in the name of vengeance... So why her heart has broken??? "Jericho St. James. My husband. My devil. The liar." Jericho finally has succeed in what he wanted to accomplice... He have Isabelle exactly where he wants her to be... So why her heartbreak is shaking him up??? His original plan never changed... He just wants to destroy all Bishops out there, but why he doesn't like seeing his wife unhappy??? And why this turn of events is making him kind of excited??? "I know the monster I am. I've always known it. I've just never cared. Until now." Well... this story was a complicated one... Jericho and Isabelle 've been forced together in the name of revenge... But along the cracks of their broken pieces, something beautiful had grown up... Unfortunately, Jericho's stubborness is not the only thing that is standing between them... Betrayal knows how to slip between the cracks and how to make irreparable damage... Are Jericho and Isabelle strong enough to not break what they are building slowly??? "...Bishop or not, vengeance or not, you're what I want..." I love this couple very much... Their story excited me very much and made me its slave... Natasha Knight knows how to write captivating stories with beautifully broken heroes... I also loved that the book was set to the IVI world and I loved very much the secondary characters... Dare I wish for a story about Zeke??? I'm feeling that this man had much to say!!! "I'm cursed, Isabelle. I hurt everyone I love. Or worse." **I received an ARC for the exchange of an honest review**

She knew Jericho was not with her because of his love. She knew that this was coming. She knew he would break her, betray her, then why does it hurt so much. Because a part of her hoped that her husband felt even a sliver of what she felt for him but she was clearly wrong. She was just a part of his scheme, she was always supposed to be collateral damage in his eyes. Jericho knew he would have to do this. The path was set, the rules had been made and love was never a part of the equation. Then why does a part of him hurt after seeing how he broke his wife? But no matter what, no matter how much she protests, she was his forever. Now more than ever. She was bound to him for her whole life and if she thought she had a way out of this, she was clearly very very wrong. Overall Opinion : God, I have been dying for this sequel for a long time lol. Well it's only been a month, but still. It's tough, alright? 🤣 Jericho and Isabella have a tale that is a bit different from what this author usually writes. I loved seeing so many cameos from one of my all time favorite read, the society trilogy by her. This duet of Natasha was a bit darker than her usual books. At least I felt that. The angst and steam was the same and I loved it so much!! Jericho and Isabella have a tale that I loved a lot. I wanted there to be more groveling but a few chapters into the books and I knew that was not Jericho's style 🤣 I loved him even more for that lmao. If you are a fan of Dark Kidnapping, forced marriage romance, then definitely read this duet. It's a single parent romance which will give you all the angst and Steam you need in your books. The Devil’s Redemption is riveting from start to finish- a transfixing marriage of mafia suspense and volcanic dark romance. I could not turn the pages fast enough to find out just what happens with our broken Jericho and our manipulated Isabelle. And this edgy finale does not disappoint! This duet conclusion picks up right after the jaw-dropping cliff hanger revelations of book 1, and Isabelle discovers the betrayal and calculated entrapment of her villainous captor and husband, a man she was starting to soften too despite his ruthless handling of her. There are so many secrets to expose, so many lies and half truths, and many misunderstandings- all that make this finale a raw and jagged ride to the happy end. While all of Natasha’s stories have a darker element, relationally our heroes usually start to embody a more protective, obsessive tone with their ladies. And Jericho strikes a decidedly different stride in this story- while he’s certainly obsessive and possessive, I’d say his relationship with Isabella has more of a dark edge even in book 2 than some of her others. Jericho does not soften much, and his punishing distrust and almost-crazed focus on revenge (and blind prejudice against Isabelle’s family) cause him to continue to strike a dangerous line when it comes to his passionate love of his stolen wife and his simmering hatred for the blood that runs in her veins. He’s a dark alpha through and through, and even with Isabelle in a delicate situation thanks to his actions, he doesn’t hold much back when it comes to trying to work through his conflicting feelings. Fortunately, we also see the vulnerability to him, we recognize the monster has been made out of centuries old trauma and personal pain. His actions may not be justified, but we understand his flaws, even if for some he may be more monstrous than romantic. And Isabella is a wonder- she’s truly alone in so many ways, equal parts trapped with an enemy she never knew she had, trapped in her own body, and trapped in a family lineage that she never wanted. But that’s the beauty of her transformation, the pawn in the nefarious machinations of powerful men finds her own power in this story, even when she’s by far the most powerless. She navigates the precarious situation she finds herself in with gentleness and strength, even though out of them all she’s perhaps lost the most, and she’s certainly the most innocent. But she finds a home in what was once her prison, a self-power in finally finding her place, though it’s the last pace she expected to find it- with her devil. Their relationship is toxic, vitriolic, chaotic in places, but there is also a savage beauty to the depth of their connection, one that can’t seem to be severed despite the wounds that characterize their passionate coupling. They’ll frustrate and excite you as something ugly and tainted transforms into something stabilizing and healing as vengeance and distrust blossom into deep love. There are lots of twists and turns to this finale, and again a darker edge to the relationship than I’ve seen before in the final leg of a NK romance. Redemption here is a lot less about the devil finding his light and a lot more about the heroine loving him enough to stand in the darkness with him. Isabelle sees the full spectrum of Jericho, his dark and light, and loves him nonetheless, and that is where the redemption lies- that the darkness within us may even be worthy of love.

But also knowing Jericho’s feelings were changing…at the very least conflicted…towards his young wife. And Isabelle….seeing glimpses of a different Jericho, made her soften towards him,her feelings about her devil changing. Finding out more about Jericho’s history made me see him and his brother Zeke in a different light. Hearing what really happened to Christian, and nearly to Isabelle, and why,was devastating. And the ones responsible weren’t done yet! They were determined to finish the job,not caring she was pregnant. Or what it would mean to Angelique to lose the motherfigure she’d become. The twists and turns kept coming, keeping me glued to the pages. I finally managed to relax when i reached the last pages, when i knew for sure the people i grew to love were safe. And when i knew for sure the ones responsible for the threats, for all the evil, were dealt with in a very satisfying way…. Isabelle may have looked like a pushover, but she was only 19. She was a girl with compassion, even after everything that happened to her. She saw the good in people, was loyal and caring. She may have been forced to marry Jericho, but she kept an open mind, and saw his sweeter side. Jericho may have seen himself as a bad guy,but he cared about his family, about the wife he took for revenge. He paid attention and gave her what she needed most of the time. He may have forced her to marry him,but seeing her kindness, her caring side, changed him for the better.

As the plot unfolds in the lovely wrap of gothic and romantic suspense, predictably unfortunately, a sweet and spunky but woefully, annoyingly obtuse Isabelle develops stronger feelings for her broody, devilish Jericho. And he for her. Side characters are so influential to this plot line. Such machinations. Very similar to the Society trilogy but less dark, I loved the spice -- Jericho was hot! -- loved the secret society backdrop and the crossover world with the original series. I had a hard time suspending belief on the heroine's recklessness, her trusting of relatives who by their very action demonstrated they didn't have her best interests at heart. Cousin Julia was the typical linear, conniving character. Against a possessive but protective Jericho, I'm not sure of some of the choices Isabelle made. Still, I enjoyed the story even if I did throw my Kindle from time to time. This author knows how make a delicious, dominating antihero within a gothic setting.

But when his carefully laid-out plan starts to crumble, a shift happens, and Jericho starts to give Isabella a bit of leeway, allowing her to reconnect with her friends and family. All seems to be going well until Jericho becomes possessive as well as jealous and has to question his true feelings. But while this is all unfolding, evil lurks and he is not the only one out for revenge. It seems that Isabella is a pawn not only to Jericho. The Bishops seem to be more sinister than she realized, but who do you trust, the family you know or the man you married. Isabella finds a hidden secret regarding Jericho’s family and this brings him to his knees. The society seems to be listening and trusting their own sources which again puts doubt in both Jericho and Isabella’s minds. When an incident happens it throws a spanner in the works, and Jericho unveils his true colors and shows his wife the devil he is. Can she survive or will she be digging her own grave next to all her predecessors? Ms. Knight has woven this story and given us a ruthless villain. And yet I really enjoyed him, his darkness, his punishing ways, and prejudgment against the Bishop family, made him darker than most of her villains. However, where his daughter was concerned he was a protective and loving father. At times I did want Isabella to put up more of a fight, but then I realized she stayed true to her character and she was also young. Lots of secrets unfolded and while suspicion was cast, I had my doubts and had already worked out part of the plot. However, it did not detract from the story. The writing was wonderful and pulled you in with every gasp. All the threads were neatly tied up and all the questions were answered. Ms. Knight never disappoints and I can’t wait to read more of her wonderful characters.

Revenge was rarely sweet… And the thirst for retribution had Isabelle and Jericho firmly in its grasp. How could love begin let alone thrive in such a place? The highs and lows were incredible as twists and turns found them (forced them!) closer and farther apart than ever. No time to breathe, decisions were made that pushed them into making life-changing decisions. With profound consequences, come he** or high water… Through it all, these characters became more and more real… I was lost in this read (both of them!) as I hung on every said and unsaid word. Hearing, feeling, what they were going through in their own voices meant the emotions were not just heard but felt… Devastating, heart-pinging, hopeful and fearful – it was all there. And made for an amazing story… This author knows how to create worlds I want to hide in, and she did it again… Phenomenal! ~Diane, 5 stars

Devil's Redemption is the conclusion to Jericho and Isabelle's dark and steamy love story. their story was one filled with revenge, hatred, and very raw and intense moments. I wasn't sure if I loved or hated Jericho. Actually, that's not really true, I loved him even though at times I hate him. I saw beneath the hard exterior, the hatred he had for her family and saw a man who had a heart whether he wanted to admit it or not. If you thought that this book would be more rainbows and unicorns and less darkness, you thought wrong. these two still had to work through a lot to get to their happily ever after. We know that they were both falling for each other, but the biggest issue between the two of them was trust. And with those trust issues came a lot of dark moments, but there were also the moments they made you see how perfect they were for each other. how Isabelle brought out a side of him that he never expected. And yes she brought out the dark Sid of him, but at the same time she was his light. And that is what I loved. Devil's Redemption is about Isabelle and Jericho not only finding their happy ending but learning to trust each other and be able to navigate the good with the bad. How to come together and figure out who are their enemies and who are their friends. And that is where their trust for one another become so important. I don't want to go into any more detail because you just need to experience this book without knowing anything else. What I can say, is that this book is just as dark, raw, intense and well dare I say steamy as the first. This is Natasha Knight we are talking about, so what else can one expect. It’s the very reason why I have loved whey book of hers that I have read. She knows how to write dark romance in a way that takes you out of your comfort zone but not too much where you bear to read further. She know how to question your own morals and sanity because somehow she makes you fall for the monster in the story, the anti-hero. And I can tell you that I fell hard for Jericho!!! So, If you love all of the above then this duet is for you. Jericho will test your limits. Isabelle will frustrate you to no end but at the same time you will admire her strength. Jericho will hold onto your heart no matter how much you claim to hate him. And together you will see just how perfect they are. I loved every minute of this series. A must read for sure.

Better plotting than in book 1, for sure...even though at times it sounded like smth from the Jerry Springer show, BUT ok, it's not something that would deter me from reading...LOL unfortunately, the characters got worse for me...especially the heroine...gawd... the only bright star is the secondary cast - Ezekiel aka Zeke! I thoroughly enjoyed the first part. What I'm looking forward to in this one is to see Isabelle actually process just how far Jericho went to avenge his wife. We need to see her thinking about the fact that absolutely no one surrounding her have her best interest in mind, at least not at the cost of their own agenda. She's truly alone, with the people who really loved her already dead; she's barely into adulthood. Also, please make her actually show her hatred towards Jericho's actions. Far too often the weight of such despicable deeds are swept under angry sex. It can be supremely disappointing.

Disclaimer: this review contains spoiler for book #1 (Devil's Pawn) Discovering that Jericho swapped her pills put a wedge between them. Isabelle finds herself questioning the motives behind everything Jericho does. Is he doing this for the baby? Or me? And watching him turn his protectiveness on towards her was oddly heartwarming. His carefully orchestrated plans of revenge went into the drain once he started developing feelings for his wife and it was both a joy to watch him fight against said feelings and a heartbreak to see how deep his guilt run. In this book we finally learn what happens in the past, both with Isabelle’s brother and Jericho’s father. I must admit I was expecting the villain to be who it turned out to be but understanding how much pain they wove and what was their end goal totally added to the story. I really love when villains aren’t who they look to be to the main characters. Their influence and the ability to manipulate them. Natasha Knight can never write wrong. Each book she releases somehow surpasses the previous and this is the best she has written. It was a little darker and more edgy than her previous books. Her brand of alphas is unequal. Jericho certainly was the anti-hero. Some of his actions had my heart galloping because they are that edgy and his no-nonsense need to shelter and at the same time keep his wife prisoner because of his fear should raise a lot of red flags but we are here for all the dark we can get and not for the socially acceptable heroes we usually get. And the way she also writes her heroines are perfectly balanced with the dark of the heroes. Isabelle is the light to Jericho’s dark and the cure to his demons. “Just as she’s mine, so am I hers. We belong to one another. Until death do us part.” The angst and the steam are still present between these two. I was especially happy for the appearance of my all-time favorite characters: Ivy and Santiago. watching how they are in the future. Ivy is the only one that can understand Belle because of how similar their story is to Jericho and Isabelle. The side characters were also fantastic. Maggs, Zeke and Angelique. I can’t wait for Zeke’s story because I know deep in my bones it is happening. Thank you to Give Me Books Promotion for the opportunity to read the ARC of this delicious book.

This conclusion to Isabelle and Jericho’s dark and complex story is full of twists and turns. The secrets just kept spilling over like a waterfall. It explores their relationship in a more “normal” setting than the first book. They are in a more family setting. It’s still a dark romance so it’s not actually “normal” of course. There’s still plenty of kinky things and mind messing going on. I loved that it had plenty of surprises still in store for me. I did get frustrated at times with Isabelle’s trusting nature and naivety, then I remembered that she is only 19 years old in a very complicated, secretive and powerful setting. I love the way things come together and play out. Some were surprising, some were foreshadowed and I saw coming. I enjoyed the characters journey and I really loved the kids and the part they play in the story. They bring the humanity and light to the story and characters. Very enjoyable story, love this book and the duet.

Devil's Redemption (Devil's Pawn Duet #2) Natasha Knight picks up where book 1 left off. Isabelle is devastated and angry that her husband switched her birth control pills and she is pregnant at 19. She is also concerned that after the baby is born she will be killed and her baby taken from her.  Same issues plague her and she is still struggling with her feelings for her husband plus who should she believe, her husband or her cousin. Jericho is also struggling with his feelings for his wife and his need for revenge. Revenge was always the plan but the more time he spends with her the more his feelings for her change. His constant waffling between revenge and love definitely gave me whiplash. To further add to Jericho's plate he is trying to find out what his brother is hiding and why his sister would kill herself especially since she didn't leave any clues. The cat and mouse of it all kept this reader interested. The bread crumbs the author kept dropping had me chopping at the bit and the conclusion had a few twist that enhanced the story even more. A fabulous conclusion to this story. Really looking forward to more books about The Society.  I also like catching up with the characters from the other books. Wonder whose story is next. 4.5 stars for me.

Natasha, is an absolute queen when it comes to forced marriage. Book 1 was incredible-and I didn’t know if the scale was ever going to be tipped in favor of Jericho. The ending of book 1 was like a nuclear bomb was dropped inside my chest-but I was still so excited to see how everything was going to be handled. Book 2 picks up exactly where we were left gutted-so be aware, you definitely have to read book 1. “And even if he wants to choose me, I don’t think Jericho St. James can put his vengeance aside to love me.” A mafia romance that will break you and put you back together in a perfect duet!!
