Not much different from the other supposed graphic novel. Hope the books are better.

More art than pictures. Very little words. This one amps up the surrealism in a few of the images, especially with the cutout pages. Again my favorite part was finding the hidden glossy messages. It definitely feels like this should be for kids as it's so simple and quick to read through. But the main character of the original book series is a tween [I believe] so it makes sense that they would market these books to the same audience. I can't say it really works; because even though these graphic novels [of a sort] do give an insight into how Emily's mind might work, her imagination, her dreams, it's a little abstract, and tweens might blow these books off cause on the first read through it will look childish to them [which means they probably won't read it again].

im confused the comic books are for teens, tween, but this was for like a 5-6 years old and then the're novels that are for teens. this is all over the place and you never know what you will get. so far I have yet to read a real story, one that is done well would be really good and tell me who she is, and why she does what she does. im confused the comic books are for teens, tween, but this was for like a 5-6 years old and then the're novels that are for teens. this is all over the place and you never know what you will get. so far I have yet to read a real story, one that is done well would be really good and tell me who she is, and why she does what she does.

Emily Strange is Olivia the pig grown up into a goth teen girl. It's perfect for those girls that like Toki Doki and Happy Bunny books. Emily Strange is Olivia the pig grown up into a goth teen girl. It's perfect for those girls that like Toki Doki and Happy Bunny books.

Not really sure I understand... Reminds me of the old jazz bars where people recite poetry and snap their fingers instead of clap....

What is this kind of book anyway? There's nothing more than a few words on each page, and must of them include strange pictures. What is this kind of book anyway? There's nothing more than a few words on each page, and must of them include strange pictures.
